Hilton Roberts it’s a bit of a mystery. I know that he was friends with Robert Fraser who was a London gallerist and who served as art director for the album. Fraser hires Peter Blake to design the cover, Blake turns out to be Bell’s friend, too. Fraser and Bell were both hip, flamboyant dressers, both with absolutely magnetic personalities. I don’t know: young, handsome, successful, influential artist, and in the right place at the right time with the right people?
