- One does not simply motor off six thousand miles without some preparation. A simple pocket handkerchief does not count. And I've added a lot more than that! Hopefully, I don't go too far overboard though. For, at some point, ready or not, I am attempting the Great Loop!

Five years since the boat purchase? That means I've been watching you for probably eight years... Unbelievable how the time goes.
That’s what I was thinking! Time flies!

Beautifully designed and done by Marty! So glad you kept your original concept which was your imaginative design and simply made it rain proof (knock on wood) lol. As I look around there are a lot of improvements, can't wait for you to share them with us. Good to see the hard work and progress paying off...until the next update, take care, stay safe.

Thank you Marty:) The smell of the chemicals doing fiberglass work is just great memories for me, helping my Dad work on cars as a kid. The work you did looks great, as does the boat! I'm ready for the trip in my chair in front of the computer:) I really want to see the jet motor in action!!!!
Looking good Marty! Anxiously awaiting the turbo kayak, lol!!!
Nice job on the boat upgrades. That top should come in very handy throughout the trip for sure. Can't forget the solar panels also. Thanks for sharing this and look forward to the next video.

So excited to see this journey!
Kon - Tiki. You are better prepared than Thor Heyerdahl was on his Kon - Tiki raft. Happy travels. I grew up in Norway, and had the fortune of meeting Thor Heyerdahl at the Kon-Tiki museum in Oslo. He was grandfather of one of my classmates.
Cant wait to see you take off on the Great Loop. I was on Lake Pickwick (Tennessee River) and saw the GL map at a marina. I had no idea that was a thing. That will be a hell of a trip!
Just marathoned your older adventures, looking forward to this one. Was thinking of asking if you were going to do this one. I vicariously stoked.
Best wishes on your journey brother.
Really cool can't wait to see what the adventure has instore for you
Amazing content!!!, cant wait for more
That’s AUsome! I’d love that trip.😎
Great video!! Keep em coming.
What an adventure to look forward to.
I absolutely love that tiki style setup that is unique
Wow that's Awesome! I've always wanted to navigate up the eastern seaboard and cross the Erie canal. I will definitely be following. I have a back ground history in operating tow boats along the ICWW from Houston, TX. to Mobile Bay up the Tombigbee River. Enjoy I'm sure it will be a very long and rewarding trip.
Can't wait brother hope all is well with you !
Awesome, looking forward to this!
Wow crazy, i remember when you got the boat and made that video. Keep up the great work!
Good luck pal. Have fun.
Awesome adventure!

OMGGGGGG this is the coolest freaking idea!!! Hoping you have the most incredible journey, stay safe, enjoy it, and I’d love to meet up & maybe kayak fish when you make it up here to NY!
This means I’ve been watching you for 6 years. Crazy
6yrs ago and I can remember you fishing for sheepshead with oysters
Great to see you're going to make the loop! I have the same Chris Craft Catalina 310 (which brought me to your channel). Will be great to see how she does going up the coast. You'll have to stop by when you hit the TN River. Best of luck Marty
Cool channel- looking forward to more!
I love that boat!
can't wait to this this adventure unfold. Im in Illinois near Morris on Illinois River cant wait to see you. ive just purchased a 22 ft deck boat, that I have big plans for enclosing and heading to the gulf...maybe I'll be ready when you come through here.
I can smell it through the camera. you poor chap, good job on getting it done.
I love all the DIY you do. Too many people just buy the easiest or have someone else do it for them
Good on you Marty!
How fun! I hope you have a great journey, Marty. Let me know when you're passing through Wilmington, NC - Beer's on me! :D
Thought I heard 'Kon Tiki III'? Wow!, awesome! Way to go, Marty. We are w/ you. This trip is going to be INTERESTING! for us armchair explorers.
Zoffinger your my kayak mentor you inspire me thank you
Very creative Marty. Nice work, suspect it will draw a lot of positive conversation on the loop. Hope to run into you when you get up my way.
If you come down through Peoria IL on the Illinois River get ahold of me. We love living on the loop. Always seeing adventurers coming through.
Hey Marty. Love your channel! I am on a similar journey. I sold my house and I live aboard. Unfortunately, I am in the midwest, so it's a bit cold at the moment. Looking forward to your Loop adventure videos.
The roof idea is interesting. I recently watched some other guy who coated plywood style foam boards with 1 thin layer of fiber making an invisible yet ridged surface. It significantly!!! improved its strength. I guess one advantage the coated foam boards could have is insulation if it were cold.
Marry be safe my man. We'll all be watching. Better dress warm. No Florida weather up here. You inspired me, and I've DIY'd my jonny bass boat 100, watching you. 2.5 suzuki, scotty outriggers. Small 30lb thrust trolling Minn-kota off her bow. I only weigh 145lbs, so she moves. She'll be my 1st and last. Good platform. Be safe God bless Marty..
Marty, when you get to Peoria, let me know. I would love to meet you there.
Great progress!!!! Can't wait!!! :P
Nice video bro, Looks like the trip will be fun:)
Neat boat!
Sweet bro, I'll try to come see you when you get to Lake St Clair in MI.
Right on Mr. Marty do it while your young enough to enjoy it. No one tells you when to run, don't miss the starting gun
Great new/old project.
