- Thanks for dropping by the StormRider channel. In this video I take you the reasons my my newly acquired G-Shock GA-2110 is perfect for a specific scenario. The G-Shock GA-2110 and GA 2100 are basically the same awesome Carbon Core watch so the thoughts apply to both models. I like the wear a G-Shock in all situations whether during sport and exercise or on day trips and during smart casual outings. Sometimes I want a low key and comfortable, slimline watch that fits under my shirt cuff easily with no protrusion, I.e. it doesn’t stick out or make the shirt look or feel uncomfortable. The GA-2110 is a perfect watch for this scenario. I compare it to the GMW-B5000 Metal Square, the GWG-1000 Mudmaster, the GG-B100 Mudmaster, the GW-9400 Rangeman and the GPW-2000 Gravitymaster. You see how it sits differently on the wrist compared to these watches. So the GA-2110 isn’t perfect for all situations, but it is perfect to wear with a shirt. I hope you find it useful and interesting. Please like and subscribe, it is much appreciated.
In part two of the video I also introduce another Map Hunt, where I set you a task to answer some clues in the comments. Just a bit of fun for those who are interested in such things.

In the video I may help with the following questions: is my wrist too thin for a gshock? What is the best cheap gshock? Are G Shock too big for a shirt? What G Shock can be worn with a suit? What is the strongest gshock? Is a G Shock Mudmaster too big? Is a GWG-1000 too big?
StormRider is about beings strong, resilient, positive, fit and prepared.
I am passionate about adventure and testing myself - some of my favourite ways to maintain physical strength are kettlebells and carrying heavy stuff long distances, i.e. ‘rucking’ and cycling on Zwift and my Wahoo Kickr. I am also training for triathlon. I use products that can put up with harsh environments such as CASIO G-Shock watches. I enjoy talking about this variety of topics. A little clue to the Easter Egg...think GTA V.
If any of this is of interest to you please subscribe and let me know if you enjoy similar activities in the comments. Cheers...

Have a great weekend guys... And consider giving my Map Hunt a try at 10 minutes into this video. Just a bit of fun :)
Love the yellow CasiOak! Never worn it with a dress shirt, but it's definitely got the slimness to pull it off.
You were one of the people who inspired me to consider the yellow one! Thanks very much for dropping by the channel.
I miss your videos, I know G-Shock have been taking the pi** with all the new releases but hope you come back and add to your collection, you got me into the ga21 series :)
Thanks for the kind words! I’ll be back soon don’t worry 🥂
Thanks, awesome to see the comparison
You are welcome man. Hopefully you see how much more slimline the GA-2100 /2110 is to the bigger field watches.
Great video showing the versatility of the G Shocks, finally got my stealth black GA 2100 and couldn't be happier without it, and got an unusual amount of compliments already.
My guess for the map hunt:
It's the Bluebird
Bonus: Reformer's Tree
Man! How on earth did you get that so fast! Unbelievable. You are formally going on the StormRider Honours List. I tip my cap to you. Thanks for taking the effort :)
And I know exactly what you mean about the blackout GA-2100 and the compliments it gets. I think most people haven't seen anything quite like it and dont know if it cost £100 or £4,000. It's a classic man. Glad you enjoy it so much.
I own the same yellow ga2100 as my first gschock in my adulthood and I super duper love it!
It's a very special watch man. I love it too. Congrats and thanks for the comment
5:35 This will fit well under the Gandalf's robe sleeves :D
I always ware my watches under the sleeve (in the summer - no sleeves at all, of course). Consciously or unconsciously, I choose my watches to fit under the sleeve of a shirt or a sweater. Currently, my most fat monkey is DW-5900, and the most slim one - GA-2100-all-black/stealth model -- I am more into darkest colors/subtle appearance for watches and clothes. I have only one complain about GA-2100: because the glass does not go under the rubber bezel (as with the other G and some no-G casios) in the groove between the crystal and the rubber bezel accumulates dust and fine particles which tend to go under the bezel (because it is rather flexible) when I try to clean/brush them. Anyway, I plan to mode the watch with some metal in the near future, so the issue will be solved probably.
