This is day one and two of our Fall 2023, 16-day motorcycle adventure. In this video, I share the ride, the stops, the route, the people we met and the fun times we had.
AND..Do You Remember the Red CVO Triglide that I traded in last year for my RG3? You will see it and meet my new wind sister who joins my daughter and me on our trip this year in this video.

Wish I had known you would be in my neck of the woods...I Live only 1.5 hours west of Ann Arbor Michigan....Having lived here for 3 years now, I have yet to visit Mackinac Island....That's a trip for this Spring ! That was my 2nd time to Mackinaw Island. I LOVE IT there. Went there with Melinda in 2005. Loved sharing this experience with my daughter and friend. I would love to have met you. Maybe someday. Me and my wife we are working hard towards getting our motorcycle and we are getting closer and closer every single day. We are very excited and can’t wait to get our motorcycle. I have friends in North Carolina that’s a good friend of mine and I can’t wait to meet new friends on the other with my motorcycle.

Yes. I lived in Waverly and Chillicothe OH for about 18 years... went to Old Man's cave a few times and road my two wheel motorcycle that way a couple times. I need to get back up there.
We go to Myrtle down 77 every mid Feb. beautiful drive. The Mac Island trip is great. That’s where they filmed the movie Somewhere in Time was filmed at The Grand Hotel.
YES!!! My favorite movie when I was younger. Did not make it up to the Grand Hotel this time, but we did back in 2005 when Melinda and I were there together. Thanks so much for watching.

Enjoyed your video as usual. Really missed your presentations. The club I belong to Law Dogs Delaware Chapter held the National Rally in Mackinaw City. Oh yes that ride across the bridge is awesome. I believe the water under the bridge I think is almost 300 feet deep. Can't wait for your followup video. Blessings

Absolutely love this video. I’ve been trying to get one of our sons on a long road trip with us but no takers so far. Daytona in March, Milwaukee and Sturgis in July. Hopefully we’ll cross paths this year. ✌🏾✌🏾
I am planning a trip northeast this year to get 11 states marked off my list. I hope your sons get out there with you. Not a better time than to be with those you love on the ride you love. I would love to have our paths cross. :)

Been waiting on part 2 you passed where I grew up in SC and in Charlotte, since we moved to Ashe County NC in the Blue Ridge paitently waiting for the weather to warm up and I can get out to ride. The bike is at the Harley Shop getting a load of upgrades. Would love to take one of the rides with Yall!

Y'all ride way to much in one day for me.. I'm an out by 8am and to my next hotel by 5pm and that is with those tourists stops in between. And it was good seeing you and your sister last weekend at Low Country.
Hey there, Doug. My goal is to mark off those states and get the miles in with the amount of time I have. Once I have hit all 48 states on my list (18 more to go), then I will go back and plan rides that are fewer miles per day and enjoy the route more. I am anxious to hear how your Natchez Trace Trail ride goes. When you are in Natchez, Mississippi, plan to stop at the mansion Melrose-- I have an ancestor who was one of the architects of that mansion. It was great seeing you earlier this month. Be looking for the video coming out next I think that you will be in.....
@@MidLifeStyleTwins yep me too... knocking two more out in June, and I'm thinking of doing a four corner ride which would knock out the rest, but would need to take a 3 week vaca for that to be done..

Thanks! I went to the RoadGlide 3 because I love the sporty open feel of the RG3. That is really the only reason. I love both motorcycles.
I'm up here in Ohio would it be worth the ride to low ride Harley to buy a new trike

I used to ride 2 wheels (sportster, soft tail) and then went to Triglide (had 2 of them),... I absolutely LOVE my Road Glide 3. I love the sporty clean lines, I love the fixed faring and I love the stability of 3 wheels. The only problem with my RG3 is the passenger seat. I will be fixing that soon by buying a mustang seat. Answer, YES... I would recommend and would buy this model all over again. I hope this helps. :)
Could you tell me what handlebars and seat you went with
I will be getting a Mustang seat (for our next trip). Had to save money for that. They are not cheap. I do not know who makes those handlebars but they are 14 inch.

Low Country in North Charleston has the 2024 Sharkskin Blue. The Summerville SC location has a Atlas Silver Metalic (A DEFINITE BEAUTY). Not sure the pricing or if it would be worth the trip, but I know the guys at both locations. :). Weather sure is nice right now (almost 80 down here today).

@@MidLifeStyleTwins How are you doing - ok …? I used to live in Southport, NC we would travel quite a bit to Mount Pleasant and Charleston every two or so months loved it there. We live in the Triad Area of NC now got tired of the crowds and running from hurricanes …🤣
