7:43 all computers love Tech YES B10W Jobs
yes
That little snicker after he said it made me laugh more.
I laughed too he's getting sexual with the PC parts 😂
It's satisfying watching someone else do all the hard cleaning work while I just sit there sipping a cup of hot coffee.
I'm happy I'm not smelling any dust too
Only down side is you don't get any money only the enjoyment of watching bryan but it's sometime all you need
My lord, that owner treated that machine like a red-headed step child.
ahhh damn that's my lol for the day.
Well, it does have a red stripper-heel fan in the front.. so maybe that's exactly what it was...
As a red-headed person I don't appreciate these sort of comments.
@@Krhys1 Yaa but are you also a step child?
@@iamperplexed4695 bruh... 🤣
It absolutely is an incredible feeling when you give loving to equipment. Last month I cleaned out my 10 year old MacBook + thermal repaste, and did the same with a 5 year old acer Notebook. Got 10°C and lower fan speeds out of it, feels like one of the most satisfying things ever.
7:43 didn't expect him to say that , LOLZ !
More satisfying than watching carpet steam cleaning.
I still remember opening up an old PC to work on and finding what was left of a dead mouse ! It was turning into a puddle of goo - nasty ... Also found one in a used transmission I bought to overhaul . His stain remained in the trannies pan , even after cleaning ....
If only I lived in Australia, I love cleaning PCs tbh.
bringing a pc back to its glory, is a beautiful thing
How do the fans survive the bath without removing the lube in the bearings?
Some fans have sealed bearings
Me and my Ginger tea and some Tech Yes City remedy
That sonic cleaner legit needs a seperate channel man. 😄
I still have my HAF 932, best air flow case EVER. Doubles as a BUNKER too if needed
I think this build is decent. The 1060 is the only part that probably needs to be upgraded. Thanks TYC!
The Cooler Master HAF 932 is quite possibly my favourite case.
Ikr you sound super excited lmao!!
pulling an i7 6700 and a 1060 out of the dumpster though, thats a nice find!
7:42 it's a good way to treat morning wood.
"...get it off with your finger...." 🤣
I use 3D printed universal IO shields when a mobo comes without one. Just completes the look and are a grid design so easy to cut to the mobo back port layout.
That sounds like a great idea.
Can you share the STLs?
@@thedungeondelver I believe they're on Thingiverse, trying to remember the exact name!
@@thedungeondelver can't seem to share the link but just search for universal IO Shield on Thingiverse and you'll find it.
oh, that sounds neat. Got some older boards where finding the proper IO shield is basically impossible.
Btw, I found them already printed for those without 3d printer
"Why do you sound excited?"... I was just gonna comment that I'd just LOVE to get my hands on a project like that.
That Legendary Cooler Master HAF 932!!
Tech YES Music on point.
Man Cooler Master used to put out some banger cases. I'm still using a CM HAF 922. So many glorious, tool-free hard drive slots and plenty of room for anything.
machines need a clean once in a while, especially when smoking nearby.
A simple wipe every month or so to start, and then maybe 3-4 times a year getting out the duster to clean all those nooks an crannies and the buildup in coolers. And than maybe once a year a throughout cleanup with disassembly.
I noticed toothbrushes are quite effective to get intbetween lower cooling fins and then maybe a pastry brush for deeper things.
I am a smoker, and yes the toothbrush and Q-tips are the way to go with a bit of iso alcohol and it rubs the tar soaked dust right off.
Then I usually just wipe everything down with a cloth and a air duster. I do this once every 3 months it takes half an hour to an hour.
It is definitely worth doing this if you are a smoker.
At this point just buy a console lol. Once a year is fine
@@xSpebaa would even be better if you smoked outside.
@@aboveaveragebayleaf9216 probably would, but i live on my own and can do what ever I want.
@@xSpebaa I understand, but also understand to non smokers the smell is not pleasant, and you will never get all of the tar off the walls if you want to move in the future.
