Preparing canoe

Just a little clip of how I make ready the canoe to head out on the water. I never leave the motor on the canoe. Too many thieves around Cedar Rapids. I had one stole. I am not going to loose another. The canoe is light enough to roll around the yard and hook it up to the car.

I can't wait to see more! I am putting together a 5hp canoe setup this summer. Want to be able to launch myself, go upstream for a picnic in the park, and then drift back to my put-in/take-out point. Never ran an outboard tho so looking to youtube the great teacher :D

That is what I do. Everywhere I go, I have to get back to where I started. So a motor is great. I am like you. I motor up stream and float or paddle back down. Its the best of both worlds. Let me know how it works out.
