Hey how do you connect the amazon controller to the ps3
Sony should just patch is DualShock 4 and DualSense 5 controller support in to the PS3 operating system. That way we could use real Sony controllers on the PS3 that are actually superior to what came with the system originally.
The PS4 controller actually works on the PS3! Some games may not, but it's usable via USB and bluetooth.
@@PlayerJuan Right now the PS3 OS doesn't differentiate PS4 controllers when wired or wireless from third-party controllers. That's why the Home button doesn't function and why I believe Sony should patch in support for official DS4 and DS5 pads. It's very easy code to write and makes sense as it would allow the PS3 not to become obsolete prematurely. It would also help Sony sell more first-party DS4 and DS5 controllers that offer the company quite a bit of profit when compared to console sales.
As a seller on eBay I always include the other side of the disc to show people any scratches. As a buyer if seller’s do not include that in the pictures I reach out to them and ask for it, indicating I will purchase if it’s in good shape. In all my instances they send me the pictures, but it’s a good way not to get burned. Keep up the good work Juan, love you channel!

Just buy an OEM one. Sure It can be pricey, but it's basically like buying a new original Dualshock 3. Though if you find a good 3rd party controller with motion controls and precise analog sticks - could you tell me the name here?

The two consoles I mostly play are PS2 and XBox One, and I am really rough on the analog sticks for both. So to be honest, I almost always just buy the cheapest 3rd party controllers I can find, because I know it won't be long until I break the analog stick again. I generally haven't had many problems, but it can happen from time to time.... Thanks!

I have the PS3 Wireless Controller from Game stop, key note, *WIRELESS* There is No USB Port at all. I have no idea how to connect this thing or what is required, I can't search this thing even because everything is using a USB.

Yo wassup. Damn, my PS3 went crazy. No audio/video. Tried troubleshooting, I guess I have a problem with the hdmi port or worse the gpu itself. Now I can’t continue playing... :(

I took apart the 3rd party PS3 controller but now I have loose triggers and dont know how to put the spring back for the triggers
I got a controller that looks like this but it’s from it says voyee and I honestly don’t have a big problem with it and if we can’t get a original what can we do
I’ve got a couple PowerA controllers for the Switch and Xbox One. They are officially licensed by Nintendo and Microsoft, the build quality feels good and having 2 programmable buttons on the back is a great feature.
When it comes to PowerA Controllers... I have some INTERESTING things to say...
During the PS3 Era, oh my god, their controller b**** slapped the offical PS3's despite being wired or wireless. As someone with big hands, it was AMAZING and IS. I find their stuff during that time felt like official controllers for half off compared to PS3. The bigger bumpers, better triggers, and just generally I love it. Same with their Switch Controller gives me similar vibes, but wished they would go back to textured grips and girth, but having that motion control justifies my SUPPORT for it. Their Xbox One controllers to me are blegh. Just painfully mediocre.
Still better than the PDP Rock Candy controllers for ANY CONSOLE. The xbox 360 one is the BIGGEST OFFENDER or switch one. Thanks to, where hell is the rubberization on analog sticks? I would love their controllers if ACTUALLY HAD THAT. Hell Hori isn't innocent for doing that to one of their controllers either, but I bought them as VERY CHEAP 2-D Gamepads so I won't complaint. Hori's d-pad for like xbox 360 what I remember > Most 3rd parties.
As long as I have rubberization on the analog sticks, I'm happy. If it just works.

Still got my CompetitionPro SNES controller, I like using it more than the official controller as there was a turbo switch for each of the colored buttons, giving an advantage in games where those buttons had to be smashed repeatedly 😂
Hey so I recently bought 3 voyee controllers to go with my DS3 so I can play 4 player ps2 games like the bible game on my ps3. Unfortunately, only 2 of the 4 controllers will actually work before the screen goes black with the white text that's like...
'There is already a controller in port 2... please remove the multitap from port 2 to continue...'

There was another controller not knlo it had thumb drive plug in see thru but playing dbz the L1 fell off think the r1 would have fell off too think it may have light up type but I can't locate it on the brand .
To this day I still use my Logitech wireless PS2 controller, feels great in the hand and was revolutionary when it was released.
It's truly a great controller!

Another common glitch in fake KLNO too is they can move glitch left or right on player 2 it's more common less likely on player 1 but even then it can happen it may take a few ps3 resets or plugging in and out on the charger to reconfigure the error seemed to happen more on Minecraft.

