- Welcome to the latest MoDXtra: Games & Collectibles action figure review. In this instalment we're taking a look at the new G.I. Classified Series Retro Scarlett figure.
April's arrived and it's gone barmy for figure pre-orders! GI Joe Classified is no exception and Scarlett here one of many that's going to be hitting the channel in the coming weeks.
Technically speaking I don't know if these "Retro Card Backed" GI Joe figures can actually be "Classified", but I suppose I categorize them as such. This version of Scarlett is one I've been eagerly anticipating since the name-only reveal. I missed the first (and second re-paint) of Scarlett, but I wanted one I could use to recreate my favourite scenes from back in the day anyway. Question is - will she meet my expectations, or fall short?
This is a THOROUGH review. It will involve an overall view of Scarlett, and then some detailed thoughts around his aesthetic, articulation, and accessories. (My action figure review Triple A's LOL). I'd usually include an unboxing - but watch the vid and I'll explain what happened with that!
Its exciting to have a continued focus on GI Joe Classified on the channel, and its my hope that if you've been thinking of picking up a Scarlett of your own my thorough review will help you make your decision.

Dude… you SHREDDED that package! lol! Scarlett looks good.. girls has some THIGHS! I also have issues with her being backside heavy! 🤣🤣🤣 I think the geometry in her boot is wrong somehow and throws her balance off
I got my Duke and Scarlett but I still haven't got around to taking them out of the package. They just look so good that way. When past Chris forgets to plug in the mic you got edited it with one of those 1930s black and white piano playing in the background every once in a while subtitles come up.
I absolutely love this figure, but I have to admit I do have similar struggles getting her to stand on her own. I've worked around it and everything else about the figure is so great, I completely forgive that minor issue. I think you're right though, it does seem to be something to do with the shape of the boots.
The figure as a whole is a good one ( Though I did have to steam her head to make it pliable enough for the pony tail to fit correctly), but the implementation of her accessories kinda suck A LOT. so the whole lot are going in a bag. at least they didn't glue the post down on her belt so I can at least shift that quiver out of the way which also doesn't work properly either.
I think it's the feet. I generally don't have a problem getting her to stand, but yeah... She has a difficult time standing. I'm pretty sure it's the weird shape of the feet. Too much going on in terms of tread and curve of the foot it's not flat enough to get her to stand nicely in a variety of poses, especially with the pony tails and backpack.
