  • so far, this 4 stroke needs a lot of mods for it to do what a YD100 can do.... maybe it's more reliable but performance is sub par. I have a few more mods to do(56t sprocket, torque converter or 3D motorsport manual clutch) before I am finished with it.

      Thanks. It still need a little more torque but it's slowly getting there👍🏾

      @@mybikes1970 I noticed you said the head is ported now....if you haven't done a valve job yet this will make as much power as porting will... have a 4angle cut on the valve seats and 2angles cut on the valve face and have it surfaced to raise the compression...if you do that in addition to what you have already done it will be a beast...oh yeah and the cam also...

      @@dannyoutlaw720 thanks for the advice 👍. Right now, I am at stage1lol ,but I might decide to step it up with the things you mentioned because I want more low end torque for the longer hills I need to climb.

      @@dannyoutlaw720 I didnt want a 212cc(too big) and I don't really want to go over 50mph++, just enough torque to get me up hills without pedalling 😂 I might try the valve job, but I'll need to buy the tool or send it to the states get done. Thanks again for watching 👍🏾

      Thanks 👍🏾 the first attempt wasn't so nice lol I was going to shut it down and walk up the hill! It's actually getting better but it still needs a few mods.

      @@catsbyondrepairI like the manual clutch for the 4strokes but it cost too much.

    Sounds like that thing screams can I ask you a question how reliable are those 50 KTM Motors

    • @mybikes1970
      @mybikes1970  Před rokem

      The KTM motor is very reliable. 1500 miles and still going strong.

  • @wrongturnmotorizedbikes4604

    I'm building one. Removed the governor. Still got to install the 18lb springs and billet flywheel on mine. Also have the intake and carb from ABK. What gearing are you using?

    • @mybikes1970
      @mybikes1970  Před 2 lety

      The gearing from clutch to the rear wheel(4 sprockets) is 11t to 22t. 22t to 9t(jackshaft) and 9t to 48t(rear wheel)I also use a 3000rpm clutch spring. I might change to a 50t rear for more low end torque. Good luck with your build👍🏾
