I swear RedCandle come up with the best video game titles.
Sol means sun, and in Chinese mythology, there were ten of them manifested in the form of crows. And when all ten of them decided to show up all at same time, earth got pretty roughed up, until a dude named Hoyi who shot down nine of them and spared the last one.
In ancient time, day cycles were counted through sunrise, and nine sols would mean nine days. This will probably have some kind of significance.
Lastly, if you put the nine 九 and sols 日character together, you would get 旭, which means dawn.
Please please say it's also a pun on cats having 9 lives 🤣
Apparently, the MC's name is "Yi", that's neat!

Love the Taopunk setting. I wonder if the beheading will affect game age rating though? Also personally I would like to see a few more colors, though I like the fact it's easier to tell interactive objects vs background.
@QMOs Oh, I finally realized more specifically what was bothering me about the colors. The enemies and backgrounds have the same color scheme, so they kind of blend in too much. Would be great if they add some contrast.
After seeing the teaser and playing through the beta, I absolutely cannot wait for the release. Keep it up red candle!

I tried the demo and will 100% purchase it upon full release

Just played a part of the demo in a Intel Celeron (2.41 ghz), 4 gb ram and integrated intel graphics, it was running the game at 8 to 10 fps and it took 1 second to do actions like walking, attack, parry, etc, unfortunately the game completely crashed in my first death (and I incredibly survived some long time and killed a lot of enemies, unfortunately I didn't managed to fight any boss or perhaps see a new area if there's one), I think the scenery was so beautiful that my computer couldn't handle it anymore and now keeps dying every time I try to open the game and continue from the first death.
But you know what? *_I don't regret a single second of it._* This game is so good and beautiful that even at the lowest possible it stills impressive and I profoundly loved it, even with the fact that I played it waaaaay below the minimum specs. Great job Red Candle, love y'all + Taiwan is a great country. Looking forward to buy the full game when it launches, someday I will have an good computer and I will do literally everything the game has to offer, I have the urge to 100% this game and I shall accomplish it, *no matter how long it will take to put my hands on a good computer.*

實際上這種很困難的2D橫版過關遊戲不是類魂，而是類銀河戰士惡魔城，終結者莉莉跟空洞騎士同屬這種類型的作品。
總之什麼時候出，我錢已經準備好了
其實不一定，類銀河戰士惡魔城一定要有的要素就是開放的超大地圖、在冒險中會不斷升級獲得新的能力來去探索新的地區，目前的試玩版還沒有這些元素
臺灣遊戲必定支持購買！中國的就絕對不碰。

I beat all the Dark Souls games (not Demon Souls because COME OUT ON PC ALREADY), I beat Sekiro and Jedi Fallen Order. But despite all my get gud skills. I even beat Salt and Sanctuary. I could not finish hollow Knight, got stuck and just could not beat a boss even after 50 times trying. For me there is no hope for this Hollow Sekiro. But good luck guys, it does look good.
