What a complete Striker Supermac was...fast,powerful and what a great header of the ball.
My favourite player of all time.
Greatest centre forward of his era pure class don’t make them like that anymore super mac
Saw him at the Wolves early Seventies..class player Super Mac Super Mac ,👍🇬🇧
I remember in the 70s I had never heard of SuperMac starting his career at Fulham and Luton when he was banging them in for Newcastle and was really surprised to hear he is a Londoner who was born & bred in Fulham and wasn`t a Geordie at all.
One of my favourite all time footballers . Malcolm Macdonald. I was 11 in 1971 and remember when he joined my team Newcastle . Whenever I played footy on my own or in a park I was Macdonald.
I still remember when he left Newcastle, I was gutted. As a young Toon fan he was my first Newcastle hero.
I adored Supermac in my early teens.
It broke my heart when he was sold to Arsenal.
He was my hero as a youngster, utterly adored at NUFC .Always gave it his best.Great man.
Superb Macdonald in every sense!!
Regrettably that's more of a wish than a fact. Evidently injury towards end of 1978 put paid to any legendary status.
Two GREAT players
My first sporting hero as a young gooner in the 70s...
Great player .. had it all ...hard as nails too ..
Supermac black n white legend, one of my first Hero's. What would he be worth in todays transfer market, he was fucking brilliant.
No swearing please.
I remember his glorious winner at Edgar Street Hereford in the 72 FA Cup oh wait a minute ………

This Gentleman was the single most reason why I wanted to become a football player, simply because I watched him score FIVE goals for England vs Cyprus, and one of the goals he actually roofed a header, the complete striker he had everything left foot, right foot, great in the air and pace to burn, the problem is NO ONE today in England or on the planet, bar Christiano had his ability....brilliant🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Fu##ing Cyprus
Legend in every sense of the word
Fantastic interview
Five in one game for England and dropped for the next game, that why England were never successful, Malcolm McDonald was brilliant .
i remember the day they sold him to Arsenal.i was a kid on hols at Butlins.Felt worse than when Elvis died
1st football video i ever bought
Legend at Luton still.
Still got those bandy legs!
He's an Arsenal Legend
Apparently, when the team went back to the dressing room after the Cyprus match, Revie congratulated every England player except Macdonald (Mac's own words). Typical Supermac performance, typical Revie attitude. Alan Ball was a great man-manager.
You weren’t made comfortable... because you took the limelight off everybody else.you were to good for them.
Don Revie was the worst England Team Manager next to Steve McClaren.
Was he
@@user-ym7nc4mg2r What do you mean was he?