Thank you for the original theme & video! For me, It is always nice to have something fresh to watch & comment on.
Many thanks for the kind words. Interesting point about the groove around the crystal, I too have noticed fine particles accumulating. I think the answer is a blast of air perhaps. I actually swim with mine quite regularly so that gives them a good clean out. Interesting to hear if your proposed method eradicates it or not. Cheers!
Really would love to get my hands on that watch!
It's a great piece Rob and will last forever. The cost is really fair considering it's so versatile and strong. Thanks for the comment!
Hahahah I went to an Italian with the GF last night wearing a black light knit jumper and my GWG-1000 1a3 with a black band. It looked very cool and smart casual. It’s a big watch as your fully aware of storm , but it looked great with black and then the all black watch. Keep up the great work your class buddy,
The training is going so well, feeling great looking slimmer and more muscular... it’s made me happy and I’m feeling it. Love your channel mate
Kev is great to hear from you man. The black version of the GWG-1000 is definitely more suited to smart casual :) The desert camo is pretty intense. Lol. Glad you are well brother.
@@stormrider1119 yes but the desert cammo is one of the most sort after and quadrupled in price. I can’t stop wearing my watch storm ... when the zombie apocalypse kicks off I need it on my wrist ready brother 😂
@@kevwilliams1 yes the desert camo is very rare and price is crazy these days. Man bring on the zombie apocalypse, we will be fine lol!
@@stormrider1119 with that in mind... can you answer this question which I have actually thought .....
If there is an apocalyptic event of some sort, would the atomic time calibration still function from the atomic transmitters? I’ve thought about this and I really don’t know I’f the signal would keep continuing to be sent out . Can I have your view on this subject pls storm. Thanks
@@kevwilliams1 damn good question! So the signals are sent by the specific transmitters in various locations globally I covered in a previous video. So if they were impacted it would be effected, however if they were OK I could only assume they would keep signaling to the watch but whether or not other factors would effect it Im really not sure. Definitely not an expert on this subject. I'll probably be thinking about this for a while though lol
There are some protreks that are good for office wear. Ive got a PRG-600-1 that will take take other bands without an adapter and I've worn it to the office quit a bit on a leather band. Not quite as slim as a square but pretty darn close.
I just had a look at the PRG 600, that's a nice watch man and agree with the right strap suits a smarter look. Looks like a very capable watch also.
Great vid. Love to get my hands on this yellow baby. I bought the grey and skeleton casioaks first because they are very hard to find.
They grey is my favorite these days - great choice. It's never off my wrist. Yellow is very cool too.
@@stormrider1119 I just bought the grey yesterday and I haven't worn it yet.
Well... 3 mins in to the video and I’ve finally given in and ordered the Yellow model... and the all black one as well 🤣
Haha! I pushed you over the edge :) you'll love them both man... Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 can’t wait for them to turn up... that takes the total I have now to 4... I’m guessing by the end of the year there will be more to sit along side of them.
Have a great weekend 😁
Great ! I also want to add it to my collection !
Class things up even a little more by putting it in mute mode, not hearing the beeps doesn't draw as much attention when cycling through the modes and its especially perfect for a G that's such a "crazy" colour.
Haha. Not a bad shout at all :) it's got enough of a presence as it is! Thanks for dropping by the channel...
@@stormrider1119 no prob I've been loving all your latest uploads especially the solar stress test upload simply amazing.. Sorry always procrastinate commenting then i forget altogether. Now time to put on my 2100 your videos always put me in the mood👍👍⌚
@@jsijanta great stuff, I'm just about to upload a new video which you may enjoy, it's very GA-2100 / GA-2110 heavy ;)
@@stormrider1119 nice cant wait, i hope you talk about the new GMA-S2100 eventually though. Would like to hear your thoughts!
I bought a GA-2100 to wear it at work. The place where I work has a policy about what attire to wear and it is formal. Shirt, tie, trousers, shoes. GA-2100 fits perfectly with it. Not to mention the comfort.
Yep, the GA-2100 is perfect to match that style and environment. Thanks so much for dropping by the channel and commenting my friend.
