My daughter withdrew her two girls from a state selective girls’ high school in the Melbourne suburbs. She did this at cost, as she now sends them to a fee-paying Catholic high school. The decision was made because of the pervasive woke gender reeducation going on, boys attending because they were transitioning and the rainbow flag waving idiocy going on there. She is so very much happier with her decision as time passes.

It's damage control. Notice that the NY Times article isn't in favour of banning transition altogether, these liberals are just backing off and trying to maintain the transitioning industry in the face of a massive backlash in the community now that the information is coming out about what has been going on. This is typical of how these radicals operate - they push the envelope as far as they can, then back off slightly until the fuss dies down, then they push again.
I think it’s part of their feinting legitimacy where they occasionally post truth to hold the mirage of being a real newspaper. They mix in a small amount of truth with lies about so called gender affirming care and defending the idea of a transition itself. They also heavily promote the lies in all other articles.
When I was small, I wanted to be a boy instead of a girl. I wanted to be like my older brother whom I admired. My father understood, and questioned me, “Do you not want to wear lacy dresses any more? Do you not want to wear shiny patent leathers? At Easter, you won’t be able to wear a pretty bonnet….” That did it. This conversation took place in the fifties. I wanted my girl clothes, and hair styles! Daddy breathed a sigh of relief.

The pandemic was so detrimental to our children. I teach HS, and when we got back to school after shutdowns, I had soooo many kids that identified as trans or queer, that were not that way before. In one class about 70% of the students were trans or queer. And they also had so many disorders-self-diagnosed from tik Tok, etc. The scary thing was that they seemed proud of these disorders, like they are so desperate to feel something-special or whatever-they would gladly be diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, dissociative disorders, depression, etc. I just saw this shift of having a mental illness is cool or gives them some sort of victim card they can play. Also, so many more of them were proclaimed socialists and proud of it. It’s a sad effect of where society has gone and what it upholds. It was pretty shocking. There was a marked difference in behavior and rhetoric between pre and post pandemic. I just pray eyes and hearts will be open to how evil and destructive this all is and things will start to turn back around.
That’s so interesting… my friend told me that when his son went back to school (once it was allowed during the pandemic) 4 people in his class “became” trans. He got home crying saying because one of his best friends had been one of them and was now a girl. He was in 6th grade at the time… We live in Canada

I grew up out in the country in a farming community and most of us girls were tomboyish. It was so normalized there - nobody ever accused a girl of being gay or "trans" for dressing or acting a little bit masculine. In fact, being very girly was considered a bit odd.

Many gay and trans people argue with christians that their same sex attraction is part of their intrinsic identity that is immutable just like their race and eye color. When I first brought up my horror and anger towards the mass transgender craze going on in society to my daughter, she was mad at me. Now, a year later, she is agreeing with me that there is something wrong with transgenderism. By the way, I was a "tomboy" as a kid. There was time that being boyish as a girl was ok and you weren't considered gay or pathological. Addendum, Farrah Fawett showed with her great hair in the late 70s and that ended my boyish days...😊
I think I have finally figured it out...after years of living with both gender and same sex issues..first as a gay man and then thinking I am trans.....after recommitting my self to God, have finally realized that I am who God intended me to be and I need to be the best version of how He made me.....

As a retired RN, who worked in pediatrics and school nursing my entire career. it distresses me to see this phenomenon happening to our young people. All children have issues with who they are at one time or other during their growing up years. It is our job as adults, who have managed to navigate all of the pitfalls of growing up' have now dealt our children a grave disservice by encouraging them that they can be anyone they want to be. As medical professionals, it is our job and our responsibility to investigate what is going on in the mind and the life of the child. Biologically our sex is determined at conception, that has not changed nor will it change. The best care that we can give children medically and psychology is to give them the opportunity to reveal what is going on; and then use our adult experience and our expertise to care for the whole person, which it seems is not happening in the current culture.. Regardless of what the final determination of what is going on in the mind of a child our responsibility as adults in the room is to support the children by investigating what's going on in there. It doesn't make sense to automagically assume that when a child says I don't want to be a girl anymore, I don't want to be a boy anymore. there always something going on that has stimulated this,. if we don't investigate and agree with the child out of hand we do them no favors. Politics should have nothing to of with this issue. if the government's handling of of COVID hasn't showed us enough how people can skew the reality when the govt is the one determining medical care t and policy; then how can we protect our children from lobbyists who have deep pockets to push their own agenda? We are all tasked with protecting our children. All of them.
That happens in puberty. We all feel weird. Back in the day, we waited and matured mentally. For girls it is weird. We suddenly get curves and it can feel strange. We didn't change gender.

