Sublime! Absolutely the nicest 1940 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet Zephyr ever! The colors compliment the body design and look superb on this example. (Those colors remind me of the 1975 & 1977 Cadillac color "Jennifer Blue"--sometimes paired with a Dark Blue Top, too.) WOW!!!

If you had pulled the handle on the side of the seat it would have folded forward so you/we would have been able to see the rear compartment.

Beautiful car indeed, although I'd be terrified reversing it into a parking space with only that letterbox back window and small side mirror to guide me! It was a car almost identical to this that I first saw and fell in love with in a classic 1945 murder mystery/musical film, 'Lady on a Train', starring Deana Durban. The film is thoroughly enjoyable, but the car really caught my imagination.

Top Down Then You Can See !

@thenov1944 Very true! However, in the film the car is seen at night in mid-winter, with snow on the roof, which would make dropping the top pretty uncomfortable! Also, is it a power top, I wonder? If it's not, putting it down just to reverse into a space - especially in the rain - might be quite a job. ;-)

I just googled that movie Wetsuitntie. Now I gotta find it to catch the scenes of the car. As for the rear window it is obvious style over function and this car has gobs of style.👍 Thanks for watching.

I love the way Americans say “car” not so keen on their pronounciation of Jaguar and coupe

I hear you Mark. This Lincoln rivals pretty much anything from 1940. I can't think of a prettier car from 1940. Thanks for watching.
