“Died in her sleep at the age of 104” what more could you ask for! God bless her. 😊
Amén! Old and in your sleep...... It's the way God wants it ❤
Like Kenny Rogers said in his song "The best we can hope for is to die in your sleep." Yes, and may all those who are that fortunate RIP!
Yes. That’s how I hope I go too. I’m 46 so my guess is I’ll have another 35,maybe 40 years or more.
You never know. My Grandmom was 94 in February and still alive and kicking. Strong woman. 2 years ago my Aunt, her daughter passed at 67 from colorectal cancer after surviving breast cancer before that. We just never know.
Miss John Denver. He did an intimate show at a winery in Oregon right before he left us.
Ohh… I don’t know… how about asking to not die at all.
Rudolph Isley 🙏 THIS OLD HEART OF MINE (1966) was and is a great song. The 70's era songs of the Isleys were iconic. Sad to hear of his passing.
_This Old Heart of Mine_ is one of my all-time favorite songs; it came out the year before I was born. 💖🙏🏻
Still love and miss two of my favorites: Angela Lansbury and John Denver. They will be forever missed. May all who passed rest in eternal glory....
I grew up watching Buck Trent playing banjo and dueling banjos with Roy Clark. RIP
Good memories watching HeeHaw with my Mom and Dad. Dueling Banjos my favorite.
RIP Rudolph "Rudy" Isley 🙏🏾 🙏🏾 🙏🏾
Thank you. My greatest respect for D. Hoffner. 104 years old. I read a news report about her life. Talking about living your life to the fullest. Seems she did. No sadness here. She seemed to have given it all she had, in years and in activities. And to move on to the next phase of existence while sleeping. What better way to go? She’s at rest now and may she rest in peace.💕💐
Beautifully said 🙏🏼
Ms. Hoffman 104 yr old skydiver, 102 yr old Tulsa survivor & WW2 Veteran Mr. Van Ellis, 96 yr old Ms. Phyllis Coats superman, and 84 yr old Mr. Rudy Isley thank you All & I tip my hat off to you All. I found all of you to be unique in your skills, talents, and courage. God granted you All long life for a reason. Mr. Van Ellis you endured/survived such evil and probably lived longer than most of them that did such evil to the people of Tulsa, that was only trying to make a living for themselves. Thank you Sir for your service to our country, you were a True American Patriot and you could of been in the same company as my father, who knows ?
Mr. Redd Foxx thank you Sir for all the laughs, I'm still laughing at your jokes.
Mr.Dick Gregory thank you Sir for the laughs and your commitment for equality. I loved reading your book.
Mr. John Lennon, it seems like it was yesterday that you left, I remember exactly what I was doing when I heard the terrible news, could not believe it, I thought it was a mistake. Thank you Sir for all the great hits.
💯
Sky diving at 104? That’s a superstar
@@PMSPauline
I believe Ms. Hoffman was a superstar, daring, not afraid to explore, a true inspiration.
Phillis Coats is by far the best Louise Lane
Jan Hooks went to my high school she was so nice to everyone, so sad that she passed so young.
Awe RIP Ellis only 2 survivors left from the Black Wallstreet massacre. Even after that he served in the war. ❤
Growing up watching the reruns of the original Superman I remember her. Beautiful, and a great classic actress.
I am sad to read of the passing of Phyllis Coates, the original LOIS LANE on the SUPERMAN TV show. I got to meet her and get a hug with her in the late 1970's in Carmel Valley, California. She was still so pretty and a very gracious lady ... we talked about that legendary gray suit that she (apparently) wore in every single episode of the series, and laughed about that single recorded "horrific scream" that they used every time she was in danger. RIP to a wonderful lady ...
She & her replacement, Noel Neill on Superman; were in Invasion USA (1952) although they didn’t share any scenes together.
It was a Superman heavy episode this one, Lois Lane, Superman and one of the comic book creators.
In black and white even a green suit looks grey.
H&I is running tribute episodes of Superman this weekend for Phyllis. What a stunningly beautiful woman, with a solid acting style. After I watched this video, I immediately looked for one of her old movies, and watched Marshal of Cedar Rock.
Saw her on an episode of Gunsmoke the other night, a very natural actress. RIP
Im going to be teary eyed when Suzanne Sommers appears in this weeks video. She was still so young! Died today and she was looking forward to celebrating her birthday which is tomorrow.
