    I've done a lot of work to a number of packs and separating the cyclotron lid was definitely the most nerve wracking thing I've done by far! Good tutorial though marking where the plastic welds were with the tape helped a lot.

    Hey Jono,
    Any chance of you making a video showcasing all of the GP star functions. Like what each menu does, how to change between each one and listing all the separate functions?
    Cause there are some modes or functions in the instructions I don’t quite understand. Like, what is spectral mode?

      I did plan to do some sort of "commercial" like video but perhaps I'll consider your request

    I can't help but think when people are doing all these mods to the Haslab pack it somehow devalues it, the cyclotron is now broken and had to be glued together, same with the wand, you have drill to get to the screws and once opened you have to be extra careful of the wires. This is the reason I bought a Spirit full size pack, so I could mod without damaging the Haslab pack.

  • @TehAnKorage
    @TehAnKorage Před 7 měsíci +1

    This is a fantastic mod. However, for the collector-minded folks, this causes damage to the cyclotron and/or pack as a whole and may devalue its collector value. Just be aware of this. Great tutorial, great mod.

      This is the reason I bought the Spirit full size pack. My 3d printer has been putting in some overtime for all the mods, and I can keep my Haslab the way it was meant to be.

      Yes. Thai video is outdated and several software updates have been released since this. The beeping is customizable in the settings

    Good morning! Will you be doing a video/mod upgrade for the N-filter with smoke by chance? (Love these comprehensive videos!)

    • @jonogunn
      @jonogunn  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I might! But we aren’t selling any smoke kits so my video would be a more of a diy guide (soldering required). But we can sell the 3D printed parts. Dunno if that’s something you’re interested in or if you are just looking for premade kits

    • @tebasak1
      @tebasak1 Před 9 měsíci

      @jonogunn It's been my dream to get a fan to kick on and blowout smoke (not quite as extreme as the Phoenix mod). I've got the Frutto Tech smoke printed kit and you're collab with such a user friendly approach is really appealing. Also, mixing kits is impossible for beginners like me.

    I take it these 5 led cyclotron lights will not work with the stock Hasbro board? Due to the fact that you cannot change from 3 leds to 5 in the menus, because there is no menus with the stock board.

    • @jonogunn
      @jonogunn  Před 8 měsíci

      you are correct. most of the videos you see on my channel are related to the gpstar kit

  • @danielalvarez7100
    @danielalvarez7100 Před 8 měsíci

    If you just want the single LED light sequence that goes clockwise and counter clock wise like 84/89, do you need the Frutto 5 led kit?

  • @ct0760
    @ct0760 Před rokem

    Thank you so much for the video, I just hope that there will be a future terminal video, I was also thinking of blue painting tape to mark the leds
    So if we dont use the glue, the clear discs that go above the lights won't be able to hold the led discs in place?

    • @jonogunn
      @jonogunn  Před rokem

      I don't have the terminal non-solder version but the connections are the same as the solder version. I mentioned which wires connect to which and you just have to screw them into the terminals. When you get yours if you still have trouble reach out to us and we'll help you out
      The clear discs holds it down but while placing them on top your led pcbs will probably move a little and no longer line up. so unless you can get it perfectly lined up it's best to just glue them down first

      I wish there was a reliable person who could mod my pack for me. I have no skills when it comes to this stuff. The pack is my prized possession and I am way too afraid to even attempt taking it apart.

      I haven’t gotten a chance to rip into my pack this deep but I’d look for something that can lay as flush as possible especially since it’s on that same lip where the connection is