My new controller from Amazon came in today and the trigger button stopped working halfway through a game of 2k 😑 it's ironic cuz the reason why I bought it was because the trigger on my other controller wasn't working

Hello Juan: You forgot to mention that its quite difficult to actually find and official PS3 controller bc there are a bunch of fake ones out there, so sometimes its hard to tell an official to a fake one(not a 3rd party one) catch my Drift?
Good point!! I ran into that issue when looking into these controllers. The boxes will look almost official, so you have to look really closely to see they don't have the Playstation logos.

@@steelbear2063 hey, I recently bought from Walmart a wireless Afterglow controller for the PS3 and it's pretty amazing, it's works like a charm and really enjoying playing Kingdom Hearts HD on it. If you get lucky like I did I bought 3 of them for $11.50 each.

Yeah that's another factor, there are many companies passing off fake controllers as the originals, scamming others in the process which is unfortunate. Let's see if I can find other decent ones in the future! Thanks for watching. :)
I know I'm a bit late to this but I love my ps3 still and if you are still curious a controller that has to be my favorite 3rd party PS3 controller ever which you can still get on Amazon for around $25 brand new and I found it for $11 at my local Walmart is the afterglow ps3/PC controller. Now while it does use batteries and a dongle it has to be the most comfortable and well made 3rd party controller I've used for the system. It does have some flaws but for what you are getting it is really good and I still highly recommend it to this day. But I am always on the look out for other good PS3 controllers that are 3rd party

Some of the sixaxes stuff don't work on knock off brands controllers games like monsters vs aliens if blob gets lazered by guard you can't shake it off or if missing link gets frozen it's frozen for keeps no do over but you can restart level .
I have one similar to that one. It isn't the greatest, but I would buy another one. I might have just gotten a good one though.
That's good to know! I've seen very mixed reactions to third party controllers for PS3, or people having to send them back and eventually getting one in working condition. Great to know yours is usable!!

Yeah it's tricky. A lot of people label controllers as real on ebay but are actually the crappy ones. Best way is to always search under newly listed and/or ps3 bundles.

The fake controllers you can charge with apple charger but never tried it I think but the fake controllers may or may not have weak batteries but have not have those types yet and they tend to favor player one on two players it's more likely to glitch left or right at times on another fake R1 L1 can be cheaper and fall off on certain brands so it's difficult to recomend one often it's battery life one of main problems on a Sony brand they stopped making them a few years back so they are risk in replacing them too on diy projects like that in putting it back correctly.

The 8bitdo controller does work on PS3, though pairing is sometimes hit-or-miss. I'll be working on a video about this in the future. :)

Ebay and Amazon are terrible for buying used games. Over half the games I buy are not in the stated condition. The returns process is okay, but it's such a waste of time, buying the same title a few times before I get one that's actually "Very Good" or better. I would (almost ; ) kill for a website that comes down hard on sellers who don't sell games in the stated condition.

I used to have a wired controller for my ps3. It had an Xbox layout and even back buttons. Dude, it was the best controller I ever used. The cord broke and we threw it away many years ago and I could never find it or the brand ever since

I still play ps3 and man the controllers pretty hard to find but thank god I got 9 of them. Because they are built in motion so there alot of game motion is required. These cheap knockoff ps3 controller they're not built with motion. Sadly I would go for ps4 controller but the motion doesn't function. So I hope sony makes dual shock 3 controller they're the best controllers ever in my opinion.

Rumble or vibration functions due legal issues Sony faced at the time of release of the PS3. The Sixaxis controller (without the Dualshock in the shell) don’t have vibration motors.

The Amazon controller is comfortable to hold, yet its imprecision, notably with drifting in first-person shooters such as Turok and Killzone Trilogy, diminishes the gaming experience. It suffices for less demanding games but falls short for precision-reliant ones. For my PS3 Super Slim, I've switched to a True Blue controller, which performs flawlessly. Instead of buying from Amazon, consider finding a refurbisher for PS3 controllers. It may cost around $34.00, but the investment is worthwhile.
Lmao. I bought this controller a few months ago, i noticed it got taken off amazon too, it just started breaking, when i plug it in all of the lights are constantly on, and the controller doesnt react to anything anymore, not even the reset button, and then i just saw this video lmao.
If the fake controllers had the Sony codes they prob work correctly but they might still have bad buttons and weak batteries too .
Bought a knockoff PS3 controller recently. It was marketed as the real deal and I had my suspicions, but went with it anyway because it was cheaper. It seems to be okay, and even looks incredibly similar to an actual PS3 Six-Axis (can definitely feel the difference, though). Then I tried it with a game called Folklore, and quickly discovered it had no motion controls. Pretty disappointing. I do have an actual Six-Axis, but it's not in the best shape these days, and I was looking forward to having a backup. The cheap knockoff would work in a pinch, I guess, but I'd like to be able to play ALL of my games with it.
3rd party controllers can be good, but I don't consider what I got to be 3rd party. When there's no honesty in its marketing, then its just a ripoff, no matter how close it comes to being legit. I should have just shelled out a few more dollars for the real thing.

