Thanks for showing the re-assembly steps rather than being lazy and just saying “follow disassembly steps in reverse order”! Very helpful video.
OUTSTANDING DETAILED VIDEO...THANK YOU SIR
Toyota say to not spin the fan with the compressed air, as that may overspeed the fan. Instead, hold the fan still and then use the compressed air.
Thank you so much for sharing!! You just saved me $100. Toyota Service Department charges $100- $150 to get the fan cleaned. 🙏
excellent video. with very clear instructions
Clearly explained and well done.
Very helpful video. Thank you
Salam aleykoum and thanks from France, good job my brother.
Thanks for that very useful video. I guess you made a good saving by making by yourself.
Good Job
Looks like an all day job !
Do you have to remove the rear seats?
You forgot the vent filter that keeps the dust and dirt from getting back into the fan.
👍
Is it the same for 2016 Prius 4 touring? It looks like inlet duct and vent is below rear passenger seats. Thanks.
If its 30 series then yes.
I have Toyota Prius 2008 and showing red triangle on cluster with code I checked P0AA6. Don’t know the real cause, if it is battery cell, compressor and cooling fan issue. Where about you located. Thanks!
Is it same process for 2015 prius?
Yes
Is that fan for cooling purpose
Yes
what kind of spray are u used ?
Carburettor cleaner
how can you tell if the fan is working or not?
You can test the serviceability with the scanner, if you dont have a scanner, you will see the engine light turn on with the check hybrid system on the dashboard if the fan is not working, because the fan operates with the temperature sensors located in the Hybrid battery.
Dont wait until the check engine light, because then there is already a problem. Do this once every year. If you are used to transporting a furry animal in the car, it is more dense, because it sucks the air from the passenger compartment. It is worth doing, because if the fan does not cool, your hybrid battery will be destroyed and it will be a big expense.
Same for 2012 ..!?
Yes
it's just plastic, can we just use water to clean it?
No, you can't. Water is a bad conductor therefore if you use it for cleaning the Hybrid battery fan and put it back in the car it may cause a short circuit.
@@autovisionservices I was thinking of let it dry in the sun for at least 4 hours until it's completely dry.
