Well done! That first launch you did where you were giggling uncontrollably was golden! One of your most enjoyable vids!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
INCREDIBLE! All this in a car you can drive the family around in and go to the grocery store and it even comes with a warranty. WOW! Well done Dodge. Everyone else is playing catch up!
That grey colour looks amazing.
Totally agree. I think that's the one, but I still prefer black.
dsontacchi It does. In person it is fantastic. When it gets wet or after a rainfall it is goddamn sexy af.
The Destroyer Grey is intriguing, it's very vivid for a grey. But that dark merlot Octane Red does it for me 💯.
Well Dodge always had the most vivid colors back in the day imo... maybe the most choices of Wild colors...
That destroyer gray is beautiful and my favorite.
The Demon seems to be one of the best therapeutic offerings that Dodge has released to date. As usual, dodge killing two birds with one hammer :-)
xenfreder I'm a Mopar guy but the demon is a stupid car ...you can literally take a hellcat (used) do some mods and be just as fast for less money
Rykedrick Williams Totally agree if your into modding...which I am. However some want to buy something that is ready out of the gate. This one checks all those boxes. Glad we all have choices though!
xenfreder yep it's a great time to be a car guy
Rykedrick Williams The demon was made to do more than what a hellcat does with mods or without "Mopar Guy".
DonJulio how do you figure... so far the demon is a flop...it's so track sensitive it's crazy ....the record for hellcat on drag radials is 10.6 I believe...the demons I've seen so far are timing in mid 10s
Knocked it out of the park Brian. The best Demon video I've seen to date!
Thanks, Brett! Glad you enjoyed it! Had a great time, what a car...
Brian Makse I could tell! :)
tanks man
Hell yea love the laughing says it all.
The grey with black looks slick
Welcome back, Brian! Missed seeing your videos.
Another great review! No long winded preamble just the facts driving experience and you honedt reactions! Way to go! Ill take mine in black please!!!
Thanks! I could have done an hour long episode with this thing. I’m fortunate to have driven the Demon and it’s one of the greatest cars of all time.
Destroyer Grey looks so fuckin' godlike!

Really good review, I love the information you gave. Gave extra insight into how the car works. Earned a sub from me.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy what's coming up!
Great shots and review! Even though I would never buy this car, it was a pleasure to learn more about it!
+inchskater thanks!
Dodge!!
You guys knocked it out of the park!!!!
Great video and very interesting informative! Thanks so much for sharing
+jpage99999 thanks!
Very Nice Review Brian. I bet it was a Blast to Take it for a Drive on the Street and Especially on the Drag Strip where it lives! I got a 2015 Hellcat Challenger and i absolutly love it. Ill eventually get a Ride in The Demon someday! Thnx for the Video!
It is a blast. Amazing machine. Thanks - and thanks for watching!

+Hemi Dave thanks! And thanks for watching!
Amazing video very good stuff man Kick Ass Demon.
+AMDSITHLORD thanks for watching!
the yellow, solar yellow is beautiful,i had a rare dakota r/t truck this colour
I freaking love that "oh no you didn't grey"😂
Great review. You have driven all kinds of exotics...yet NEVER responded to a car like that.
Truth right there! Glad you liked the vid.
I thought I didn't like it. but seeing this "Destroyer Grey" color in motion, it's actually looks pretty wicked.
You could do that all day and I could hear you giggle like that all day :)
The first car that I have ever wanted!
What a masterpiece. I love that cars like this exist. 😎
Indeed.
I really enjoyed this video, especially being a first reaction video, giggling and all that . Really cool. EXCEPT my kids stopped using the word MEGA to describe things years ago, lol Could start a drinking game, take a drink ever time you say mega. Just pulling your leg, great video!
+Pops Smith Mega!
Pops Smith - Better yet, sit down to watch Demon videos. Take a drink each time they launch one down the strip. You'll be drunk in five minutes flat, which is also a production record.
