The big big Irony of that match and battering Newcastle gave to Spurs is, (Daniel Levy and Spurs) were the main protagonists against the Newcastle Takeover by the PIF/Saudi's, it was Levy that fought the hardest to stop it.
As a Toon supporter/Fan since 1987 that result gave me so much warmth.

Newcastle are owned by Saudi's - bad. Joe Lewis and News UK (The Sun, Talksport etc.) are very happy fellows.
One tactical element that people seem to miss/ ignore is the Willock/ Joelinton combo. They literally swap roles. Willock will go left wing (his surprising pace can be very dangerous) and Joelinton will slot into midfield- it's such an interesting little thing that they do.
Well said one of favorite tacks he deploys. Allows them to get the best out of both players
Yeah, I love this. They both have the athleticism, engines, willingness to defend and the drive to get forward to play interchangeably and they do it at will. Their tactical understanding of when to do it is clearly well coached.
With immense financial backup from Saudi, any manager would be tempted to spend huge at one go like Potter did.
But no, instead, Howe's "unusual" approach has been more rewarding, not just for the club itself, but also fans and players.
He gave us all that 'story building, zero to hero' feel that made fans love the club even more and the players with high morale and dedication.
Would love to see what comes next under Howe. I hope the good story never ends. HWTL!
Don't think it's Potters fault but a certain Todd B owner stepping in and buying sensational signings.. thankfully the newcastle owners and Howe are sensible.. not overtly spending on sensationals.. as that would dent squad morale and also paralyze the days ahead with FFP.. like what Chelsea have needlessly gotten into cos of one owner ( not manager)

Very well described! His ability to develop players at Bournemouth meant that players like Simon Francis, Charlie Daniels, Marc Pugh etc etc moved from Leagues 1 & 2 to becoming Premier League regulars. He is a seriously good coach and amazing manager and so much better than some of the big name managers who get dropped into the big 6 clubs.

Spot on and absolutely brilliant analysis. Howe deserves huge credit for vastly improving players who had been 'Bruced' and were bottom of the league a little over a year ago.

Some well made points here. What we're also not appreciating so much is how he is also improving the players that have been bought (perhaps a follow up video - 'How are Newcastle buying so well'). Pope, Botman, Bruno and Isak were all good players when they were bought, but under Howe they too are getting much better, some like Bruno are on the verge of being world class. This is harder to see as they were in different teams or even leagues but by looking at a club like Chelsea you can start to appreciate it a little. Consider the individual performance and the impact the team of Newcastle's signings compared to what is happening at Chelsea, where you have undoubtedly talented players like Mudryk just not performing and the team overall really struggling. There is clearly a very careful process to how Howe introduced and then coached players like Bruno, Botman and Isak so they could have maximum impact that is just absent at Chelsea.
Brilliant video for everyone who loves football, all the points you covered are absolutely 100%spot on we’ve seen it with our own eyes and I put similar points on a Spurs podcast asking who does the opposition videos for Spurs🤷♂️ whoever it is they couldn’t see these issues which is astounding when Nufc fans know how it works, having said that it’s easier saying it than stopping it😉

I think you're 100% spot on - Eddie deserves all the praise in the world, but also credit to those previously downtrodden players (not Miggy, he always had a smile on his face), but they have shown they're humble enough to take the coaching on board and to put the hard work in every single day in training to improve. Great Video! Just a suggestion, would it be possible to paint white ball black or something? With markers for players being also white, it doesn't stand out to viewer's eye right away what's supposed to be football and what's supposed to be player.
This analysis is so good. Eddie did all this at "little" Bournemouth and now doing it at Newcastle, a team fabulous to watch with wonderful fans.
Not a little. He took a league 2 team to the premier league with very little money by finding seemingly mediocre players with previously hidden talents.

A modern deep and forward thinking manager, who is meticulous in everything he does from preparation for games, analysis and most importantly his man management. He is 5G compared to Bruce who was barely dial up internet speed. From an unfit, listless and disorganised ramble to what we saw on Sunday.. all in 18 plus months.

Bitter fans of other clubs say it's just money. But 9 players who played against Spurs on Sunday were there before the takeover.

As a toon fan me and my mates sometimes forget we are actually one of the richest clubs in the world and could afford anyones wages/fee but the way Eddie has transformed our current squad is unbelievable, no ridiculously expensive signings either!

Great video. There is so much said about how much money Newcastle have spent, this puts it all in perspective.
The best "how" and not just "why" video on Newcastle I've seen all year. TifoIRL tried to do this on a video just now and it was such a lazy "why" video, nothing to do with "how", I can't take them seriously now.
I think alot of these players also had a chemistry together from the Bruce days it just needed an actual decent coach to unlock their potential

Yep! Bottom club at the start of 2022,, champions league material 16 months later. Thats what a good manager who teaches individual improvement, brings a good game plan & shows belief in his players. The players have responded to Eddie in the most magnificent way possible. They go out & give it their best each week!!!

Every time I think we're light in an area, a player steps up and is transformed. Kraft for Trippier, Murphy for Almiron, Willock for ASM, Longstaff for Shelvey.

Yet he STILL won't get the full credit he deserves. While yes, we've improved too cause of the money, but if you take our example, then look at Chelsea at the moment, or even Spurs. It's only about the money if you're doing well it seems. Yet those two have spent and spent, yet you could argue a lot of their money has been WASTED. It's how you spend it is key.
Plus too, I remember that they laughed at us signing Burn, Targett. Yet players like those have been key for many reasons.

You literally didn't watch the video. The majority of the team was there prior to the takeover. Murphy, Longstaff, Almiron, Joelinton, Schar, Wilson, Manquillo and Lascelles all played yesterday and were all there before Howe. He's made each one better. They've spent on D, one midfielder and 2 attacking players across 3 transfer windows.
And Willock, who's pushing for an England cap now.

I reckon Eddie Howe is a humanist, he had a one on one talk with his players to learn all about their lives so he could treat them differently, family and where they grew up, an interest and that’s why they do what he wants. So that’s why he’s loved at the TOON by all there. Also the fans around the world like me. WE LOVE EDDIE HOWE. He even has a song of the same title, no other manger has that that I know of. Check it out.
