So two years ago, I bought 23 and Me as a birthday gift for my sister, because she's always wanted to do a DNA test, and I have a spit phobia and wanted to see the health statistics for fun. Win-win.
But we also found our long lost half sister, and she's a hoot. :D We reunited her with our dad, which is cool because her birth mum kinda snubbed her. And then just last month, my mom's first cousin reached out to my sister to ask about my mom, who was adopted. So now my mom might have the opportunity to meet her birth mom. It's kind of nice because her sister died last year, and she was kind of the last of our immediate family for my mum. So making new connections was pretty great, timing wise.
But yeah, we're so fuckin' white. Uuuuh, no surprise there.

My friend who's half white and half Japanese and Very Patriotic about Japan, found out he's only 10% Japanese and actually 20% Korean, 7% Chinese and 5% Philipino. They literally don't know where the other Asians came from 😅😅
Im half Mexican and half Japanese but we have like no records on our Japanese family, and the Mexican side is super mixed from blonde blue eyes to black curly hair and dark skin/eyes, I'm extremely curious how all of that would break down in my genes 😅
Probably some type of Amerindian tribe from whichever part of Mexico combined with some European more likely than not Spanish usually from Andalucía and if you family came from eastern Mexico it’s likely that there is some African mixed in there from the slave trade and there could also be some Arabic Lebanese from the huge migrant waves in the early 20th century as for the Japanese there’s been small quantities of them entering the country since the 19th century but it’s also difficult to track due to how quick they were absorbed culturally into Mexican culture. In summary this is why we just say we are mestizos

I don’t know about drinking anything though, cause type one is literally just keeping your glucose levels and ketones in check and doing insulin. Well, drinking juice boxes if you’re low is mandatory but yeah, short reply; it was hard at first but it gets easier the more you get the hang of it and a better understanding and schedule.

I wanna do one of these so badly, because I am of Mexican ancestry and our ethnic group is so insanely mixed I have no idea what I am other than Spanish and Indigenous since most of us Mestizo are each to a certain degree.
Both my parents are Mestizos too, but my dads family is noticeably more Indigenous than my mom's.

I have misophonia. It's not just an aversion to chewing sounds, though that's the most common trigger. Essentially everyday normal/little sounds trigger the fight/flight response. It's a neurological disorder.
