  • Can't believe you guys are still watching! What a stunning place to prepare for our final passage back to NZ. We try to get our heads around the weather for what is renown as a pretty challenging piece of water while spending our last few days exploring paradise. Thanks for tuning in.

    This series has been so well done in every way. Similar to any good story, I hate to see it end. Hoping for a sequel.

    Hello guys, we have got totally sucked into your story. We have two girls, 3 and 5, and we have binge-watched the Carabian onwards.
    We took them through the French canals from Falmouth to the Med over 3 months when Betsy was 3 months, and Bonnie 2 years, now starting to think about the next adventure when they are a bit older and UK to NZ is top of the list.

    What a brilliant couple and channel. I've enjoyed all from the beginning. Such a mixture of emotions, feeling my selfish desire for more of the fantastic entertainment the two of you have brought into my life, doing battle with the great relief that you've made it home and done so safely. If you do wind up doing another CZcams series, how will we know? Cheers to you both and thank you!

    I just found my type of people. No daily uploads, no shine or glamour. Just as it is. From all i've seen - I bet you're the happiest. It's your journey - not ours. You did smart, that's objective. Good, would be subjective. Enjoy it! Most inspiring couple i've seen so far - after scrolling irrational long through boatlife videos. Thanks for those little bits and pieces I learned a lot from

    Great episode. You could feel and hear the emotion of nearing the end of an incredible journey mixed with the challenge of the final passage -- with a dash of almost being home. So glad I found this channel. Much needed inspiration in these times.

    We are graybeard sailors on Jersey, Channel Islands, sailing mainly France, Bay of Biscay down to Spain & Portugal. You guys have become such a part of our sailing life even though you are thousands of miles away. We are really going to miss your videos, they have all been, without a single exception, bloody brilliant. When you post your last Bachus video it will be a very sad day indeed.

    My wife and I started watching about a month ago, although we didn't start at the beginning!! After watching your Atlantic crossing and some of the Caribbean, we got hooked and have now gone back to the start and will work our way through. Thanks for making our Canadian winter a little brighter during this crazy pandemic!

    I think I am having the same feelings as you two are. I feel like once you get home we will lose touch and that makes me very sad. Not how I wanted to feel at Christmas. Thanks so much to the both of you for helping to make this crappy 2020 a little more bearable. I am putting out best wishes for a safe passage on your final leg. I imagine it is already over and you are safe at home at last.
    Peace to you both.

    Of course we are still watching! I started watching to see how a newer production boat would handle a trip like this. I am in the learning stage, but the wife and I plan to retire on a boat, and head to the Caribbean. I think I know the answer, but what are your thoughts on the boat now that the trip is done? Positives/negatives?

    you didn't seam to worry about fees whats your budget gross to make the trip or is it the Ufund me channel?

    • @sailingbacchushome944
      @sailingbacchushome944  Před 3 lety

      Budgeting for this type of trip is a massive topic so without going into too much detail we lived off our savings and budgeted 1500 GBP ($2000 USD) per month for all our living expenses. We don't have a Ufund me channel but we get a little but of income through Patreon and CZcams which we put towards epic activities like snorkeling with Humpback Whales and going on a homestay Marquesan experience.
