Hi Becket!! I’m so happy that I found you and your channel! I can see how much you love the Lord and you explain things so very well. I can relate to this. I lost my husband to a car accident when I was 26 with 3 children. I loved Jesus and prayed and prayed with my kids but I never read the Bible, I found it hard to grasp and left it at that. Through my grief and shock I started looking for love in all the wrong places. I always was a one man girl, always faithful but now on my own I became promiscuous and tried to fill that spot in my heart but I ALWAYS felt empty the next day. This continued for years until about 6 years ago The Lord got my attention and I started to learn about him, about the Bible and slowly my faith grew and my hunger for more of Christ grew. Praise Jesus. So I am single and made the decision to be celibate and I feel such peace with that. Who knows what God has in store for me but I am happy to live for him. In my teens and twenties I kept looking for a guy who would be interested in a relationship. I found plenty, but they weren't interested in a relationship. So finally I was like, ok, then that's all my life will be, one guy to the next, that was until I got one of those little annoyances that come back every so often. I didn't go out for over six months! And I didn't miss it. The next guy I met, after a friend convinced me to go back out there, actually called me back. We were together for 13 years but it wasn't monogamous by any means. Even though I'm happily a Christian now, I've had two relationships that I didn't really ask for, or go looking for, for that matter. And I can tell you, Christ fulfills. A few moments of pleasure does not. I hope she finds the true joy of Love for the Savior.
In my foolish and rebellious years, I was like yeah why can't I sleep with whoever and however many men I want? Just like men can engage in "casual encounters." Out of all that you said, all of the wisdom in your comments here, I want to focus on your response to the young woman who wrote the article. I love that the love of God is in you and that you’re compassionate towards her. She’s in the grip of Satan who’s trying to kill her or at the very least, destroy her life. Some people might call her names and be hateful toward her. I think it’s important to see her as someone who is so deceived, as we all were when we were outside of Christ, before that shroud was taken from over our eyes. I think it’s very lonely being single, God knew this and created marriage as a gift. Friendships are not the same, even if their Christians. After divorce I chose to seek God and stay in my own lane, happy and content, knowing God will be there for me.

Megan Nolan offers up an extremely juvenile notion about what it is like when a person chooses NOT to engage in frivolous sex.She lacks any understating of what that experience is actually like. She wants to insinuate that being celibate is just white knuckling it, and crying into your pillow every night, Nothing could be further from the truth. I was single with a CAPITAL C for eight yeas before I met my husband. I become a Christian and had become profoundly disenchanted with the weird Kabuki Dance they call "dating" in Los Angeles. I'm not proud to admit it but I had a few one night stands myself. (it usually took me about a week and a half to figure out it was a one night stand) .Talk about exhausting!!!. Nolan attempts to dress her experiences up as some grand exercise in intellectual gymnastics. What she doesn't yet realize is that the day will come when she is not so intrigued by the idea of having frivolous sex.....and why?? Because as she gets older she will realize that the fella she wants to engage in frivolous sex with wants to engage with someone younger then her. This moment is extremely humiliating and painful and is a direct by-product of casual sex that books Sex and the Single Girl and The Feminine Mystique never get around to explaining.

This was a hard video for me, I’ve never lost the longing for a family and partner of my own, I’ve been saved for 25 yrs and now at 51 the dream is definitely over for me. I will never understand that as much as there is a God shaped hole that needs to be filled by Him , he also gave us the desire to have a mate. Once again you break it down in simple terms and Biblically based. We can not hold non-believers to the same standard as we do believers but we can pray they see the light. Out of all that you said, all of the wisdom in your comments here, I want to focus on your response to the young woman who wrote the article.
I love that the love of God is in you and that you’re compassionate towards her.
She’s in the grip of Satan who’s trying to kill her or at the very least, destroy her life.
Some people might call her names and be hateful toward her. I think it’s important to see her as someone who is so deceived, as we all were when we were outside of Christ, before that shroud was taken from over our eyes.
Thank you for your example of Godly love and kindness and compassion towards her, too.
I think it’s very lonely being single, God knew this and created marriage as a gift. Friendships are not the same, even if their Christians. But our society is telling everyone to put career first instead on f family. If we placed family first people would not have to wait so long to have have sex as they could enjoy in marriage .
And if marriage is not God's will for you, you can give it all to God, and He will find for you a way for your love.

I truly pray for Miss Megan; she seems so lost and empty. I hope she finds the only love who can fill that void in heart: Jesus Christ. I was waiting for this topic: casual sex. I'm glad you touched on it. Also, it reminds me of your previous video titled 'Sex and the City', which goes hand-in-hand on this topic. When it comes to casual sex I guess I'm on the complete opposite of the spectrum. I'll be 40 in two weeks and through the grace of God I've never had a sexual experience in my life. [Insert 40 yr old virgin movie reference 😊😇] It's tough! There's a lot of pressure to have sex and women (and men) my age that are virgins are looked as if we're insane or, just broken or, we're missing out on life! Whatever that means...For what it's worth, I thank God for keeping me focused and obedient to His word. I don't know if I'll ever get married but, if I do, I know sex will be worth the wait. I'm worth wait. Again, Thank you, Becket for sharing some of your story before you we're saved. Just looking at you it's like you have this glow. You look so refreshed. Awesome. Tell it like it is! Empty pointless random sex with multiple partners isn't going to fill anyone's cup. I feel like you'd have to be lacking in self respect, or lying to yourself that its adding anything positive to your life. After divorce I chose to seek God and stay in my own lane, happy and content, knowing God will be there for me.

Mr. Cook, I am starting my day here in Oklahoma and just read that amazon has canceled writer Ryan T.Andersons book “When Harry Became Sally.” I’m so concerned for every Christian, every church and organization that’s doing the work of our savior. Praying in faith believing that God will help us get the victory over evil.
Hopefully Mike lindell's upcoming " my store" will be an alternative to Amazon and their agenda and what we can purchase and what we cannot. That agenda has a name that I will not say what it was here but people can do the math. While we're at it please do view Mike Lindell's documentary titled " Absolute Truth" wish CZcams took down. This opinion piece is one of the many reasons I cancelled my subscription to the NYT. Megan Nolan offers up an extremely juvenile notion about what it is like when a person chooses NOT to engage in frivolous sex.She lacks any understating of what that experience is actually like. She wants to insinuate that being celibate is just white knuckling it, and crying into your pillow every night, Nothing could be further from the truth. I was single with a CAPITAL C for eight yeas before I met my husband. I become a Christian and had become profoundly disenchanted with the weird Kabuki Dance they call "dating" in Los Angeles. I'm not proud to admit it but I had a few one night stands myself. (it usually took me about a week and a half to figure out it was a one night stand) .Talk about exhausting!!!. Nolan attempts to dress her experiences up as some grand exercise in intellectual gymnastics. What she doesn't yet realize is that the day will come when she is not so intrigued by the idea of having frivolous sex.....and why?? Because as she gets older she will realize that the fella she wants to engage in frivolous sex with wants to engage with someone younger then her. This moment is extremely humiliating and painful and is a direct by-product of casual sex that books Sex and the Single Girl and The Feminine Mystique never get around to explaining.

This was a hard video for me, I’ve never lost the longing for a family and partner of my own, I’ve been saved for 25 yrs and now at 51 the dream is definitely over for me. I will never understand that as much as there is a God shaped hole that needs to be filled by Him , he also gave us the desire to have a mate. It’s been the saddest part of my walk despite years of asking and prayer , there are no answers .
