I really like the fact that she looks allot more buff then the old spindly buck they where using for the old female figures. Now she looks like she can kick some ass. Something I really like about the Action Force female figures. They look like they have muscle mass to do the job. Not some spindly model who restricts her calory intake for the day so she looks thin but without the muscle shed gain from properly working out.

Don’t understand why if these are supposedly “Retro” they can’t use the beautiful original Hector Garrido card art. The new art looks nothing like the original card art which was awesome. This looks like a comic book. The figure is a huge improvement over the other Classified releases.

Finally a decent Scarlett. Of all the iterations Hasbro has done over the years, I always felt that they never did her justice.
Her face could be a bit better. Hasbro has done some really gorgeous female head sculpts in recent years, particularly in the Legends line, so I think this one is a bit underwhelming. Then again, Scarlett is such an iconic character that it's hard to nail the ideal face sculpt. She's such a huge part of the lore that every fan probably has a different conception of her.
I am still very pleased though.
YES! I have both the first Scarlet and the one from the Snake Eyes movie and I'm not satisfied with either one. I'll be using one on my Sgt. Nick Fury Jr 'New Howling Commando's' Team that I am making from Valaverse and alternate Joe sculpts. I have this idea of General Thunderbolt Ross forcing an 'Elite Military Team' for Hulk Hunting!
I prefer the head and hair color on the original a lot more. Reminds me more of Scarlett than this new one does. I guess the heads can be swapped? The body looks great and a nice homage to the original 80s toy.
Great figure, nice review. Looking forward to getting some valaverse weapons on her.
The "Field Edition" Scarlett has a much darker tone to her colouring.. I find myself using the "Pale and interesting" one more though.. she seems more in touch with her Irish heritage with the very pale skin & freckles.
This new one is perhaps a bit to Lara Croft looking... I'd not mind if they make a Night Force Scarlett or even a Tiger Force one as this one's colours are not 100% suited to my display needs. She's OK with The Beige Crew though I guess.
She maybe one of those ones I won't know what I think about it until I get it and either like her or not once she's in hand.
I don't think she'd in much danger of pushing Shooter out of being my go-to Gi Jane though. That said I really like the look of Glenda so that may make me retrospectively like Scarlett too after she spends some time in a tub perhaps. I like here enough to be glad of a Quarrel repaint from her though.
One cool thing is if they do decide to use the plug system for rooted hair then even if Hasbro don't someone else can give her a "rooted pony tail" as an accessory later on. Other than that I likely won't use her guns with her as they are a bit to pale and green for my tastes I might even do some parts swaps once they start reusing her pieces more as I would prefer grey gear on her. So I like her but I don't love her, but I like her enough to be happy for them to have another go in another colour (perhaps with slightly less strong make up next time).
She will get alternate headsculpts for her NINJA FORCE versions. One sculpt with rooted hair and the other headsculpt will have a sculpted ponytail. I prefer sculpted hair.

This figure looks like it has great posing possibilities compared to the other release. Can’t wait to get it in hand hopefully it ships in a week or so from pulse for me.
Yeah the posing with this is night and day compared to the first one.
All that's missing now is a retooling of the Baroness buck, give her double jointed elbows and I'll get her too.

As an U.S. ARMY veteran and action figures collector im very happy with the job Hasbro have done for so many years and now bringing G.I. Joe back to life with incredible details on the Classified Series. I wish they come with some Tanks and vehicles like choppers, Jets and more. Also would be nice if they make some new 12 inch action figures. They need to add SGT Savage to the Classified Series.
Classified has the Vamp(jeep), Hiss Tank(fantasy tracked vehicle) And the Dragonfly helicopter(chopper?) keep an eye out for Haslab announcement's and watch out for places like "A Punk with Toys", to put fan support behind vehicles and characters you want to see come to the classified line!
I dont expect to see sgt Savage in classified very soon, as he wasn't introduced to gijoe untell 95' and that wasn't a......."Strong" era for Gijoe, as far as fan support. Good luck though! I hope you can fill out your collection with your favorites?