Great thorough review...thanks for posting! Love the Destroyer Grey. I've had three Billet Silver Challengers (13/14/15), but will seriously consider Destroyer Grey when my lease is up next year. Demon's out of my budget, sadly... but the wide-bodied Hellcat is intriguing!
+KenRT14 good stuff, thanks for watching!
leaSE
Insane
That machine is amazing
👍
Hey Brian, I can't believe the guys Dissin' your review. For a guy to run 10's his first time out on a strip is pretty Friggin good! I probably would have wrecked if I drove a machine that fast my first time out (50 years ago). I'm running 11's in a Hellcat Charger and it still feels like a rocket sled to this old guy. I liked your narrative during your review too, you're a pro!
Eagle
+Smokin' Eagle thanks, Eagle! It was a blast! And, hey, the Hellcat's awesome! The new Widebody is definitely my jam.
I enjoyed your reaction to the acceleration, Brian!! You were turning times about the same as I turn in my 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 650 horsepower drag car. Ain't it fun???
HECK YEAH! It was my first time at a drag strip. What a blast. Tough to get it right, as well.
Too cool!
I can't wait to buy it
Regardless of what people say about the Demon, when a car can make someone feel the way you apparently did, it did its job.
Can't beat that.
Indeed. Glad you enjoyed the piece.
That battleship gray is awesome!
+holoholo haole no ka oi yeah, I dig it too.
awesome car
I noticed the shifts bouncing you in the seat, pretty strong. mega is right.
That was an awesome "piece''. that car is mindblowing....... such awesome usage of modern tech. the ac cooled intercooler, the shocks and trans brake are the most impressive. ps. line lock too :)
Cheers, thanks for watching!
The demon wheels talking of the front wheels want to stand out when he hit the pedal such amazing speed 😁😎
The demon is the fucking bomb, baby. O.M.G.
What a car. I used to drive a 1970 challenger, my mom's friend owned. What a joy of a car to drive. It was so much taking that car every where. It was b'fore the challenger became cool, and highly popular. It is cool dodge decided to continue on this new era of new generation, they get to enjoy what I enjoyed in 1970, for r years. O.M.G. have fun driving one new owners. Great choice.
Absolutely gorgeous car! I kinda wanted to give this video a thumbs down because I'm so envious that it's not me behind the wheel! But massive thumbs up for this immaculate, beast of machinery perfection!
We get thumbs down for less.
eye haved deside since i whas 15 years old to baying a challanger one time in life ...and now its looking really great i must say -))))))))
That laugh said it all
yes
What a monster!
You need a cage but at some dragstrips you hafta have a parachute also when your setting those times.
Pure badassery.
I remember when the release video came out for this I repainted my room.
good video
Not an FCA fan but DAMN, its so beautifully engineered and they can take a massive beating
I'm a Chevy Guy but Dang that's really impressive!!
Very cool! : )
How do you get to the point of test driving cars on you tube? I had a 2009 challenger RT that would stick like glue in the curves. Even before I lowered it. Awesome car.
What does he mean at 2:20 about the slip diff? Has it a slip diff or what does he mean?
Much more fun to hear this guy laugh than the car making a useless run down the quarter mile.
beautiful video! What camera did you guys used for the gimbal shots? it looks super good!
GoPro.
the video at 0:53 is clearly not a gopro :P
At 7:58...sounds like a lion growling!! Awsome car
I love the car and think it looks like like a lot of fun and would definitely put a smile on anyone's face but with more research I found it only dose 168 mph without the drag tires I expected more
+Conor Mcgregor it's a drag oriented car, mate. If you want something with more legs, get a Hellcat.
I'm not surprise for this one cuz they always push to the limit and since then challenger is one hell of the best. i never dream any luxury car but one day if i have one challenger would be great for me :)
The Challenger is fantastic and worthy of a dream. Keep on it!
That nervous laughter says it all 😂😂 🔥🔥🔥
I almost peed a little.
I wish someone would do a video of the Interior of "The Demon" and where the Line Lock is & Trans Brake and in the video show the person using them.
