I think it’s more so people realizing that Leon Edwards wasn’t the better fighter that night, but he won if that makes sense. A good example would be Chael Sonnen vs Silva . @@Gfckin9 well you Gotta factor in that Usman is planning to wrestle fuck the shit out of Leon and Only box to set up his takedowns that will make Leon extremely hesitant to throw kicks so he doesn’t get taken down. But I see your point in 25 minutes anything can go down
Nah there have been some lucky KOs. Matt Hughes accidentally KO'd himself once 😂 I think the difference is intention as Belal kind of said. Leon intended to land that head kick and did, so by definition it isn't luck. Others have KO'd people with strikes they didn't actually intend to land, which is luck as it is random chance. Even Yair meant to land that elbow and attempted it multiple times in the fight, so again not luck.
@Dion Pierre like he's acting like Usman got caught coming in. Usman took the foot off the gas and Leon knew he can feint Usman into lowering his head, they practiced it. Was just perfect, Usman should win on Saturday but it just shows how little Rogan actually watches fights to me
Usman wasn’t circling away when that kick was thrown or even slightly before, he stood right in front of Leon and tried to parry the setup punch and got smoked
Usman didn’t circle away he actually circled into the kick. Leon is a southpaw so Usman should’ve been circling the opposite direction away from Leons strong side. Not that I am trying to tell him what to do lol
People say the kick was lucky but the way he did it was skillful. He threw out his left to block Kamaru's vision and held it there long enough to get the high kick there right behind it. Great technique.
The left also made Usman slip to his right, which made the kick land with much more impact. Completely intentional and he set it up throughout the fight. A lot of people are clueless!
I hate this UFC narrative of Usman won the fight just got caught. That’s literally some fighters entire style.
