I feel so sad and disappointed and afraid. An oldster now, it is so wild to have so quickly moved from an idealistic, adolescent-level idealist thinking we would inevitably achieve something similar to a Star Trek Utopia, only to be faced with the very real possibility of actual extinction. And most definitely social collapse-- "faster than expected". I used to assume I'd die from cancer, heart disease, or just wearing out. Now I've added starvation, heatstroke, and marauding dystopian gangs to the list of possibilities. I blame the Oligarchs of the Military-Industrial Complex for this and the politicians who serve their needs rather than those of regular working folk.

Well as someone who is just about to turn 30 let me tell you that I understand the anxiety and the disappointment also, we have to remember that there are people resisting everywhere even in Israel. You have tens of thousands of protesters trying to promote a ceasefire. You have a youth in America that is out in the streets every single day protesting and demanding for something new. You have the largest wave of unionization America has seen since the 1920s. We have a wave of new politicians entering The fray from our generation determined to protect civil rights and climate change policies. Things are not changing as fast as they can and things are regressing in many ways. But there is still hope there is always hope and that only dies when we do or when we give up. Don't give up my friend
And our fathers and grandfathers laid the foundations for this in their youth.
We need to accept that we have the world we made and begin to change - firstly our minds.
