Best Scarlett figure in the line! Its the figure we should of got from the beginning.
Well hey better late than never! I'm just glad we finally got her, and she's fantastic!
This has been the most solid version of Scarlett for the series of 6 in figures for GI Joe. I like the first release of Scarlett in the 6 in line but the buck on this version is great by comparison.
I am afraid I’ll loose the bolts so for me it’s either the old figure boxes back when they were doing plastic free packaging or they’ll remain in the bolt quiver cause those things are too easy to loose imo. I wish they’d have just gave her the same two weapons that Grunt came with to be honest because it looks great in that color

Oh yeah totally, I agree with you there. To me it just felt a bit excessive, but I won't complain especially considering I'm using the spare weapons for my other Joes!

I just got her yesterday! Probably my most anticipated figure in the line and she really delivers!! Absolutely amazing figure with wonderful articulation , sculpt, and details.

Retro Scarlett body + Movie Scarlett head = perfection

You know we're in a good era when the main complaint is "too many weapons included".
Considering what extra weapons cost from Vala or Gridiron, I'll take them.
Regarding the bolts and some other comments, I also feel this shows the difference between collecting types. I've already gotten mileage out of photography and just fun poses for my desk. I can see it being uninteresting to people who just rack figs on the shelf.
Couldn't agree more. I'll never whine about too many accessories, and I've started using all the extra accessories on other Joes and it works perfectly.

Wait... so are you saying that to you the shuriken, breast zipper, shoulder grenade (cylinder or baseball), and forearm derringer are -- not very 80s? Those all check 80s boxes for my money. (idk why they moved her derringer to the left arm though. maybe so the right arm could be reused for other figures?)
first time i ever saw a colector COMPLAINING about acessories.
Like I said in the video, I wasn't "Complaining." I was just saying that I don't know why you'd include these specific accessories with this character, Scarlett is not someone I typically imagine with those specific weapons. I've used them on other Joes on my shelf now, so I'm not mad at their inclusion. I just didn't know why those specific ones were included, recently on an interview the team stated they liked to include more accessories with figures since they can't make straight up accessory packs, so it makes sense now in my mind. In any respect, I hope you enjoyed the rest of the video.

@@bladerj I'm also a Marvel fan, I collect Marvel Legends. I'd love for Hawkeye to have special arrows and for every Spidey figure to come standard with thwip/punch/wall crawler hands and a Peter Parker head. Again, not complaining about accessories. I don't write scripts for my videos, it's all train of thought. And when I was filming, I was like "Why are there so many accessories with this specific figure?" And now we know.
@@noimthequestion I didn't have a problem... with ALL the accessories, really just the M16. that one seemed a tad strange to me, kinda wish they would've swapped the m16 with a holster for the pistol
I got her yesterday, still I believe the best Scarlett is the one from the movie, she looks really good, this one looks good, but the expression is some how odd. Even so the body mold is great.
Yeah her face sculpt is a bit odd? I can't quite put my finger on it, I was actually considering picking up her movie version and putting it on this body mold just to see how it looks.
@@noimthequestion The movie head is a bit smaller and the ball peg for the retro card body is just a bit big, swaping pegs should work, I got a nice minty boxed one from bbts at a good price recently. the movie Figure is better then I expected as well. Let us know how that swap works out.
Of all of the movie figures, Scarlet has to be the best (with Snake Eyes being a *VERY* close second).
As the movie figure head sculpt is based on Samara Weaving…of course it’s going to look great!!
Im a little confused, the OG Scarlet figure had all the on "body" features this one does,of course they were molded in, excepting for the classified additions being the zippers and the quiver belt,. The "daranger" has been swaped to her other arm the leg pouches are now overlays with a functional sheath for her knife. As for the girth of accesorys, the designer has said some times they offer accesorys with " getting them into the line" for a "world of play" in mind. so Quick kicks fudgey bar can be used by bazooka because he was hungry on mission.RIght It also might have to do with what molds are available to be used when they are in production. Also this scarlet body is a repaint or "pre-paint" of the Glenda so there might be rome in the budget to pack scarlet out a bit more then say the all new duke sculpt.

Nice review, very fair while pointing out what you see going on. I do like that you call out if your nit picking its very helpfull to know how much a reviewer thinks an issue affects the overall enjoyment of the figure.
Oh I think the accesorys being different colors is echoing the vintage toys and kinda serves to match figures up to the accesorys they came with. So like we want lots of sunbow lazer rifles in the line right , to mix and match, but when you go to sell or trade them you can see what goes with who. because duke had the darker gun butt . or grunts is all green .That kinda stuff that replicates re-configuring vintage toys.
I really appreciate that concept. Having other Joes or characters come with loads of guns and accessories for use across the whole line. Unfortunately I doubt that we'll see a box of Joe weapons and accessories, so seeing them be put in with other figures is a great idea. And I do see your point of it reminiscing the original O-Rings with multi coloured weapons, there's just a part in my brain that far prefers uniformity. And I do appreciate the thoughts, I always like seeing what other people think of the line and their opinions of the toys in general.
@@noimthequestion YEAH, Sometimes you just want a whole rack of the same blaster, to role out like a sunbow scene, right! have you ever tryed duplicating items with the "blue stuff "and "Green stuff" puttys? IT can be a bit tricky but I find it fun.

But yeah Hasbro should hire the Valaverse "GUY" to make there weapons too, I bet he snatched up all the durable ridged plastic at Michaels .Rumor has it Hasbro has some on order from Hobby Lobby but its still not as good as the Michaels stuff. OR maybe Hasbro's weapons sculptor keeps clicking the wrong button on his " TOY Maker 2000" computer, Just Click "Durable and Ridged" in the print menu, The FOOL!!😡 Wait hes gotta be a Professional right?🤯 🤔 I bet he was just a little hungry so he selected "Gummy". The M16 gun is too big and not true scale.
Yeah it is a bit big, but you put it in the hands of some other Joes and it scales a bit better I think at least.