@@stormrider1119 No problem my friend,
I also pulled the trigger on that Carbon Fiber Gravitymaster. Ordered it form Japan. It is a present from my wife for my birthday.
It is simply fantastic :D
@@tariksefic5628 oh amazing! Excellent choice, have you recieved it yet?
@@stormrider1119 Yes, it was shipped through DHL express. It arrived from Japan in 6 days. It hasn't left my wrist for 2 days now.
@@tariksefic5628 great stuff. There is a lot to learn about that watch, a nice way to pass the time. Enjoy!

Another useful & informative Gshock video from Mr Stormrider. Coincidentally I was looking at a few of these models yesterday in the window of (recently reopened) FH Hinds - it was the first time I'd seen this watch, other than videos. I think they wanted £99 for the black with white hands - excuse my ramblings - It's a tempting looking model - The square looks v.elegant. This video has certainly got me thinking about another Gshock, somewhere down the line .....
No rambling at all good sir, great to hear your update. I think if you have an outdoor G-Shock like the Mudmaster, Rangeman or Mudman and love it, then a GA-2100 or GA-2110 or metal square compliments it very well for less demanding environments and outings. Let me know how your ponderings develop... And thanks a lot for dropping a note here. :)
@@stormrider1119 thanks for reply. I've a question. What happened with your Tag? Do you still own it? Does it get any wrist time?
I do still have the Tag Carrera. Honestly zero wrist time these days. I need to send it for servicing as it's losing time, but honestly when I have the G-Shocks I just have no incentive to do so. Do you own one also?
@@stormrider1119 thanks for the info - no I've never owned a Tag - perhaps you should send it in for service. I know it's a nuisance. I used to have an '77 Air King - but for the last (nearly 6yrs), have used Gshock for the majority of time.
To wear shirts I use a Citizen Stiletto, 5 mm thickness, for everyday usage I use bulky G Shocks
after getting the full black and the silver metal I just can't bring myself to buy another one, as much as i'm wanting to just get another just for the sake of it. just gonna wait for the gold version.
They are very ‘one more’ ish. I’m so tempted by the green face metallic. It’s a stunner.
EASILY the most comfortable and practical of all G-Shock's is the GW-B5600 model.
It's an absolutely perfect G-Shock, if there ever was one.
Yes it's a classic Dan. It's understated yet highly capable, I'm a massive fan of it too. Thanks for dropping by the channel :)
It's a beautiful g-shock, but to do something more than read time on hand is too difficult. Buttons are too stiff and display is so small. For a durable fashion watch is great, but that's it, besides fashion and durable usually do not walk together.
Thanks for your comment Alexandre. It's definitely not as capable as some of the other watches compared in the video I agree. It just works well in this scenario for smart casual. :)
@@stormrider1119 yes, I agree! For this purpose it's a great watch!
Ordered one. 6th Octagonal casio. RIP wallet.
Haha. Hope you enjoy it Stanley
I like these watches but the blacked out displays (which I loathe) and 3 year battery life are a hard pass. Having to watches that don't have 5 year batteries or solar nowadays is something I won't support. Its like buying a new watch with only 50m of water resistance. Sorry its 2020. If a 50 dollar watch can have 100m wr your 300 dollar micro brand can have it to.
Let's hope one day a solar GA-2100 emerges. That would be superb...
Not perfect in ANY way
It's all opinions Mike. In my opinion it's works perfectly for a smart casual look, and it sounds like you disagree which I totally respect. Thanks for the comment man, maybe there are some things I say that you will agree with. Cheers! :)
If anything with that shirt it needs the triple black. But as a size comparison he’s correct.
Lol yes the colour clash isn't for everyone. I didn't think I'd ever own a yellow watch, let alone wear it so much :) Cheers!
You are absolutely correct to each his own I probably should have worded my comment more diplomatically Great day all
@@stormrider1119 I had my first yellow g shock delivered this week, older model. Was a bit of an impulse buy, but is great as a daily do all. When not babying the rest of the family 😂. Hope you are both having a fantastic Saturday guys.