RIP
Man, hate hearing Buck Trent passed. I see the younger version of him on Porter Wagoner Show reruns on RFD-TV.
Awe I just seen Dorothy's interview and pictures from her skydive a few days back. She was a great woman. ❤
I saw that too.
Such a High Flying Dynamo(💖)☺
I'm happy that she got to do ehat she loved most.
As one with bad allergies I never take life for granted. Michael cooking reminded me of my family. I was lucky enough to eat at his wonderful Italian restaurant. 😢
I was shocked and saddened that Chef Michael Chiarello passed away because of an allergic reaction/anaphylaxis, I have had four episodes of anaphylaxis myself and it’s a very weird feeling that one could die from anaphylaxis when you don’t actually feel ill, you just can’t
breathe. My worst episode happened in Carlsbad, Ca. when I arrived at the hospital and given an injection that instantly and completely closed my throat.
But I obviously survived. Something weird about my episodes is that they were all caused by food that I had eaten my whole life with no problems. I did have warnings though, starting with hives, then itching in my throat, and difficulty breathing. I wonder what symptoms Michael had, and if the allergic reaction was to food. Guess we will never know, but this makes me sad. Godspeed Michael.
Do you carry one of those EpiPen's? If you suffer from acute allergic reactions it might prove to be a life saver.
They knew that one day he would clear himself so they simply got rid of him!
@@kingcosworth2643I don’t, but that’s a great idea. I’ll be seeing my doctor later this month and see about getting one. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@JR-ez3zdget a grip.
Looked it up, and so far they don't know what his reaction was a reaction to. He had no known existing allergies and the doctors have yet to be able to determine the cause of this one, although of course it's only been 5 days.
The mention of Christopher Reeve brought back a memory of what has to be one of the most impressive and iconic scenes in any superhero movie - the first public appearance of Superman as he catches Lois Lane AND a helicopter as they fell. That scene STILL gives me chills.
I remember watching Michael on the food network,he was always smiling and having fun making his dishes. May they all RIP 😪💔🙏
Y'all are good! I had just read about Isley and you already have him on your video. Well done.
Luke Perry also played a Reverend in Oz,HBOs prison drama.
As I read this tonight,Piper Laurie has passed away at the age of 91.
One of my favorite stories from Dick Gregory was about a time at a diner, he ordered chicken. A group of men came over to his table when the chicken arrived, and told him they were going to do to him, whatever he did to the chicken. So, he bent down and kissed it.
Love that because he was a comedian, it's immaterial whether this ever really happened. It may well have, of course, but since we expect comedians to mix fact and fiction, it isn't undermined if it didn't.
I loved watching Micheal Chiarello on the food network. 🙏💔 God bless all of these wonderful people.
Buck Trent was a wonderful musician.
Thank you for posting these. They're just announcing (late) that Mark Goddard (Major Don West from "Lost in Space") passed away on October 10. 😞
RIP to all.🙏
Johnny Olsen from The Price is Right died Oct 12 1985.
Redd Foxx was Born on December 5th. Rest in Heaven to all have passed Amen. Thank you. Thank you for Sharing.
Redd Foxx was born on December 9. Look it up.
Condolences to the families of those who passed away recently. So many people who have died in the past, we miss watching them in movies or tv series. ❤
And to all those in Israel at the hands of Hamas!!
@@lauramalizia9636 also I forgot to all the innocent lives taken because of wars in Israel and Ukraine ….May they RIP. So tragic 💔
you guys forgot Mark Goddard of "Lost In Space" fame.... who passed on 10/10/23 also Burt Young from "Rocky" and Herschel Savage he was a very well known adult film star with over 1000 films to his credit both on 10/08/23
I loved that show as a kid
☹💔😔
Noooo! Mark Goddard passed away? I had a crush on him. RIP!😢
RIP Patricia Janeckowa - 25 year old opera singer. I wish she'd been included.
I didn't know any of the people who passed this week.
Lots of good people gone in the anniversary segment. John Denver was always my favorite singer.
Great singer, not much of a pilot.
Thanks again for sharing
It's interesting to note that The Isley Brothers and The Beatles each sang their version of, "Twist And Shout" in the 1960s only a few years apart. Even though Rudolph Isley sang backup and John Lennon lead on the same song, they are both mentioned here on Legacy. RIP to both men.