Nice to see the good old cooler master haf 932 case 😍
7:43 What did he sayyyy😂😂
You heard what he said :P
There’s only ONE that knows how to do that tech YES lovin’!
That was refreshing!
TECH YiiS LUBIN!
Need more pc cleaning episode
Great work Brian!
Flawless Victory!!!!
That's s cooler master 932 case. My wife has one and I still want one. They're awesome cases.
If you have a side door fan, they cool a gpu exceptionally well.
This is your best work yet Bryan!!!! I love this man!
The Cooler Master HAF 932 has been a real beast of case. I've been using one since early 2009 and its still doing the job.
Still cautious about cleaning a PSU in water but you always prove me wrong. The best part was replacing the usually small and noisy GPU fan with a beefier and a more quiet one that does the job better.
Great video. The before and after so different.
Give that some tech yes loving ❤
Great video showing a lot of people how to keep their PC clean. Love the ultrasonic cleaner that cleaner helps a lot.
Hey Brian,cool haircut!!!!
Tech yes ultra clean loving. Nice 👍
Yo brian, make sure to relube the fans if they sit in the hot tub for that long, detergent will try to dissolve the bearing grease too
Wow! This is why we all come here, thank you! 💕
Great job mate
I love this series
You are fantastic, the patience you have to clean it and leave it as new is impressive. You also give him a new one. for us it is a treasure.
Great work as normal Bryan, lovin that build... considering the state it was in, amazing what you can do and turn a profit!
love the series!!
I do enjoy watching these cleaning videos of yours while I lay in bed waiting for sleep. It's relaxing to me lmao
Nice. Looks better than new.
Love watching cleaning videos. Although I am still skeptical about using the ultrasonic cleaner on the fans.
You are a passionate person and brilliant youtuber. I love your videos and work. I appreciate your videos. Well done.
The three upgrades I'd make to that right away would be...
1) a better cooler for that i7-6700, I'm just not a "fan" of the top down Intel stock coolers, I want to see copper heatpipes, at least one fan if not two, and aluminum fins like a nice motorcycle engine block, and that will help with overclocking (maybe need a 6700K for that though)
2) that motherboard has an m.2 slot that can use an NVMe boot drive, might as well get one in there even if it's just a $40 one for Windows and a handful of favorite games
3) $40 is enough to get four of those RGB heat spreaders for the RAM sticks and that adds a ton of color as well as function to keep it cool, maybe allowing some memory overclocking
Ultras clean look good job Brian
Ohhhh the good old HAFx
You have a great taste of music mate
its really cool to watch hardware getting a second life!
Bryan, you don't know filthy until you see cat hair adhered to the fans and interior with vape juice, then containing a bunch of dead roaches on the inside. I'd clean that thing any day before revisiting the nightmare I picked up last year on the side of the road.
That’s some real tech yes lovin
The satisfaction of cleaning and turning it on
When you and Greg are in TW, we're doin a cleanoff!
MSI puts on some nicely designed fans with more fins than most. I wouldn't say it was brittle, more like they were thin so they can fit more fins. As the owner of three MSI RX 580s and a 1050, I can tell you that they will not take a hit. Plus, good demo that some fans just can't take that much force from a blower.

He didn't keep any parts this time.

Loving the deep electro House
I love those copper heatsinks! I would have changed the stock intel cooler to a small all-copper cooler.
Maybe an old copper Zalman such as the cnps 7500/9500/9900
This is why you always take the gentle method of wiping down GPU fans Brian xD
Nothing like waking up to TechYes uploading a vid. It's always a great breakfast video to watch
Great video, I actually have that same PC case. It has plenty of space inside and high airflow. I even replaced the original front fan with a 200mm RGB one and the top fan was replaced with an AIO. The case is big and heavy, but it is very functional.
I love the number of hard drive trays it has .
@@mikescomputercorner1204 True, but I use it more for the external drive bays. I rip a lot of CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays, so the number of available bays is a plus for me.
