Purple Star Platinum is aestheticly pleasing. The gold and purple seem more regal.... also Lakers lol
I bloody loved Stardust Crusaders! My favourite JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series. Whilst these figures do have their problems, they are some of the best-looking action figures at the moment. Extraordinarily eye-catching! Paint, accessories, shading, etc… lovely display pieces to add to the shelf.

Star Dust Crusaders is my favorite JoJo story because of the Capcom Game.
That was my first exposure to the series.

These figures hurt the most being at import price, since you pretty much need to buy two figures for a single character. As for JoJo parts, Stardust Crusaders got me into it, while Golden Wind is my favorite, but Joseph is my favorite protagonist (which I guess is helped by being a major character in multiple parts)
Part 7 is my favorite by far, hope it gets animated.

Part 4 is my favorite. Its just such a fun part. This jotaro seems a bit thin for part 3. Maybe im wrong tho
I personally really like the Light purple with blue and with color scheme they gave Star Platinum in Diamond is Unbreakable.
Also Steel Ball Run is the peak of the series.

Part 1 used to be my favorite now it's 2. Part 1 one is the definition of being a man and a gentleman at that. 2 though is so much more expansive, the settings, the power arcing even the friends, acquaintances and enemies! Truly a adventure. Part 4 Diamond is unbreakable is quite homely to me though. I love the color and the lines.

Not at full retail price and not if they don't make the stands. Otherwise, yes lol
3 and 4 are tied for me, part 2 is second place and I'd really like for them to adapt part 7 since what I read of it was pretty good.
For me it was actually battle tendency. I kind of like the Whole globetrotting World War II vampire aspect to it. But Stardust Crusaders is a very close second
They used to be my go to collectibles although they keep the rereleasing the same figures with the body mold over 10 years instead of improving them. Worst thing is the more they rerelease the more expensive they get.
I personally love part 5 the most. The support cast around Giorno is way too good, so many iconic parts and it's probably the only part that really hooked me in from the get go.
These character designs are pretty cool. I just have never been able to get into any anime. Not for me.
Wish Medicos would update the part 3-4 figures since they are damn near 20 years old at least the part 3 figires are as they came out in 2009

They are expensive in the US go to plaza Japan and they about 60-70 plus shipping but they have Al of them

New msrp on SAS figures are way too high, i enjoyed buying them when they were around 40, getting them secondhand from Mandarake was even cheaper.

Blue with purple star platinum
Stardust crusaders is the most Iconic but part 5 has some of the best fighters. Part 6 setting is perfect. As for Star Platinum’s color I’ll go with blue.

Apparently the green color for Star Platinum is what Araki always liked more then the purple color
Araki has said that there’s no definitive color for his characters because the way he paints is mood oriented.

They look kind of wonky. Star Platinum'a head is spot on, but its torso is odd. Jotaro is too slim for part 3. His face also looks more like a fan art. Steel Ball Run is the best part and the purple Star Platinum is my favorite along with the blue uniform Jotaro.
I’m pretty sure that’s how he should look like during part 5 and besides SAS can’t really make very articulated figures and also make them really buff. The pillermen are capable because they are naked

there's no excuse for the anime colour versions but they're often based off the manga which is a lot less bowling ball sized than the anime

Being an SAS fan is tough these days. There used to be frequent figure releases, but now it's rare to see any. The system is cluttered with pricey reissues and elusive Wonfes lottery figures. Quality issues persist, and reissues often come with inflated prices due to increased demand from newcomers hopping on the bandwagon after watching the anime. It's a frustrating experience. Everything around is moving forward, yet companies like Medicos Entertainment seem stuck in their ways, clinging to outdated strategies without innovating. It's no wonder sales drop.

Recently, SAS have been hit or miss. The faces on recent reissue and releases look terrible but they get away with it cuz they're figures that people have been waiting to get.

Part two, Battle Tendency, wins out easily for me. It's not even close. Favorite part, favorite Jojo, favorite villains, awesome supporting rival character in Cesar, and I really liked the creativity of Joseph and how he fought and used his Hamon.

theyre usually around 70 at the japanese sites when they arent discounted. unfortunately, any postage option worth using pushes the price to be comparable with US retailers.
You know, super action statue figures are kind of weird
For one thing, their sculpt is absolutely great, they nailed the faces, details and certain parts of the accessories.
But, their proportion for some their JJBA especially part 1-3 are bit skinnier than their anime/manga counterpart
Why are these two so expensive all the other are around 100.
these are the BIG ones. they only made these 2 and DIO and The World. you're looking at the normal size ones

I actually like that he isn’t as buff while still having muscle, it seems more in line with what he should actually look like. He’s canonically 82kg which is slightly lighter for someone his height and age, plus n part 5 there’s a flashback showing Jotaro in part 3 where he’s quite slim.

Not a fan of how stylized the JoJo SAS figures are. Characters in Part 3 are super buff and these figures don't feel accurate.
Also, for that price Jotaro should have come with an action face. Specially because he does a lot of punching and screaming in the series.
in the manga they're (a little) less buff and these are usually sculpted after the manga and the anime versions are just repaints instead of different versions like they should be

I will fight everyone on earth for Part 6 being the peak of JoJo. I watched through all 4 parts that were out at the time and then read Part 6 because it seemed more interesting than part 5.

Man, I'm never one to complain about your "complaining" but you went way too light on that elbow articulation. If it was Marvel Legends, you would've harped on it for a while. Again, I actually like your "harshness" but ya gotta be more consistent.
There's nothing wrong with the elbow articulation aside from the elbow pad sticking out funny but that's the character design... Seems like you're just looking for something to have a problem with because ml figures are terrible 90% of the time.
What are you talking about? Aside from the neck, the elbows are probably the best functioning part of the figure.
@@AnthonysCustoms I'm sorry, I probably worded it wrong and you're definitely titled to your opinion, I didn't mean the articulation itself----I meant more of the gigantic gaps once the arm is bent in. It was never my intent to try and insult you, again, I'm a fan. Your critiques are great. I just think at the higher price point it looks a bit nasty.
Also, I don't collect ML and generally agree with your critiques of Hasbro.
