- I decided to tackle this great Electric Light Orchestra song from the 1970s. I actually played this song when it was on the charts back in the 70s. I really tried to get all the instrumentation as close as possible for a "ONE" keyboard backing track. Drums, Bass, 3 types of strings, 2 Choirs, intro synth sound, Telephone pulse tone,, and Electric piano layered with a grand piano. I cant sing like Jeff Lynne, but my Harmonizer helps me on those high parts. Harmony was done entirely through my Digitech Vocalist Pro rack set to vocoder midi note mode. Everything you hear was arranged by me entirely on the Yamaha MOXF6 keyboard. No software or daw was used. I gig as a solo act in SW Florida and play all the songs I post on youtube

thank you! I too am a fan and have played a few ELO tunes in my many bands since the 70s. I've been doing a solo for the past 32 years. Decided to throw a few tunes together for my gigs. ELO is very hard to cover as a solo unless you strip the song down. Strange Magic and Telephone Line are doable with my keyboard sequencer to get them close. Thank you for watching and commenting

thank you, the pandemic has really hit me hard with my gigs. I play big function with 300-500 people, and they buy tickets ahead of the show. But those shows have been cancelled since last March. A couple health issue (cervical disc replacement, Shoulder replacement, but I'm feeling good enough to make a few videos. I appreciate you watching my videos.
Nice job. You are as good on keys as guitar. Would you consider doing a cover of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence"? You may do a good job?