Thankful for this channel and your voice 🙏🏻♥️
A lot of filmakers left us this week. That industry was adamant about taking the "safe and effective."
All in their 60's. Well, most.
Dorothy Hoffner is with the angels now....flying higher than any parachute would take her.
God Bless you Dorothy 😇🙏🕊
Jan Hooks also played Jean Smarts sister Carlene in Designing Women.
May they all rest in peace.
Y'all forgot to Mention former Dallas Cowboy Walt Garrison.
They missed Jim Tweto of ‘Flying Wild Alaska’ fame.
I appreciate this channel so much, thank you.
Watching this always makes me marvel that my mother is somehow still alive-she had polio as a child; and then later rheumatic fever, which is what derailed her ballet career, forcing her to drop out of the San Francisco School of Ballet, which generally led to a career with the San Francisco Ballet. Also, she smoked for 40 years, and has been put into a forced coma a couple of times so they could intubate her and let her lungs heal. She’s even more obese than I am, and she turned 86 this past June. I am the only person in my family (I have four siblings) who has never ever smoked, so I can only assume I’ll live to be 111.

I am seriously impressed! Good on her.
My deepest condolences to all the families may God continue to bless all and comfort all in there grief 😢😢its a shame the news doesn't inform us all the hero who passed 😢 💔💔💔
😇 🙏 Yes ,and I pray that God protects their families from the greedy evil 😈 I.R.S Tax_Man !......
I remember the Isley Brothers songs and I also remember Phyllis Coates. I remember as a very young child watching Superman with my brother and seeing her and George Reeves too. I also remember all of those who passed all these years. May the spirits be kind to those they follow up to the heavens.❤
I forgot Jan Hooks was dead. I still remember the day John Denver died. Redd Foxx is still my favorite comedian.
May they RIP. Thank you for your beautiful tributes & half-staff memorials. God Bless You & stay safe.
Rest in Heaven to All. You will be sorely missed. 🕊️
Just heard on the radio. Suzanne Somers died this morning at age 76. Today is the eve of her 77th birthday.
I just love her voice! She is so respectful
RIP to them all 😢❤
Redd Foxx was on The Royal Family, and The Redd Foxx Show, and Sanford.
Redd Foxx had a real-life fatal heart attack on the set of The Royal Family.
It's going to suck seeing Suzanne Somers and Piper Laurie in next week's video.
RIP Shawna, and all the others.
I don't think there's any founding members of the Isley Brothers left. Great music of the Era.
Ron Isley is still alive.
@@bocoxgurl I did know they added other family members at times so I wasn't sure
@@bocoxgurland still performing.
Brothers who passed are now OKelly , Marvin, and Rudolph Isley. Ronald and Ernie are the only two brothers who are still alive. Chris Jasper is a member of the Isley Brothers group and his sister was married to Rudolph Isley, which makes him a “ brother in law “ ! Chris Jasper played the keyboards and was a contributing writer/ songwriter, composer and producer with the Isley Brothers and he’s a artist in his own right!
I was wondering if Cal would make the video or not. RIP Cal Wilson, you were a bright star that left us too soon ❤
I think you can recommend people to them. Sadly, I don’t know how.
Thank You for Sharing ❤🕊️
Wow Huges Van Ellis! How amazing you were!
Too many young people passing (my age group); 50 to 70. 😢
Omg RIP Keith giffen! I enjoyed your addition to the lobo series. The “Main Man” im sure gives you the nod. 👍🏾👊🏾, RIP Hughes Van Ellis and Ellsworth Johnson. Thank you for your service. Rest easy
I saw Shawna Trpcic's name in Ahsoka the other day, so it sounded familiar when I saw it here. I had no idea she'd done so much that I have seen. She did great work. i was also a big fan of Keith Giffen, tho I didn't know that either. Life is so strange.
Rest in peace 🎈
People not living , they just dying , it's truly so sad 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 🙏💔
Redd Foxx was a true gentleman. He embodied what a real man should be… God bless you, Mr. Foxx…🙏🏻
🎉😮
Redd Foxx is my favorite person of all time & Sanford and Son is my favorite sitcom of all time, I have all five seasons RIP to him & all!😥
Just lost Mark Goddard who played Major West on Lost In Space.
