You mentioned the doors, if you take a look at the Camrys you'll see they are very different as the ES300 doors are pillarless. Awesome car man, I want some wheels like these for my ES300, looks good.

@gloopington very nice!! Yeah mine has a leaking valve cover gasket as well but I'll be replacing everything from suspension to engine maintenance components to make the car run like new again. Check out parts geek! They have a lot of parts for our cars
she's beautiful mate I am in NSW and I have the exact same model/colour black interior in immaculate condition (super rare option) so so clean much cleaner than your interior (basically new) front lowered on kings springs sitting on a nice set of is200 17 inch sports wheels (in my opinion best wheels for this car - really suits it) , I love the car bought at 220,000kms and now at 227k , before it I had a 2004 es300 , I sold that as I honestly prefer the body style of this gen 3 more , one of the sleekest cars ever made , perfect lines.. this model has a better gearbox and drive feel than the 2004 model gen 4 , the 2004 model felt very electronic however is Much MUCH smoother on the road than this model (also has a nicer interior) , this model is a bit like a Camry but let Me tell you.. the 2004 model was NOTHING LIKE A CAMRY - yes I have driven the 2005 Camry v6 and my 2004 model es300 and it's a night and day difference trust me
PS I'm a Toyota and Lexus enthusiast and Fan boy haha , have owned many with the legendary 1mzfe engine , I currently also own a done up 4x4 turbo diesel hilux (my profile pic) and a JDM import 2001 TOYOTA CALDINA GTT awd turbo sports wagon as a weekend car , god I love the 3sgte engine that's in that thing (same as mr2 turbo and celica gt4 rally engine)
@@ert-wert No that is false, I can tell you from first hand experience owning both generations 3rd and 4th of es300 that the 3rd gen Gearbox is much better and has no electronic shifting issues , I have also done extensive research online on forums where everyone has had issues with 4th gen es300 gearboxs (electronic not mechanical) , the 3rd gen feels much better to drive and has the more reliable gearbox. JUST MAKE SURE THE 3RD GEN DOES NOT HAVE VVTI (those have a different gearbox - bad)

@@ert-wert In america the 1999 to 2001 models 3rd gen es300s came out with the 1mzfe VVTI engines and u140e transmissions which are notorious for having issues and failing , here in Australia the 1999 to 2001 model 3rds gens we have did not come with these vvti engines and gearboxes that you guys got , my 1999 model comes just like the older model es300s (1997/98) with NO VVTI and the bullet proof A541E gearbox , my advice is change your transmission fluid regularly and just baby it , don't thrash around your car , keep it at low rmps say between 2 and 3k rpms when driving (lower the better) she will be alright

@@datwai746 the gasket? The kit ranges from $20 to $50 depending on where you look, as for labor costs I’m going to be doing it at home so I’m unsure.

Are you aware of the trans that Is in the 3rd gen? From what I understand, the 4th gen is way better