I love this article, but, sadly, the church doesn't educate young people on how to share the good news of Jesus with others from a young age. I pray that God will protect these young kids from the deceit of the devil and addiction, as the devil attacks the mind first. We must remember that the first sin was caused by deception when Satan asked Eve if God really told them not to eat the fruit from the tree in Genesis 3:1. If the enemy can influence our mind, then he can control our entire body. Therefore, it's important to teach our children to meditate on God's words as stated in Joshua 1:8.
Even though these poor kids have been through what will probably be recognised as the most infamous medical experience of the century (although brain-chips are waiting in the wings!) and this should never have been allowed to happen to them, no experience need be wasted. They will have to learn and rely on the solid truths (which most people don't learn deeply enough), and which would have saved them if they they had known them from the start. You can't rely on your appearance to make you truly happy, and you'll never be content if you focus on yourself too much. Now that they have been mutilated and disfigured, they have will have to go even deeper to find the value of themselves that eluded them before they transitioned. But now they'll know that value better than anyone. And they'll see everyone through that lens. Even better, I hope that many will find their self-worth in Christ's value of them, who died to save them while they were yet sinners. I bet a lot of these kids go on to be the most amazing Christians in the service of Christ, and other wayward souls. I hope so, anyway.

Have only listened to a few minutes of this video and am already thrilled. You know this social contagion issue happens on soooo many levels. The problem of feeling confused about who one is and /or why one exists and all of the challenges these queries pose can be "resolved" by deciding that it must be that one must've been born as the wrong gender. Hmmm, now who benefits from that? Practically everyone but the confused one . The physicians make tons of money, the counsellors develop a good rep., drug companies make a killing and the parents don't have to talk to their children about the complexities of growing up and just being in this physical realm. He got home crying saying because one of his best friends had been one of them and was now a girl. He was in 6th grade at the time… We live in Canada

I grew up out in the country in a farming community and most of us girls were tomboyish. It was so normalized there - nobody ever accused a girl of being gay or "trans" for dressing or acting a little bit masculine. In fact, being very girly was considered a bit odd.

When I first brought up my horror and anger towards the mass transgender craze going on in society to my daughter, she was mad at me. Now, a year later, she is agreeing with me that there is something wrong with transgenderism.
By the way, I was a "tomboy" as a kid. There was time that being boyish as a girl was ok and you weren't considered gay or pathological.

As a retired RN, who worked in pediatrics and school nursing my entire career. it distresses me to see this phenomenon happening to our young people. All children have issues with who they are at one time or other during their growing up years. It is our job as adults, who have managed to navigate all of the pitfalls of growing up' have now dealt our children a grave disservice by encouraging them that they can be anyone they want to be. As medical professionals, it is our job and our responsibility to investigate what is going on in the mind and the life of the child. Biologically our sex is determined at conception, that has not changed nor will it change. The best care that we can give children medically and psychology is to give them the opportunity to reveal what is going on; and then use our adult experience and our expertise to care for the whole person, which it seems is not happening in the current culture.. Regardless of what the final determination of what is going on in the mind of a child our responsibility as adults in the room is to support the children by investigating what's going on in there. It doesn't make sense to automagically assume that when a child says I don't want to be a girl anymore, I don't want to be a boy anymore. there always something going on that has stimulated this,. if we don't investigate and agree with the child out of hand we do them no favors. Politics should have nothing to of with this issue. if the government's handling of of COVID hasn't showed us enough how people can skew the reality when the govt is the one determining medical care t and policy; then how can we protect our children from lobbyists who have deep pockets to push their own agenda? We are all tasked with protecting our children. All of them.
That happens in puberty. We all feel weird. Back in the day, we waited and matured mentally. For girls it is weird. We suddenly get curves and it can feel strange. We didn't change gender.