To all who passed away R.I.P my prayers and thoughts go out to them and their families ❤❤ sadly missed but never forgotten xx 🌹🌹
Best recipe book ever Chef Chiarello; Casual Cooking! 😢
Rest in Peace, to everyone mentioned here. May God bless you all.🕊🕊
Praying for Israel!
Ellsworth Johnson, extraordinary soldier, we salute you.
Very Nice Music for this Video !!!!!!!
You know old eras are gone when peeps like the original Lois Lane are dead. RIP Peeps.
Jan Hooks…imo, the funniest female actor on SNL.
So sad about Rudolph Isley a big name in the music world and a member of a rock and roll Hall of Fame band
Rip to everyone so very sad😥 My. Condolences to their families and friends💔
Oh, no. That group of people represent a sizeable chunk of my adolescence and early adulthood. Oh, that just sucks.
I grew up with comic books and I loved The Adventures of Superman so I knew Phyllis Coates
I used to watch Anthony Hickox movies as a late teen going into my 20s.
And Keith Giffen. His brilliant and hilarious work in the 80s got me through a rough time.
Rest in Peace.
Thanks for covering the death of Ted Schwinden. Our governors used to be someone to be proud of.
John Lennon,Still missed 🇬🇧
Always will be!!!
My favorite Beatle!!💔
John Lennon died Dec 8 1980
@@MrRthorson Yep,
John Lennon and his youngest son, Sean, shared the same birthday, October 9.
God Bless Mr. Andy Lewis. Thank you for your service to our nation. Please rest in peace, your duty is done. 🇺🇸🙏
Jan Hooks is the woman that Pee Wee Herman asked if the Alamo had a basement. I remember this day in 1997 driving to work and hearing Rocky Mountain High on the radio in the morning. That evening Mr Denver went Rocky Mountain High forever
How sad that Mr. Van Ellis, who was the last survivor of the horrific Tulsa racist massacre, and tried to get reparations for himself and other survivors, died at 102, and still didn’t live long enough to see the reparations for which he fought so long and hard. Like many others here, I was very surprised to hear about the death of chef Michael Chiarello. He was quite a figure on t.v., but disappeared from t.v. after accusations about his behavior came up during the “Me Too” movement. I am from the San Francisco Bay Area, just south of Napa, so he was definitely a “local boy makes good.” I enjoyed watching his shows. May all of the departed rest in peace.
Keith Giffen RIP Legend 🙏
One veteran is being remembered for having his house burned to the ground by the citizens of the country he foolishly served to preserve "freedom" for. Lesson learned
did not know any of this weeks notable deaths except Lois lane
I knew Phyllis Coates who played Lois Lane on the first season of "The Adventures of Superman" before being replaced by Noel Neill. I also knew Keith Geffen as a comic book artist on the "Legion of Super Heroes."
Even if I don't know many of those who died, I still want to know they died peacefully. God bless them all.
RIP angels
So sad yesterday was the anniversary of John Denver death as human being who has autism like he did he truly loved the world and respected all types of people and creatures that most people can’t even do now 😢
never heard of John being autistic
Yeah, I never heard anything about his being autistic.
Isley died from a heart attack; R.I.P.
Please, please, please make sure to include actress Dorothy Stinnette in your tributes next week. She died yesterday (monday, 10.23.23) at the age of 94. She will be missed.
Thanks to that one lady I think if I live to be 104 I will take up skydiving then!
That woman was amazing! God bless her! I'm so glad she passed peacefully. RIP 💖💖💖
RIP Phyllis...she left the Superman show 60 years before her death...
Terence Davies changed storytelling in film!
It wasn't Phyllis Coats' role on Superman that I remember her most for but her appearances on The Untouchables, Mannix, Cannon, and all the other 1960s/early 70s shows. TAO Superman was just a bit before my time, By the time I started watching the show, Noel Neill was the only "Lois Lane" I knew of.
Skydiving at 104 she certainly knew how live life to the fullest,
You missed John Singleton director of "Boyz In Da Hood". He died a few weeks after Luke Perry from a stroke.
No Anthony Hickox!! I didn't know!!! RIP good sir. Waxworks is masterful!
Best known for his signature phrase, "Oh, yeah".
May they all rest in peace
So many people dying too soon. It's so very sad.
R.I.P Cal Wilson
like one of my older brothers he was a smoker lost by brother the same way
@@oldermusiclover he is a she. And was not a smoker.
