See those black arrows on the wrapper? They are for peeling away just a portion of the wrapper as you use up the crayon. It’s slightly perforated so it tears cleanly. Sharpen the shavings into a cheap plastic palette, wet them, and use it like paint. They are so much fun
thank you, that makes sense! I am still afraid of sharpening them, but I may get to that point eventally😂
I love these crayons soooo much! I bought a bunch of open stock and then a small set for travel and they just never disappoint!
They are the best thing ever! I'm so glad they are available open stock:)
The artwork is beautiful! I'm glad you enjoyed them because I sure do! By the way, I finally sent out your Tri-Tone colored pencils today. They should be showing up by Monday if USPS is accurate. Thanks, Alexis!
Oh wow, I'm so excited to try out the tri-tone colored pencils! Thank you for sending them out:) That is going to be really interesting. And yes, Neocolor IIs are the real deal!
Love the scene. Thank you for making my rainy day better❤
I'm glad to hear:) thank you for watching as always!
Yay for Neocolor 2’s but wahhh for broken crayons! 😭 I keep the cardboard covers too, and they’re all over my studio in random places. I need to find them all and store them together, lol. The way these crayons dissolve in water is always such a pleasure to watch…it never gets old! I love how your landscape turned out, it’s beautiful! That last little shrub really finished it off. 💚
I know, big wahh for the aesthetic of the video because one was broken😂but thats okay! Thank you, that landscape definitely needed that extra something at the end. I love these crayons so far and I'm so excited to use them again!
I agree they look very similar to crayons. Many make videos where they compare the cheap crayons with expensive ones and they use these for the expensive brand.
Watersoluble is the biggest standout for this set! I think if I got some Neocolor 1s I could compare them to crayons too
looks like you had a lot of fun after the initial hesitation!
They are wonderful!
The crayons still work even if they're broken. I break a lot of mine on purpose. The only thing that's frustrating is I had a black one that kept breaking into 1 cm sized pieces, really too small to hold. I'm sure if you wrote to Caran d'ache they'd send you a replacement,. Also tip: with the Neo IIs, I do recommend you keep the paper on. I took the paper off some of mine, and because they're water soluble, they tend to rub off on your fingers. Another suggestion: buy a few more open stock, rather than a larger set. A lot of the colors end up being very similar. I do LOVE LOVE LOVE my Neocolors! I hope you will love them too! I prefer to use them dry on colored paper. I prefer them to soft or oil pastels, although sometimes I do still use those.
Yeah, it is definitely not a big deal that the white is broken. Now that I taped it especially. I think you're right about keeping the paper on. I love these so much so far. Thank you for all of your tips❤
The sleeve has a swatch chart on the other side.
Yes! Its always fun to make your own also :)
Why were you terrified 😂you can get small sets as well if you want to add on colours
I'm scared of pastels😂 i LOVE these though, might need to get more colors...
I don't know if you've tried/known about this trick, but at least with broken lipsticks you can up the broken ends with a hairdryer so that it melts a little, before you stick them back together and clean up around those edges. Then you stick them in freezer en you're done. Hopefully that trick works with these crayons as well! Fingers crossed 🤞
That is smart, i have heard of people doing that with lipstick! Lets see if I am ever brave enough to try to fix my neocolor
I have a taped Neocolor II too.
I am sure I'll end up with more like that after some use😂
At least you can buy a separate one open stock 🤗
Hai alexis, saya dari Indonesia. Saya mau bertanya, yang mana lebih bagus neo colour 2 atau neo colour 1.
thank you for watching!
The tin sleeve has a swatch card on the underside of it!
ah yes you're correct, I do still love making my own to go alongside with it, but glad I kept the sleeve!
can you spray Fxative on it so it won't smear?
You absolutely can!
I have the Caran d'Ache 20 Museum Watercolour pencils not sure about Wax Pastels.
I have the museum aquarelles too:) I have a couple videos about them from 2022 if that interests you! love those ones
@@AlexisCassandraArt Yes fantastic pencils. Looking at your demonstration, I could not see much difference between, pencils and crayons, is this a fair comment, or would you recommend buying the crayons as well and please explain why. Thank you.
it doesn't matter if any sort of pastel breaks, they still do the same job 🤷♀
Very true. Broken pastels are not a big deal, until they start to break even smaller
It matters a lot if it's a brand new tin, 4 of 15 are broken, and too small to be of any use.

Yeah I'm not impressed when I lay them on dry and activate them.
no?I am curious what issues you have. i dont have a lot of experience with this type of product
