After installing the new blend door actuator(s) you new to recalibrate the ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) so it knows the limits of the new actuator(s). To do this , remove fuse numbers 20 and 28 (10 amp fuses) from the fuse box under the dash above the emergency brake . After one minute, put the two fuses back in and you will hear the two blend door actuators moving and automatically recalibrating the system.

this appears to be for the temperature blend door not the vent mode actuator. do you have one for vent mode? in particular for the one that has dual zone climate control. TiA

Hello 2005 Ford Expedition blows hot air from the front vents and no ac and not blowing to floor or defrost when I change the mode. The air only comes out through the front vents. I replace the blend door actuator already but the same thing. Is there a mode selection actuator that I need to change to or is vacuumed? Thanks in advance.

My 2010 explorer is blowing cold out of the defrost vents, floor vents, & rear vents however not the front vents towards me. This is 7/10 times as sometimes my front vents do work as they should. I can’t seem to find a hose leak/crack. Could this be my issue?

Firstly, I am not an expert so I highly advise you to look at other forums and such just so you can do what you think is best. Now, off the bat I'd say it is probably your actuator since you're getting hot and cold air. One thing you can do to check is get in the car turn it and the a/c fan on then slowly turn your temp dial while listening for a click or thunk coming from near where the actuator is. If you hear that then it's probably the actuator or at least involves the actuator. Also worth noting is it could be one spot on the temp dial or 99% of the temp dial that causes the sound and it may take a second to start. Also you may want to adjust the fan speed just so you can hear it. Hope this helps

It might need to be calibrated. Try disconnecting the battery for 2+ minutes and reconnecting. Should go into calibration mode. If that doesn't work, make sure there isn't a more specific procedure for calibration. If it still doesn't stop freespinning the blend doors themselves could be bad/ broken and not be stopping the actuator as it spins. That's unlikely, though. You got this.