With other ps3 controllers other than sony is price it's much cheaper to replace but most of them are one player fine but soon as they get more players they tend to malfunction when recharging it's best to have one on player one the sony ones on second player maybe it's the source code not sure .
Yeah I have read some have trouble with bluetooth when there's more than a few connected so that's a good observation. That's why it's sometimes tough to pick out a good one!
@@PlayerJuan might be battery replacement a good call for Sony controller still have to be careful though . Fake controllers can get the left and right glitch but it's less likely on player one still might work idk what a good brand but maybe it's the Logitech but never owned one before .

The DS4 works great on the PS3, i keep forgetting it's an option!
Some of the controllers have 4 way analog sticks whereas others have 8 way sticks. It just depends on your luck. I can confirm it is a nightmare to play any game with these 4 way triggers.
Another issue is that you can't progress in games using sixaxis.

Yeah third party controllers seem to be very good at some things but not so good at others (like you mention with the dpad)

yeah, 3rd party controllers are just bad, I actually bought the cheap controller, 3 times! and all of them broke. and the most important thing, you cant use these controllers while in recovery mode, so if you entered recovery mode, your SOL, you need a official controller.
I just ended up buying a used controller and just fixed it, at the end, its actually a much more better deal than those cheap controllers.
repairing controller can be PIA sometimes, but one thing I hate is the joystick, if those broke, im getting headaches, but one thing for sure, If im repairing this.... ill be using the stock potentiometer as much and just replace the broken mechanical part on the joystick or else, you will also experience the same sensitivity of 3rd party controllers with the joystick.
The ps3 controller is really a problem.
I too have tried many (I was assured they were equal to the original) but they sucked.
Unfortunately, though, going second-hand one gets big rip-offs, even from One-Stop. For 32€ they just sent me an original but rubbish controller! Much worse than my old controller! I tried to tell the seller (One-Stop) but incredibly they deny it, claiming to be professional and only sell strictly checked products.
I think One-Stop is trying to make money out of the junk they have left, otherwise I don't think they would be so worried about losing reputation in such a shameful way.
Anyway or ps3 it is practically impossible to find a decent controller (official sony or not)

Most off the therd party controllers dasent care about the you want to play on Xbox playing or playing you want playing ps4 supports both consoles samthin the need to happen in my opinion in the first party controllers in my opinion at least the console manufacturers realize and the add the drivers from pc users that better form the developer's and for eny other pc user

Afterglow is a good 3rd party controller
Best third party ps3 controller I've found is the PDP afterglow model: 064-015TGAP. I've had mine for around 5+ years now, They still work great and have been through a lot with my niece and two nephews using them. The only real damage so far has been the tabs for one of the battery doors has busted off.
I remember the ps2 days when I was gifted a mad catz controller it was a real piece of shit lol 🤣
They had upped their game and were actually pretty good before they went under. Shame too, their SF4 stick was really nice.
I read about Mad Catz getting better condition products at the end, so it's sad to know they are no more. But yeah that PS2 generation and back was VERY mixed.... those memory cards were awful!!!

That's true!! I've used it a few times but always like to have a solid PS3 one as some games aren't fully compatible with the PS4 controller. That being said, it's definitely an option worth recommending, especially via USB.

I bought and received this same controler last week. I was playing GTA5 while I try this new controler. Then I was exactly like you playing half life XD Driving was aweful as I instantly realisez that the trigers and the joysticks were not progressive at all. It was ON/OFF. So trying to maintain your car at low speed was painful as you had to press and depress the trigger instead of mainting a low pressure on the original sony controler. I played 10min with this tird party controller then I did not used it even if my original sony controller is bugged ^^

Never buy 3rd party gaming accessories!!! I had a 3rd party PS2 memory card and LOST all of my game saves and have never bought a 3rd party accessory since. Only buy official products. You have been warned!