Same here.
it does wheel stands very easy love that if i was rich i would go buy it car like that need wild paint job
Suede steering wheel...YES!!!
Dodge came out with the 426 Hemi in the late 50's and nothing has been able to touch it since.
History is repeating and Mopar is the king again.
At a local drag race track, someone with a Chevy held the speed and time record.
Then someone came from the north with a 426 Hemi blew his record away.
He wanted his record back (long story short) he blew two Chevy engines trying to beat the one Mopar
I've been Mopar fan from way back.
I currently own two 72 Dodge Chargers, 72 Plymouth Twister Duster, 72 Plymouth Satellite, 75 Plymouth Road Runner, and a 74 Plymouth Valiant.
Would you consider something from this century?
An old independent mechanic of 40 years doesn't have anything good to say about the 2003 or newer vehicles, in fact he sold off all his newer cars and fixed up much older vehicles and that's what he drives. He calls the new cars money eaters, he should know he works on them everyday. For example to replace an alternator, an older car cost around $50. newer vehicles cost around $300.00 and you have to have a garage to do the work so you won't screw up a computer. I like the older cars as I CAN work on them myself. As for fuel millage... I can buy a heck a lot of gas for the newer car cost. It's each to their own, but you asked.
Such a beautiful car, I just wish the styling was a bit more different from a typical challenger... Make it a little bit more refined. Of course there are differences, but a normal onlooker can't tell between a base challenger and a Demon. Most performance models of existing cars you can usually see a notable difference. An example would be a 2015 GT vs GT350, Very clear which is the enthusiast/high end model.
That's why blokes like us will know one when we see one.
Is this car made with a standard transmission?
Best car ever superb widebody
RIP To The Voss Bottle @ 5:12
OMG i want 1 !!!
No death effectiveness income sidewalk stir perfectly.
In love
how come the rear seats are there and no bars?
What times did you get?
Why does it pause wen it jumps from 1st ta 2nd it like a cut off to keep it on tha ground.
does the power gain from colder air offset the power loss from the resistance of the ac compressor?
It wouldn't make sense otherwise.
3.09 rear gears? put some 4.56 in there, wonder 0-60 and quarter mile times then?
His reaction at about 5:20 is worth the video
Would like to buy one of those Demon t-shirts. Were did you get it from?? let me know. Thanks
Tell Jim I sent you! www.detroitshirt.com/collections/mens-unisex/products/mens-new-dodge-demon-fire-heather-black
so when will these be out and show some real numbers? All these test runs seem to end short
Buy one and find out.
Love it! As an old time Demon drag racer ('72) I shudder to think what all of "the built in tech" is going to unleash on the general public. We all know there are far too many kids out there with more dollars than sense, who will "follow the directions" and get into trouble INSTANTLY! I see them regularly with their tuner cars getting in lots of trouble on the street. It takes years to learn how to handle a drag car properly, and now all they have to do is push a couple of buttons, and they are good to go. Even though I would personally love one (even to play with for a day or two) ... having one in the untrained, and inexperienced, hands of some of these kids nowadays is just scary!
+Doc Dolan that was basically me. I'd never been on a drag strip before that day.
I heard you say that .... however, I am sure you got a 'primer' before getting in the seat, and you seem like a reasonable adult who knows his limitations, and acts accordingly!
Decades of racing might have helped, but this thing is remarkably civilized. With limited volume, few kids will get their hands on them. Idiots, however, will undoubtedly crash them as soon as they hit the ground. It will be a sad day because this is a truly legendary car.
That it will! I have HAD that experience (putting something in someone's hands who had no idea how to handle it). I sold a high performance HD Chopper to a kid ... for 4 times what it cost me to build it. (I really wasn't looking to sell ... but for that money ... !) His Daddy gave me a cashiers check for it. He didn't have it a week before he wrapped it around a telephone pole out on the highway. I "strongly advised" his father to make sure he took lessons on Big Twins before letting him have it, warning him it was way too much bike for the kid ... but he didn't - two years of building ... utterly destroyed in a few seconds. The kid eventually healed, and I was told that he was never going to ride again. Luckily he didn't hurt anyone but himself. I'd hate to see that happen to one of these ... but like you say, I am sure it will.