That Cooler Master HAF... Good Airflow for its time, but such a pain to clean off... I had to Clean 2 of them a few month ago... those transparent fans always end up yellowish...
It's still pretty competitive for that today. They're all glass today.
Scd keys are amazing I have used them several times now and have never had a problem and the price is so reasonable. Amazing job and you obviously relish the challenge to turn the dumpster bound computer to a repurposed functioning Computer so less for the landfill ...!!!
That fan swap on gravis card was dope
I like how he took the stuff outside in the back, and then blew it out without closing the sliding glass door. 😄
These cases are iconic in my opinion. We have two in the family. The Volvo station wagon of gaming cases...almost indestructible.
Last time Brian had one of these he failed to figure out how to take apart the case panels fully...hoping this pleb figures it out this time. Haaaahhhhh
Ouch! I did that to a GPU fan back awhile ago. That sucks!
Nice view @7:13
Man the music on this one was just... 👌❤️🥺
That is still a nice case. My previous gaming rig had the HAF 922 and same case with the pc before that.
That’s a damn decent pc
I'd love to see you pick up an old 486 or Pentium, clean it up and make a great retro DOS gaming machine.
Letting Bryan dive into AT hardware should be interesting.
for the record, there is no such thing as "too much dirt /grime" for the yes man.
Commodity exchange 🥳🤝
Things I would do:
I would try to remove that hard drive cage or see if I can move it up where the 5.25" bays are, possibly fit in a replacement there for the purpose of increasing airflow.
Add a fan to the bottom for additional cooling.
Look into a different side panel or creating a new one with an expanded view.
I'm going to start collecting motherboard back-plates too.
Oh joy!
Your amazing Bryan
that is really impressive:)
Great trade like old times
i love your videos! i'm at the other side of the planet, in belgium.
*LOVE that HOUSE MUSIC during the clean !* What song is that ???
You can also buy I/O shields directly from manufactorers. I used to build and sell pcs, often using refurb or return parts and they usually had no i/o shields. I would just contact the manufactoror and they would usually send one for about 5 bucks.
A lot of us have seen worse so much worse lol. The aromatic combo of cigarettes, body odor, cat piss, and roaches all with a thick coat of dust along with some cigarette glaze underneath it all makes for something of nightmares.
Dang, I love your channel, man. What else can I say?
"The straw that broke the camels neck"
heard this for the first time :D
Good day Bryan, greatly appreciate your thoroughness and attention to detail. I've learned a substantial amount from your channel over the years.
Would you please confirm what affect your extensive Ultrasonic Deep Cleaning have on the Cooling Fan's Bearing Lubrication. Many Thanks.
THIS!
They would need relubing, hope he see's this.
was just thinking the same thing
He put the GPU and PSU in water, right? Is it risky to do so? I would be too scared to even dip the fans' cables in it.
@@Piohm As long as it's 100% dry it will be fine, just those fans will either need to be lubed or replaced if not.
Brian is a wizard. Watch this somehow morph into an amazing gaming rig over the course of this video.
Nice job with the cleaning. The build is asking for a snowman cooler and some OCing on the cpu. I’d think it could use an exhaust fan in the back, as well. Then it would be ready for a better card, all the way up to say 1080 ti.
How would you OC a stock non K sku i7-6700 pretty much not, could only force it to always turbo to its max but not push it much further than that
@@genericchannel9448 hey, I thought it was the k, my bad.
@Tech Yes City could we maybe get a music list ? That first track during the ultrasonic cleaning was fire !
Why don't you use a solvent in the parts washer? It would seem that solvent would reduce the chance of corrosion and would dry easier.
Haf X or Haf 932. I had one of those cases in the past, what a beast
I have that same exact case! Cooler master haf932 full tower. I run a msi b350 tomahawk with a ryzen 1600 rx480 8gb 16gb 2133 ram xmp to 2400.
My first pc was a dell xps 8100 I found in a dumpster. It was immaculate compared to this pc hahaha. All the thing needed was a new HDD. Served me well for years. Literal dumpster PC.