Have you looked at action force? They make great 6 inch figures too. They cost a little more but IMO its better quality and they put way more effort into giving the figures better weapons. Some people don't like the lines owner (former hasbro employee whos not afraid to talk about how he hated things he had to do at hasbro) which turns some people off. I get that bothers other people but it doesn't me. Anyway I think he's making a great line that you can collect separately or like I do to go with my joe and cobra vehicles. Plus they are putting out a really nice armnored vehicle (based on a real world one) coming out in the next few months., Anyway if you haven't heard of action force the company behind it is called valaverse.

I'm biased, but I did a custom retro repaint on the movie Scarlett figure, and I like it a lot more. Definitely has a prettier face too, imo.

@@Apunkwithtoys It's just polyurethane floor wax. Works good tho. Don't spend the money on Kiki's just get some good polyurethane wax.

The Duke and scarlet retro carded classified heads look off to me. But I still want the Scarlett.

The ankle joints and pivot look really good for acrobatic posing. Personally, I will probably thin out the paint on the lips... its too much.

Quite excited about this one! Odd there is not a holster for her pistol. Oh well. I may work up a belt holster on her back. I like the draw from a holster in that position. Scarlet bossing Destro around and insulting him in the original miniseries is how I see this character. She’s just an awesome character! I liked the re-imagined Scarlet if only she had more range of motion in her elbow. I could live with the rest of it. She’ll definitely be with Snake Eyes in my collection.
I know that you didn’t swap heads because the difference in skin tones was too extreme. Are they still compatible? I was planning on putting the retro head sculpt on my redeco’d Scarlett. That one is a little more tanned.
You can put the old one on your the new figure but you will need sticky tack as the ball joints are way different sizes.

Looks to me like a bottle for air on her crossbow. They do have pneumatic crossbow or airbow as they are called. Who knows. But thats just what it looks like to me
I thought the first wave Scarlett was really good. Just didnt like the single joint elbows, the face that was too pale, and the crossbow top that kept falling off. I wouldn't call her a statue though. That said, this Scarlett is a massive improvement, though I agree her face is not as pretty as the first version.
Punk have you tried product like the Kiki fix loose joints action figures liquid on your old scarlet to fix her loose joints? I use the stuff on my figures and once dry it works fantastically. He sells it on ebay and frankly its worth its weight in gold IMO. 😂😂 but its only like 9 bucks.
Hey man you can use polyurethane floor wax too. Word around the campfire is that's what's in Kiki's. I use the floor wax and it's just as good. I quit buying the Kiki's

I miss the details and expression of the first one. I think that will remain my default Scarlett, despite this one having better arm articulation.
FINALLY!! My most wanted retro figure! Love the lipstick and makeup. Glad they are making them look feminine. The initial Lady Jaye and Scarlett were on the butch side.

Zarana stands great! That's correct! Lady Jaye isn't too bad at first but loosened up quickly; that's one the only two I didn't like. So good Scarlett is sturdy! And her hair is actually scarlet!
Because she is hot, sexy, yet no pushover. You can make sexy heroines and make them strong as well.
As for those earlier release Jane and scarlet... They are major butches, they look like men!!! And no one's wasting money on them, you can see them at bargain bins. This one though... She will be out stick real soon!!!

The face is a little iffy, but still looks almost as good as the render.
Looks good, still not how I remember her from the cartoon. years have fogged my brain image of her.

Scarlett has the rocker hip. and the rocker "rib" joint , this means 4 directions of movement in two places in the torso, same as the lady jaye and other female bodys in the classified line, and i would think its better because of sculpt being clear of obstrutions and no restrictive secondary vests ,the big change in articulation point is the arms, ( I think Punk meant they went with the rocker joints over the ab hinge that the male characters get.)
I think that tank on the crossbow is a gas canister. If it was a pnematic crossbow bolt gun that would make sense but on a crossbow with string arms? Again I wish the somebody on the joe team just knew a little bit about the guns they put on their figures. Just some time spent on wkipedia could go a long way. Or heck get a gun consultant for the classified team. ugh.

