Yup, there is. You can give poison to Shennong and in exchange he'll brew wine for you that increases your health

"A Sol Seal is the greatest symbol of power in the council and a key to unlock the Council Code. It is a Sol's proof of authority.
Yanlao's Sol Seal, containing the character "Jia", signifies legacy."

Yanlao was very intelligent with machines and technology for his age. In his hometown, the materials and parts for his creations came from those of his ancestors from long ago, ancient artifacts worth protecting, yet no one paid attention or made use of them.
Yanlao was the opposite. He saw great potential that the parts can be recycled and reused to make something else, such as weapons, security, and robots big and small. Even Eigong was impressed by his knowledge, earning him the title of the Council's inventor of weaponry. His warehouse grew, with his precious creations and treasures to stay secured. And he made sure it stayed that way for as long the Sols' reign existed.
But his health deteriorated day by day on his work. The bones became fragile, and his body began to weaken to the brink of exhaustion. But he still kept going, not caring if his age got up to him. He had wealth, power and knowledge, as long as no one dared to enter. If one did, he would lecture them and possibly spend hours non stop talking. They say to respect your elders, but this one may not be easy to tolerate. Despite his machinery, he isn't difficult to defeat with a single hacking against his own weapons.
Perhaps that's what made him fall easily. His body now lays in the soil....where his existence comes to an end.

How the bosses are designed resemble the design philosophy of the demigod bosses of elden ring as they both are seemingly based on a boss having a heroic trait that twisted them both mentally and physically.

This fight was pretty fun! Controlling Yi from the perspective of Yanlao's screen was a really fun touch.

He doesn't call especifically after this fight, you have to acquire all the first three Sol seals of the starting area (Kuafu, Goumang and Yanlao seals)

Have you unlocked the unbounded counter?
If so, you could continue exploring the great hall of the factory until you find a turret that shoots crimson bullets. destroying it with your counter will reveal an elevator
