- Hey there everyone. Welcome back to DD5! We have spent a lot of time getting ready for the third room for the dog pen, and we don't want to rush it. Becasue of that, we have decided to take a part time solution. Check out all the work and effort we put into this... It wont be here forever!
As some may or may not know, each month we pick a new channel to help promote. This month we are promoting one of our "Oklahoma" Homesteaders... The channel is called @ShermansFamilyFarm

❤ the white lattice lol I used mine to hid my neighbors yard 😂 we get high winds in Fontana CA it's holding up pretty good over lap it two i have mine supported by a chain link & zip ties too & it still looks great 2 years already.

I have used PVC lattice for over 30 years in my yard… it lasts wonderfully! I love it!
When you build your Daughters bedroom above the front porch, you may want to consider building an insulated platform for her bed instead of directly on the loft boards. As there would be no insulation between her bed (the whole loft floor) and the outside. Very cold in winter. I have a loft over porch. Had to make that change as it really impacts the comfort for sleeping and the temperatures in her bedroom.

Oden is checking it out. They like their new dog houses. I had a dog one time that was scared of the dark. You take really good care of your furbabies. Have a safe trip and be careful. Maybe unscrew every other light bulb, that’s to much light out there, I believe the bugs are going to attack them too much, you’ll see in the future, I hope not family! Yall did the best you could with what you had. Have a safe trip and lots of fun too❤🎉

Consider a bunge cord around the feeders to attach to the fence so they don't tip their food over. Not that I've ever had that happen! ;-)

Would have been better with the wire mesh that you have round the Dog pen doing that could see each other better and it is stronger going to chew through that stuff in no time the wire is definitely better I might be wrong 👍😀

Cut the end of the tin/metal off and put down the end. That will give it a little more protection from the elements. Enjoy your time away. Love the new ideas.

❤ All of your dogs can get out of the pin y'all have built. Oden and Halo could easily get out if they really wanted to. I will go as far to say that Wednesday can get out of the plastic ladies too.
They stay because of the way you trained them but when you are gone for days and their routine is different from their daily life things change with animals that love you as much as your's do.
So be ready.
If that's a temporary pen it's not going to be easy to remove those metal posts

Dog house should have hay or straw (cleaned weekly) and not fabric or blankets because of the snow/rain being tracked in and the material freezing and be insulated.