I preordered from Hasbeen...ahem...Hasbro directly, and nothing in my mailbox.
Dope review, Larry. You mean to tell me that SCARLETT's holster got priced out? Anyway, I'm sorry I don't like that face sculpt. Red isn't nearly as attractive as she should be. From her v3 file card going forward they all stress how gorgeous Shana is and that portrait simply doesn't capture her beauty.
Classified retro version looks great, never liked the look of the original vintage version.
Those guns, rfles and weapons should all come black with maybe some gold and silver for the ammo and other parts but a just green color make it look fake and bad.
Psst, GI joe is not real military, so some of its gunna be"FAKE" just a heads up. Some people will like the different color weapons as thats what came with the original 3.3/4 toys, Punk highlights some good replacement weapons for your realistic needs. He mentions different brands from time to time but gridiron studios has some realy nice props for 1/12 scale.
(The classified line started out offering actual scaled down Nerf weapons, so at least we get some real world sculpts now.)
When thinking in terms of reality, We have to keep in mind that the green weapon is coming with a "counter intelligence operative"(spy) wearing a bright yellow leotard.
that being said , I hope your having alot of fun, and finding the community of customizers that are all about bringing Gi joes into the real world military vibe!
@@HiItsMe-uk7mq From what i seen since my childhood in the 80's and 90's i always saw the U.S. ARMY on some uniforms name tags in G.I. JOE action figures, the 12' inch Joes had the whole U.S. Military Soldiers you can imagine, i have a few. I understand what u said about being a fantasy cartoon and all but even the intro of the series show them fighting evil enemies (Cobra) raising the United States flag! As a kid that was amazing to me. G.I. JOE, Rambo, The A-Team all those Wonder tv shows and my father example.of being a Soldier motivates me to become a Proud one. I personally would make a G.I. JOE movie with Rambo on it, he should joined the G.I. JOE. That would be an amazing Classified Series 🤔 I have the Sgt Savage cartoon on my page and also some videos of my action figures collection. @@soldier4life_PR I like how many ways gi joe can be experienced, they definitely started with the us military look, and I hope we get some more in the classified line, Lenny the main designer for classified likes getting into the "millspec" details, so they definitely have your perspective in mind.
Rambo joining the joes, Is interesting, As he has the lone wolf aspect to him, there probably is some interesting stuff to explore with Rambo as a returning soldier, and his struggles with mentally justifying how he was used to make war or feeling abandoned by the counrty?. (mostly thinking first blood). Or it could just be bad ass exploding arrows fun too. I think its awesome how the gijoes connect with our military. And now to check out that Sgt Savage cartoon, thanks
@@HiItsMe-uk7mq Rambo was not used to make any wars. The war was already happening and he had a mission to eliminate the enemy and rescue the hostages P.O.W's... Rambo was there to finish the war. He did was abandoned as a casualtie of war but that's part of the movie, real soldiers we never leave nobody behind, we ratter die.

haaha, the original classified scarlett is far from a statue. All it lacks is the double elbow it has the single hinge with rotation. And does have some butterfly(I know), has the hingedneck ball that can look full up, seperate neck articulation , everything else is the same articulation points as the retro. The 1st classified scarlet is still better then 90% of female bucks being made today, for articulation, both marvel legends and star wars have less, mcfarlane etc is all over the place,
You seam a bit self conscious when trying to pose figures on camera , try not to worry about it , take your time , were here to watch your take on the figures, and it would be nice to see some of the poses you like to get em into, as part of the reviews. Just bring your skateboard knowlege, its just balance. great video punk,
