That white border is such a small thing but is such a huge part of that vintage look. So strange that HISS Cobra Commander had it, and not everything after... Hoping it appears on the next wave!

I bought a secondhand "regular" Classified Duke and the owner must have been a chain smoker. EVERY SINGLE TIME I even see that Duke, I can smell cigarette funk. This retro Duke is definitely A+. It literally made me buy a vintage Duke a few days ago and I never owned him as a kid.

Awesome work, Moody!!!! Finally got my Scarlett yesterday!!!! Duke has been so lonely for the past two weeks!!! Now, I am a Happy Camper!!! These Retro figures are just what the Doctor ordered. This Review was very entertaining, More so than others you have done...So far!!! I look forward to more videos from you!!! Exactly, something with bazooka, im happier with tiger force outback. Scarlett on the way but this Duke is a must.
I ended up using Tony's recipe for my Scarlett. It's a lot of work, but looks great!

I’d go Retro Duke 1st, Scarlett 2nd and then Recondo. I even like the Retro Recondo but the other two are almost perfect imo. I took the TF Recondo black hat and use it on the Retro Recondo, I like it better than the one that came with him.

😆 what a great and comical review Trav! Good in-depth contrast of the figures to retro also. These three were probably the strongest retro figures released to date. The modernized bucks, the overall presentations of each and the nostalgia all really lands for me. While I was fine with the modernized aesthetics of each of them already the bucks on these retro releases are the better of the two versions and variants. Head sculpt wise, I have a few of the retro Scarlett so I may have one with a BW head sculpt for a change up and the other with the one included with retro Scarlett. I like the one the came with the modernized Scarlett the most and I never tried the movie Scarlett swap but surprise the pins don’t align 😆
I think if we would have gotten OG colors first, the TF stuff wouldn't have sold as well, where we got the TF to fill the spots until OGs came out, everyone picked them up
Hasbro is killing it with the Retro figures. Duke is awesome. Do you think they will give us a Retro Flint?

I just don't understand how lots of this stuff escape the factory's. Marvel legends figures head sculpts and paints are like 1,000 but when it comes to the joes like your Recondo he is missing paint on the hair behind the ears and also the torse being loose. IDK
