    Thanks so much. I'm helping a friend with a funky kitchen and this would have been really at the edges of my diy skills. Now I feel I can say "ok we'll try it!" Thanks thanks!

    are you able to load the dishwasher so close to the think?

    • @MoreBear
      @MoreBear  Před 5 měsíci +1

      yes, absolutely. There is enough room to stand on either side of the dishwasher with the door open. Please like and subscribe. Thanks for watching and the question!

    Hi, how many inches are from the edge of the countertop to the start of the sink? I did this hack but the distance is coming out to about 6.25 inches, worried it’s not ergonomically friendly

    • @MoreBear
      @MoreBear  Před 23 dny

      My dimension is 5&1/2". My wife is 5'-2" and has no issue using the sink, which is very deep. Please like and subscribe as it really helps me as a creator. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the great video! We're currently renovating using this same approach with the Sektion Ikea corner cabinets, and I'd like to know if you think we can squeeze in a 32" sink in vs. a 31". I saw the note on your overall sink size being 31" x 18" x 9" deep, but the fireclay one we're looking at is 31-7/8 x 18-7/8" x 10" deep. Thanks again!

    • @MoreBear
      @MoreBear  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Honestly, probably will. Just make a template of your sink and play around with it in the corner cabinet. You will need to trim some space on the cabinet sides, but I think it will work. Please like and subscribe. Thanks for watching and the question!

    • @brianhull9735
      @brianhull9735 Před 2 měsíci

      @@MoreBear Thanks so much for the reply. We made a template as you suggested, and yep, the only way it would fit is if we cut into the sides. However, it would have created too much of a distance from the front of the countertop to the inside edge of the sink, requiring us to bend over, and our backs would have paid the price, so we returned the 32" for a 27". Though it's not as large of a sink as we wanted, it will be more ergonomic once installed. Thanks again. You're a wizard at what you do. Cheers!

    Did you have to get that countertop custom-made or were you able to use IKEA countertops, too?

    • @MoreBear
      @MoreBear  Před 7 měsíci +3

      That's a great question and I should have mentioned this ins the video. Ikea quoted us a countertop that included the corner sink! The countertop you see is custom made, which is the case with all natural stone and quartz countertops. Thanks for the question and for watching!

    hi, for the filler pieces for the 18" door. in order to center the door i would use 4 filler pieces in total correct (2 pieces on each side)? how thick are the filler pieces and would having 4 filler pieces impact the usability of the door or the hinge? thanks

    • @MoreBear
      @MoreBear  Před měsícem

      Yes, that is correct. The filler pieces are 5/8" thick each. Using 2 filler pieces would not impact the hinge (hinges are designed to work down to 0 clearance). Please like and subscribe as it really helps me as a content creator. Thanks for the question and for watching!

      So having 2 filler pieces on the hinge side and 2 filler pieces on the opposite side would not impair the hinge or door closing right? Also which hinge did you use? Thank you!

    I was thinking about in installing farmhouse under mount sink so I don't have to attach that triangle? Do you think it would be a good idea?

    • @MoreBear
      @MoreBear  Před 6 měsíci

      The farmhouse sink would need to be small enough to get into that space. You would still need the triangular filler piece to fill in that open area. Let me know how it goes. Please hit that subscribe button. Thanks for watching and the kind words!

      I am not sponsored by them, but we bought our countertop from Stonex Granite and Quartz, in Woodstock, Ontario Canada. Thank you for the question and for watching!
