    The Keystone Cougar and Jayco White Hawk haven't historically been considered comparable products. But, after some recent updates I came to realize they've really come to find themselves head-to-head in nearly the exact same market segment.
    They accomplish many of the same goals, but often in extremely different ways. And of course each has their unique little quirks and features found lacking in the other.
    This video comparing these two premium "Ultralite Plus" travel trailers here at Haylett RV is quite long. But if you're serious about making a purchase of one or the other, then you'll no doubt appreciate Josh the RV Nerd's in-depth look at these two stellar brands!!
    Here are some links to the two specific RVs used as a reference during this video:
    * Cougar 34TSB • 2021 Cougar 34TSB Trip...
    * White Hawk 29BH • Carpetless & Hot/Cold ...
    They're drastically different models. I wasn't worried about similar floor plans since we're discussing general brand differences

    Josh: This is a GREAT way to compare two very good brands of RV's from different manufactures or divisions of the same company. With literally hundreds of very similar looking towable campers to choose from, a non-professional full time shopper does not have a chance to make the correct decision for their particular situation, wants and needs! This then, really is very helpful.
    I would like to suggest one additional piece of information that would make the review process complete. In the "Show More" Section, add a Link to a document that lists the differences and similarities in two columns. No detail. Just the List of Items. The details can be found at a document listed timestamp of the associated video!
    Now this will take considerable time to accurately cross-link the two sources of information. And we, your Subscribers, all know and love you as the guy in front of the camera! This extra step cannot reduce your on-camera time and variety! Therefore, this documentation must be handled by one of your secretarial staff!
    Keep them coming buddy!🎯

No backing up when new at this, my husband was a truck driver so use pull-throughs request when making a reservation or get a camper that has a nice big one an older man, more experience and control.

    The frozen water story. 2019 29BHS, heated water hose, heat wrapped water connection into the ground and it was covered. The heated water hose does not allow the cover outside on the camper to close. Left the water on to drip but only cold not hot. The plastic connectors in the panel froze for 4 days. No leaks, no broken fittings. I was using a 30lb tank of fuel every 2 days heating at 70 it was so cold. I had a line froze this year before I winterized and no issues again.

    Uncle Josh, we SOOOO appreciate all the hard work you do in these comparison videos; though, to be honest, it makes the decision process more difficult! In a good way, of course! It's always nice seeing how diff mfg approach the same prob differently. Have leaned toward the Cougar product, but, your comparison makes me re-think some of my impressions.
    SUGGESTION: Would love seeing a hitch comparison for TT and 5er, if possible. For newbies (or relative newbies), the hitch can be confusing. Maybe, show good, better, best hitch options for diff size (smaller, medium and higher wgt) units, which might benefit (or not) from sway control, etc. You do a fanDAMNtastic job of this type of comparison (good vs bad, er NOT so bad). You give fair reviews of your RVs, are very thorough, and explain differences from a "personal preference" perspective, rather than a bias. The only thing that I wish were mentioned were weight and even ballpark price or something like, "the cougar will generally cost a few thousand more (which is pretty insignificant when you are financing a big rig like these models). 13:00 You are dead on with the stability of manual stabilizer jacks vs. electric ones. We have the electric ones on our ‘16 324CG Outback and even though they’re easy, they simply do not work as great. Worse still, is that Keystone installed them on a C-channel below the I-beam to make room for under belly items (like gas lines) and because of this the C-channel brackets flex and allow you to feel bouncing. I installed sone SteadyFast arms and it didn’t minimize it very much. I called and spoke to the owner and he said it’ll hard pressed to get a solid foundation feel because of those C-channel extensions. FWIW, SteadyFast is great hardware and the owner is super responsive, so this is not a negative review of those.

We pulled the chairs away and stood and you could definitely feel a “soft spot” right where the chair sits. It flexes quite a lot. My husband looked underneath and there are braces in the corners but not in the exact spot where it flexes. He put a bottleneck jack under it and it helps a little but I feel like we shouldn’t have to do that. Other then that we love our 2019 trailer!

With that said, I and all of us who are considering a purchase of either of these two RV brands would like to see more detailed information about their holding tanks [especially the black water flush system - the worst job to do during any camping trip] and the water heater; both capacity and ability to keep water hot during the use of the shower - plus - the size of the shower. By that I mean a lot of showers in other RV's end up being too small to be able to move around as you need to do to get a good refreshing shower. Looking forward to your reply and hopefully a new video add-on / or Part 2 to this one: DiDo

      I second this response! I too wonder which brands of RV's have the best plumbing for all seasons, especially which are the best winter setups/ packages & for hot seasons! The biggest showers & shower-tub combos especially because it seems like 90% of RV's have shower only! Some of us can't live without a tub combo to soak in a nice hot bath with some essential oil & epsom salt after a long hard day of work! Can't manage that in a shower. Also which have the instant hot water heaters & the macerating toilets? Residential sized appliances for families & Which brands has the best quality family style furniture for convertability & durability & all those great things...
      Thank you so much for all your amazing videos! 👏 I subscribed & watch your videos often, I hope you can get to a few of my responses so I can figure out some things in question before we go buy a newer RV for our work travels. We need all weather durability, 1/2 ton towable for F-150 truck, sleeping space for 2-4 people +1 blue heeler dog, we would prefer shower-tub combo (large bathroom & kitchen counter, cabinets & appliances, with the most possible storage- no nook or cranny wasted!) Another question, is there a 1/2 ton RV that has a small spot for at least a 2 in 1 combo washer- dryer unit? 🤔
      Much appreciated all the videos and information you help provide all of us across the states! 🇺🇸 Thank you so much for all your hard work & keeping it 💯% real & also staying lively, family friendly & funny too! 😁

    Great! duh- bubble review/comparison, Josh!
    I, being a Libra (no, I don't really believe in that stuff), would go nuts trying to decide between these two rigs. My scales would flop around til they broke! I do lean towards the WhiteHawk only because of just one slide...dinette/theater seats. No overloaded, in my opinion, kitchen slide. Like you said...different paths to the same conclusion. Both rigs are really nice!
    ALTHOUGH!.......
    Just watched a video on the new WhiteHawk...Jayco White Hawk 27RK Travel Trailer. THAT is a great looking rig! The bathroom in that is awesome! Plenty of elbow room for "paperwork"! Still don't like the miniature ovens, or the glass cabinet inserts but, not a deal breaker. I do like the rear kitchen on the 27RK. The true queen is more than enough for me and my 66lb canine. Yes, she sleeps on the bed!
    Yep! I sequed! Anyway, both rigs in your comparison are really nice TTs. But, and you should check it out, the WH 27RK is my current #1.

    OUTSTANDING. I watched every minute. Videos like this are exactly what every smart buyer is doing. Trying to compare the differences between similar RVs, but instead of spending weeks or even months trying to find out all these details, you provide them in one place. HUGE deal for me is.....construction. How are they built. What is in the floor. Is the back wall laminated? Suspension and frame. People on the forums also ask about construction and there are rarely answers. You shared the differences in this video. The Cougar 22MLS with two seating areas, King bed, larger shower and 5,750 dry weight really has me interested. I am hoping it is available with 50 amp service not just for two AC units, but because my wife likes her microwave and hair dryer while I like my AC and coffee pot so we fight over power on a 30 amp trailer....You are the best, Josh.
