- Ayyy man today Im gonna be giving my pick for Khamzat Chimaev vs Kamaru Usman as the co-main at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, a crazy short notice fight that got me hyped asf for the card. I really think Chimaev is gonna be too big and too powerful for Usman especially on short notice so I detail how I think the grappling will go and why I think Chimaev will KO Usman. Idk man. Usman has been out for 7 months now and he’s been training at kill cliff for a good minute. He’s probably pretty fresh, and if you look at the Gilbert fight, one of the things Chimaev struggled with the most were the straight shots and the jabs, which are two of Usmans best attributes when it comes to his boxing. Not to mention how well Gilbert exploited the uppercut in the clinch, which is something Usman also does extremely well. I got a feeling the Lucas Tracy curse is coming for Khamzat, and Kamaru wins either via TKO in the 3rd or decision.

I truly don’t think Usman is as washed as people think he is. He was def compromised going into the Leon trilogy(which is why Dana rewarded Colby for making weight on short notice, fight was probably in jeopardy). It’ll be a comp fight but I’m still rocking with a khamzat W
Old cobblestone knees Usman is absolutely washed and would get smoked by Belal, Shavkat, Wonderboy or even someone like JDM would have a good chance.

Bro Usman is good if he’s knocked out people at 170 imagine him 10 pounds heavier. Plus Leon is the fastest guy at 170,Khamzat isn’t fast and has 0 head movement.

This is going to depend on if Chimaev can take him down because I think Usman batters him on the feet. I think that his camp for Costa is going to carry over really well here. I don’t he’s going to be prepared for the quality of boxing though
This is a lose lose situation to hamza to be honest. Even if he wins by a competitive decision , people are not gonna be impressed. I know it for a fact. In lot of people's eyes, Usman is washed. (I don't think he is, apart from fked up knees)

Imma def make my final prediction when i see both main and co main on the scales, i do want to see the discrepancy between usman and volk moving up. But my initial thoughts are instead of the usual 10 second td attempt by khamzat, he actually comes flying in brazil style and unloads with strikes. minimal success or lands a solid shot that concerns usman. then it'll be a very stalled first round with clinch work against the fence. round 2 is where it picks up and khamzat does get the finish with maybe charles vs justin type finish, where he rocks usman then subs him.

Im not understanding why ppl keep pointing out that Usman got dropped by Burns when Burns dropped Khamzat twice 🤔 Oh not to mention Usman finished Burns when Khamzat couldnt even come close. MMA math I know but the reasons arent adding up.
You can argue Khamzat made that fight into a brawl and that’s why he got dropped whereas Usman was being technical and got rushed by Burns and got hurt. Also, bro, round 3.. Khamzat does nearly finish him against the fence lol
