Two weight cuts in a short amount of time (along with probable jet lag from being in Vegas a week before this fight while Whitaker was in Saudi Arabia for awhile) isn’t exactly an invalid excuse but Ikram had to take the risk and he came up short unfortunately.
I don’t think losing a short notice fight against one of the best middleweights on the planet as an unranked fighter takes anything away from his stock though. I’m sure he’ll only get better from here on out.