What were your numbers?
Why is this Demon clocking 11+ in the 1/4?
supercharger is supplied by Japanese manufacturer. Air conditioner used to cool intercooler been around over a decade. And dodge released 10 second race cars off the showroom floor back in the late 60s with a real hemi engine in it not the fake one in this car. True hot rodders enjoy making their factory car fast and can do it cheaper. There is both supercharged camaros and mustang going faster than the demon for less money with the factory engine and supercharger. just upgraded tires and suspension just like the demon had to do to run fast times.
Don't forget that it's made in Canada.
Indianapolis my hometown, You should of told me, I would have came to see. what is the odds of that the demon first time on a drag track would be here, Must be that I should get one.
I own one. Love it
When did you take delivery?
Only car by dodge I would get
Where would you go to run this? Most (all?) tracks would not let this car run.
This is a funny car. Get that one Brian?
Got it. And that is funny.
Brian Makse what did you run for time?
Ty Highway
I LOVE it......and can see the "G's" smashing his body.......lol.....amazing....hahahahahahaha
Great video! Thanks! And to everybody that doesnt like dodge. Atleast dodge is motivating other car companies to make faster, safer cars! And thats pretty cool! Lol!
Thanks!
I NEED IT IN ALL BLACK AND WITH CUSTOM WHEELS THOUGH
Leave it to Chrysler to omit manual shift in a mussel car. When I got my XJ 1997 Jeep, if you got the heavy duty model (and I don't know why you'd buy light duty) it only came with automatic 4 speed. Nothing like Chrysler making your mind up for you and limiting or removing what could be one of the most fun aspects of driving any car. They did the same thing with their trucks too and when you do get manual shift it only has 12,000 miles warranty.
Pete_ Hine_Of_PA the automatic is faster. That's why they chose it. Otherwise you can buy a hellcat
Justin: While I do agree with you about the the Automatic being faster, that is not the case in Jeeps & Trucks where usually pulling power and durability is the aspect customers/ drivers are looking for. My key point is that Chrysler does not offer the customer the choice. I am noticing the new 1997 Ford Mustang V6-300 HP , are mostly manual Trans, a fun car to drive. I will grant you that won't hold a candle to the Dodge Demon 800 HP or even it's Own Mustang 500 HP but, for some sport car drivers the manual shift feels good regardless if in a truck or a car. Had I'd been able to get manual shift in my Jeep and they would warranty it, I would have gotten manual hands down. But I don't think you will find any Jeeps in a Cherokee heavy-duty that have factory automatics over the millions they made thru 97 to 2002. I'm saying I'd of liked to had the choice.
+Justin Davison indeed.
Brian your snappy comebacks to the hater comments are genius dude. Oh and the Challenger is insane. I wonder if Dodge gives a rebate for all of the first month speeding tickets I'm sure every driver will see. Hmmm.
+Box One ha! I didn't get banned from more than one automotive forum for not being witty. Plus, I reserve commenting on haters for those times when I'm in the bathroom. Dodge will send you to racing school, but you're on your own when it comes to the law.
Brian Makse indeed Brian. Keep making good vids brother.
I"m soooo fn jealous
That was Great! I think an open face helmet would be enough. Let's see you drift it now!
+Davil yeah, I've got one of those somewhere, but they look so lame...
Wrong on the nhra part. Nhra actually loves and embraces the car, but you just need to install roll cage for safety. Its just because it isnt safe going at those speeds with a roll cage..
Does Dodge sell the car with a cage?
Why does it look slow on the strip from the outside
Dude you're in Indy?! Let's Link up and have a drive!
+Tanner Lawson I was that day. Haven't been there in years, otherwise. Come to Toronto!
