As someone who was a long suffering Chicago Cubs fan here in the US and got to experience what happened in 2016 after 118 years of heartbreak, I'm thrilled for City fans and especially Noel. It's such a special moment that you'll never forget.

Some teams have what is to them considered bad spells finishing 10 - 12th in prem. For a yr or 2 and the gates suddenly drop to 32k . From what I've seen it's only lfc and obviously UTD which I get who don't want City to win but I can see them going on and winning a few more UCL now they have first one under there belt.

@Niclyon Generally people give Ederson credit for his distribution. And acknowledge he's a proper modern type of goalkeeper. But some question his shot stopping. Along with belittling his achievements because he doesn't have to deal with the volume of shots. Because of City's quality as a team.

Might interest you to know Manchester City have less net spending than Arsenal over the last 4 years! And that Man City actually had a 30 million dollar surplus in net spending for 2022-23. The truth is all big clubs spend money. City just do so more shrewdly. And develope the players they do sign into much better players.

Inter pressed really well for the first forty-five... but they were never going to score. In the first half, they were all-out playing for penalties.
Then they made their mistake... bringing on Lukaku. From that moment on, Inter had lost. They went from having a man over, to being one man down.
Brawn over brains... was never the way to go in this match-up. That's why Haaland was ineffective... brawn over brains is OK,
only when you're playing below average teams. Haaland and Lukaku are the equivalent tactic of the long ball.

At least there were 2 English clubs that won a trophy this season fairly and squarely, and both had UNITED in their name.
First of all, I will say congrats to City. Despite what we know about them, they still had to deliver on the pitch and I don’t want to be a bitter fan.
However, I am completely emotionless about City, they don’t resonate with me as a football club. They are a team where endless money has been spent for success. Where as Utd for example are a club where money is all important. I have football emotions about Utd, generally negative, but I am interested. I was interested in Ange Postecoglu at spurs being an Aussie, I was pleased for Hammers fans for winning a trophy after 43 years, I was pleased for Wrexham even despite their relative wealth compared to their rivals. City though, every aspect of their success is backed by bottomless amounts of money. Until they answer to the charges laid against them and not stall via their barristers their sporting integrity is zero and their trophy’s will always have an * for me.

On the old fella young fella thing. Lets be clear. At the start of the season in the 3rd division we sounded like united fans to the teams around us. They taugh us a lesson in humility cos at that time City deserved to be where we were. CTID started as a bitter irony and ended as a badge of honour and reminder. City will never be the club for the glory boys, but we are the club for the rest of football. Never expect, just enjoy the ride.
