They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike orphans, they don't need money, education, or childcare; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. It's almost as if, by being born, they have died to you. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus but actually dislike people who breathe.

I'll enlighten you. Nothing was struck down. The Howell Code is the foundation of state laws in Arizona, written in 1864 when Arizona was a territory. When Arizona became a state, they simply adopted the existing territorial laws. The Howell Code included provisions concerning abortion. The Arizona state legislature has never passed any other bill in the 150+ years since that has addressed abortion, which means the Howell Code is the most recent law concerning abortion, and therefore, still the law. The Arizona supreme court ruled on this, which is the correct legal ruling. It is up to the Arizona legislature to pass a newer bill to address the issue, but they have never bothered. The argument is "that law is old so we shouldn't follow it because we don't like it", which is nonsense. It's up to the legislature to pass a newer law, but this guy would rather shift blame.

Women in AZ will let the GQP know exactly how they feel in November when they approve the state women's choice referendum and vote in a majority of state and federal political leaders who are pro-choice.
Love those old "wild west" laws, do you? Maybe it's time to start reinstating the old gun laws in towns throughout the West from the 1800's. Like in Witchita, where the law was "Leave Your Revolvers At Police Headquarters, and Get a Check."
Trump had the correct stance on this. Each state should hash it out individually once and for all. Eventually you will find that majority of States will be Pro-Choice in the end anyways. Future presidential candidates will also no longer be able to use this as a talking point to pander for votes from voters that soley vote on this issue which is a very good thing.
At least people will be more responsible until this gets hashed out. Maybe people will then continue to be more responsible after abortion is made legal again in AZ.

Men want to get involved in womens' heathcare, then they also need to pay the price. Increase the percentage of child support for fathers. The child deserves to live to the SAME standard as its father. If the mother is less than 25 years old, the father should pay 100% of the child rearing costs. If the mother is less than 20 years old, the father should pay alimony for as long as the mother is unable to work following pregnancy/birth and is able to complete education. Fathers are responsible too...women can only get pregnant ONCE in a 9-month period, but a man can impregnate countless girls/women.

Where in the constitution does it say that Abortion is a right. If it was then they would have had to make food a right. It's a slippery slope that's why our founders didn't make it a right. Many states have abortion, it's not gone. As a conservative I don't see unwanted pregnancy as an issue to where we should have abortions. How about practicing abstinence and birth control. When the birth control fails you put the kid up for adoption. While it is difficult to find an exact, accurate number to answer this question, Some sources estimate that there are about 2 million couples currently waiting to adopt in the United States which means there are as many as 36 waiting families for every one child who is placed for adoption.
