    I own a CX5 (petrol) for 6 years now, Best driving experience. Almost no issues or only small ones like the motor in the auto folding mirror not working but the dealer ship changed it for free. Tried this CX60 last month and yes alot of crappy problems will be solved with the March 2024 batch. During the trial drive, i didn't notice any known issues. Well, that's just my experience.

    I own a CX60 Homura with upgrade packs and finished in gorgeous soul red crystal. Much better ride than my previous Mercedes E350D that thumped over every pothole and hence required three expensive. replacement low profile tyres in three years. Quality interior, fantastic equipment and I saved £12,000 compared to the equivalent equipped German or Jaguar PHEV. Only gripe, BEV range is overstated, but economy is excellent once you work out how to properly use its drive modes and recharge button (which could be better explained).

      Mazda is one of those cars that impressed me with its design and quality as well as ease of use. You have a good car, drive carefully.

      Lol your CX60 does not drive better than an E class MB. You may want to justify your purchase but that statement simply isn’t true.

    The Mazda CX-60/70/80/90 all use the same new platform, new inline 6, new DCT automatic, new hybrid system, and new AWD layout. There will be bugs to work out over the next 3 years and the CX-60 is already having noise problems at various speeds, bumpy handling, vague steering, and clucky batter to ICE transition. Expect more problems

      Not a DCT

    • @clarkkent9080
      @clarkkent9080 Před rokem

      @@hkfan4596 YES it is. Mazda calls it a multi-clutch transmission. It has two clutches and NO torque converter....that my friend is a DCT automatic. Even Mazda knows the DCT has a bad reputation so they call it a multi-clutch automatic.
      A DCT is basically a manual transmission that shifts automatically. Just like a manual, they are not good in stop and go driving or very low speed crawling since the only way to do that is to "burn" the clutch. They are also not good for towing since again, it requires more "burning" of the clutch to get moving.
      While replacing the clutch on a manual trans is relatively simple and not costly, in a DCT, the entire transmission must be replaced and that is very expensive.
      They use it for one reason and that is fuel economy.

    • @hkfan4596
      @hkfan4596 Před rokem

      @@clarkkent9080 if this is truly a DCT, that’s another strike against this Mazda. Bad suspension, noise issues, jerky transmission (and likely unreliable). What was Mazda thinking?

    • @clarkkent9080
      @clarkkent9080 Před rokem +1

      @@hkfan4596 What automatic has NO torque converter? Of course it is a Dual Clutch Transmission. Look at the Mazda Forum and they are saying no to these vehicles for that exact reason. A lot of manufacturers use DCTs so it is not a bad transmission. It is just not reliable under some driving conditions. If you have ever driven a manual transmission and know what type of driving increases the damage to the clutch and these transmissions are no different.
      DCTs are ~5% better with fuel economy. If your commute has no stop and go, starts on steep hills, or a lot of towing, a DCT is fine and should last 100k+ miles. But for the average American that treats a vehicle like an appliance, it could be trouble.
      NOT unreliable but less reliable than a standard torque converter automatic.
      Toyota had trouble with their semi-redesigned Tundra. If Mazda doesn't have some bugs in the first few years with this completely new vehicle it would be amazing.

    It's a terrible car, after 1 month of ownership of a CX60 top model 3.3 petrol I'm regretting this purchase.

    • @salahuddinsaidalghammdi1632
      @salahuddinsaidalghammdi1632 Před 3 měsíci

      Why

    • @craigyjp
      @craigyjp Před 3 měsíci

      Lets start with the Drivers ID which is supposed to identify the driver visually and move everything around to suit, works about 50% of the time, so I had to turn it off as it moves the seat back 10cm and the steering wheel out of the way when you stop the car, if it doesn't recognise you then the seat stays where it is, so you have to go into the connect and select your profile to get the seat and wheel back where you want it. Then there is the steaming up windows issue, when I leave the car parked I occasionally come back to all my windows full of condensation and it takes quite a while to clear with the demisters before you can drive off. Then there's all the clinking sounds from the boot when going over the smallest of bumps. The first of which is the boot lid being loose, I'm not the first to have this issue, you can physically move the boot when its locked. I moved the striker 5mm further in and that helped a lot, but still all the boot rattles, I've added foam to the tray and floor pan and thats helped a lot too, then I found out the upper trim was rattling, more foam needed. Lane assist is super aggressive, I live in a country with terrible roads and a lot of people spend their time avoiding pot holes, but the lane assist fights you when you want to avoid the pothole and its quite scarey, especially over winter and icy conditions. Try changing lanes in the snow when you want a smooth change only to have the wheel yanked back as you peform the manouvre. This cannot be disabled now thanks to the EU and you have to menu dive the connect system every time to disable for your journey until you stop again. The doors feel so light and paper thin, the wifes brand new CX-5 bought 2 weeks before is great, solid, quiet and everything does its job. All of the problems I've listed are well documented and for a car that cost me twice the price nearly of the CX5, luxury it is not and so far I've had no response from Mazda.
