I'm a super newbie.....have never done art so inktense is new to me. I love not only watching tutorials for painting but learning about all the products out there. Sure have a lot to learn! lol. Tfs

That’s such a fun Black Friday haul! Such a diverse selection of items 😊, I got some inktense pencils last year for Christmas. I really enjoy them, but probably haven’t used them as much as I could. I’ve been tempted by both the Sennelier oil pastels and the neocolour II, but so far have they haven’t made it into an order. I think watercolour journals are so beautiful when they’re new too… so full of promise!
For BF, my local art store had a sale on tubes of MaimeriBlu watercolour paint, Princeton brush sets and Faber Castell polychromos pencils. So, I went “Christmas shopping” to help my husband with his shopping and everything is wrapped so I can’t even see it until Christmas. With “my” money, I ordered a 6-pack of Pitt graphite pencils and a small 12-half pan set from Jackson’s Black Friday / Watercolour sale and those are the only 2 items I can have now.
That was my last hurrah of art supply purchases. I’m heading into a significantly-reduced year of art spending. Time to use what I have!
I definitely feel like this art haul is out of my usual range of what I would try, I am spicing it up a little haha! Hopefully it gets me out of my comfort zone a little and trying new things. That sounds like productive Christmas shopping, I love the polychromos! Good thing I didn't check Jackson's, if I was aware of the "watercolor sale" I would be in big trouble lol!
Love the title of your video ‘Alexis buys even more art supplies’ LOL! We’ve all been there and done that and I’m still looking and creating wish lists! Fun supplies and look forward to seeing your future artwork. The Sennelier oil pastels color range is gorgeous. The reds, blues, and lilac/lavender stood out. The Inktense range of colors is also very nice. I have some Inktense too. I haven’t used them in ages. Traditional watercolors have taken over my life!
My lists are never ending! Oh well, at least it creates more ideas for the channel! I love the oil pastel set. I am excited to try it but also a bit nervous since I don't use oil pastels and the only time I did was for school projects. I love watercolor and I'm surprised I didn't buy much for watercolor for black friday, but there is always christmas👀
@@AlexisCassandraArt I’ve noticed that no matter what, if the artist can draw, they will produce original, unique, and interesting artwork. So I know you’ll produce something interesting with the oil pastels. Although watercolor can be tricky I enjoy it so much!

You made some great choices! Neopastels are so fun. They are one of my favorites. If you’re concerned about them getting messed up you might want to keep those in the tin. I have mine in a designated pencil bag and I regret it. Some have gotten broken and scuffed. I’m trying to figure out a better way to store them since I bought mine open stock. They’re not messy to use though. The intense are also great and the oil pastels are really nice. You’ll really enjoy them all.
I had my eye on those neopastels forever! I figured it might be a good idea to keep them (and the oil pastels) in their tin/box so that they don't get broken! Maybe you can find an empty tin from somewhere, like a local art shop? Gaaaah I am excited to try everything

To open tins, at one corner, put you thumb on top of the lid and prise the edge up with your fingers, easy. I bought some Pablo's.

Lol I love your chatty cat. I just did a haul video, too, but I'm going on a no buy starting Jan 1!! I have so much stuff already. I was sorely tempted by those oil pastels. I used to love them when I was younger, and it would be fun to get back into them again. But instead I'm getting into sculpting! I love my Paul Rubens sketchbook, so I hope you enjoy yours. My cat has some opinions about my spending😂 I know a lot of people are doing no buy. Maybe I will conveniently wait until my birthday ends in February LOL. Sculpting is a whole other talent and skill and I admire you for that! So excited to have a watercolor journal now:) thank you for watching
Hi Alexis, I love everything you got. Don't worry I am still making videos/testing from Pre-Black Friday and Cyber Monday and now the holidays as Amazon keeps having sales daily. I saved some of my art items to open for 24/25 Christmas Eve/Day. You will love the Sennelier items they are so creamy..I got the 12 intro set but when I buy new ones it will be the landscape one or open stock bigger ones. i would love those oil pastels, they are on my to buy list, but im doing a no buy supply thing this year so unless someone gets me them as a gift, it will have to wait lol

Hi just subscribed, I bought 2 of those paul rubens sketch book, the paper is beautiful but where the serated part is the pages begin to bend with use and crease on that serated part which is really annoying so I wouldn't buy again. I wish they would do one without the perforations, I don't know anyone that would want to rip out their artwork and leave an edge in the book. Loved the video