For a little while during my adolescence, I wanted to be a boy and tried to look like one. I had wrongfully thought that only females were molested. But I never thought about changing into a boy and decades later, still thankful I didn't transition.

The parents should have been charged with child abuse the doctors, too. Anyone who has children know they have crazy hormonal changes. Why these parents would ever allow this is very disturbing. What a horrible nightmare for these kids.😢
Oftentimes, as Becket read, parents have been guilted into supporting their children until it is no longer in their power to stop it. It certainly doesn't excuse any permissive actions leading up to "therapy" but it really is a slippery slope that many parents were unprepared for.

My kids would disagree with me a lot of the time and still do, but if you love them you put up with the hard moments no matter what. You’re a representative of Christ. I am Italian , I was raised up by a father who was totally in love with Americans and their culture, he was " rescued" , he said , by American soldiers in the end of WW2 . But it's a long time already that ,as a more than mature woman , that veil was taken away from my eyes and I finally realised that much much evil comes from the US and roots in our culture , since we've been a colony since the end of WW2 ... This is just another perversion coming over 😢😢 I am a teacher and see this degeneration in some of my students and what is worse is that my young colleagues comply with this mess!! A fourteen years old girl has decided that everybody have to refer to her as a boy ... the young teachers already call her as a boy , they say HE did this, HE did that🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️I kind of scold them , I ask who??? You mean SHE, went out and stayed out of the class a lot of time etc etc... And they forced all the classmates to see her as a boy 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️I just can't ..- She revealed to be autistic , too so I think her issues are other than being another person.... My colleagues, I'm sure , consider me as a bigot , a fascist , an old retrograd lady but I don't care at all even if I think I'm fighting a lost battle against this wave of perversion pervading the western world , not to mention the pandemic mess and now the WAR the awful real war they're going straight to make it happen , evil rules the world. I love this article, but, sadly, the church doesn't educate young people on how to share the good news of Jesus with others from a young age. I pray that God will protect these young kids from the deceit of the devil and addiction, as the devil attacks the mind first. We must remember that the first sin was caused by deception when Satan asked Eve if God really told them not to eat the fruit from the tree in Genesis 3:1. If the enemy can influence our mind, then he can control our entire body. Therefore, it's important to teach our children to meditate on God's words as stated in Joshua 1:8.

Even though these poor kids have been through what will probably be recognised as the most infamous medical experience of the century (although brain-chips are waiting in the wings!) and this should never have been allowed to happen to them, no experience need be wasted.
They will have to learn and rely on the solid truths (which most people don't learn deeply enough), and which would have saved them if they they had known them from the start. You can't rely on your appearance to make you truly happy, and you'll never be content if you focus on yourself too much.
Now that they have been mutilated and disfigured, they have will have to go even deeper to find the value of themselves that eluded them before they transitioned. But now they'll know that value better than anyone. And they'll see everyone through that lens. Even better, I hope that many will find their self-worth in Christ's value of them, who died to save them while they were yet sinners.
I bet a lot of these kids go on to be the most amazing Christians in the service of Christ, and other wayward souls. I hope so, anyway.

It breaks my heart knowing how many children/teens have been permanently harmed by this, as well as countless damaged parent-child relationships. I pray this is a sign that the tide is finally turning on this matter. It is truly evil, the things our government and educational leaders have pushed on our families! We need to defend the vulnerable and call out and remove the corrupt.

Have only listened to a few minutes of this video and am already thrilled. You know this social contagion issue happens on soooo many levels. The problem of feeling confused about who one is and /or why one exists and all of the challenges these queries pose can be "resolved" by deciding that it must be that one must've been born as the wrong gender. Hmmm, now who benefits from that? Practically everyone but the confused one . The physicians make tons of money, the counsellors develop a good rep., drug companies make a killing and the parents don't have to talk to their children about the complexities of growing up and just being in this physical realm.
