One thing that has always impressed me with Matt Damon is the fact the he has never been afraid to do a random cameo in any type of movie. Interstellar was my favorite.

Oh man, I forgot to mention his countless cameos in my comment before 🤣🤣🤣
Damon is definitely the king of cameos, his filmography has a smattering of them including his entire 2018 roles consisting entirely of cameo appearances (including one in a deleted scene)!! He and the late Stan Lee are probably the two highest grossing actors from cameos alone!
Edit: I wouldn’t consider his role in Interstellar a cameo given he had more than one scene and had a significant role with his character and the other characters in the film.

@andrewburgemeister6684 he is definitely one of a kind, I agree he was an intergral part of that movie, it's insane how he was completely kept out of the marketing for that movie, when I saw him on screen it was insane. Nowadays to something like that a secret is impossible.

@@chesareroach even back then it was impressive his involvement was kept under wraps, social media was definitely around back then with everyone wanting a scoop. I imagine it would have involved a lot of NDA’s in his contract and with other participants working on the film to keep his role quiet.

I love both of these guys so much. Both have had ups and downs but overall they're some of my favorites! I think I like Affleck's filmography just a tiny bit more, but Damon's is insane as well. They have both been in some of my absolute favorite movies.

    Both are great actors, IMO.

“Does Matt Damon make movies about teenagers in the Midwest?” Well… Scotty doesn’t know 😂 Does EuroTrip count?

Matt and Ben kicked off big careers for themselves and their friendship solidified with Good Will Hunting, they’re among the greatest of Boston Boys like you guys are!!
Matt I definitely feel had a great run following up with Saving Private Ryan and The Talented Mr Ripley (1997-99 was a phenomenal run for him) and then in the 2000’s cemented himself as a box office leading man with the Ocean’s and Jason Bourne franchises along with great roles such as in The Departed, True Grit, The Martian and Ford v Ferrari, whereas Ben’s early career was up and down with a few hits but also a few duds before he found his niche in the director’s and producer’s chairs. I think their good with their specific niches and what they do best, Matt’s still had a successful career as a writer and producer to this day but it’s sorta wild his never had a shot in the director’s chair which surely would have been a given by this point.
So I think they’re both good with their specific skills in filmmaking!!
I’d be interested in your thoughts assessing Ben and Casey in which Affleck brother is better, I think like I said before Ben’s the better director and producer while Casey’s the better actor.

Definitely need to do a Ben v Casey analysis next!!
Casey definitely comes out on top with acting but Ben definitely the best in directing/producing.

Who would ever expect that the guy who played the goofy friend in Good Will Hunting and cameos in the first 2 American Pie movies would end up the most gifted actor out of the 3? Casey Affleck blows both of them away in acting. I put Matt above Ben, but I think Ben deserves more credit as an actor. He was great in Gone Girl and he's a damn good director.

I love how you guys from Boston say Matt. Instead of M-a-tt it’s Me-att 🥲
I’m team Me-att for this one! He’s definitely the better Actor, Good Will Hunting was definitely Me-att’s film over Bens. I’d watch a film purely for Matt being in it but I wouldn’t for Ben. However I would watch a film just because Ben has directed it…
Oh and the lack of discussion on “Ford v Ferrari” UNSUBSCRIBED!
