One thing I really appreciate about Emily is that when she talks about a drugstore product being great she means it. She uses it. Unlike the major majority she doesn’t just say it’s great but acts too good to actually use it on the regular. I quit high end about 10 years ago and realized how much money I was spending on a name and a “pretty package” instead of an actual product my mind was blown. She’s real.

I don’t suggest skipping her videos😂 I’m just saying, that’s how excellent her recommendations are. You don’t even have to see how they perform, but can just take her word for it. Not a lot of influencers you can trust like you can Emily.
Jessica Braun and Taylor Wynn are two others that are as great as Emily and brand deals and stuff don’t influence their decisions and what they tell their viewers. It’s just all their honest thoughts.

I’m so glad you picked up those Nyx multi sticks. Man those are good! Pink peach orange flesh tones and they really melt into the skin while providing good coverage. It even works beautifully as a contour and these contour sticks are getting smaller and smaller so this is about what you get with those in amount and the shade range is great.
Danessa Myrick products are really nice for aging skin. That foundation sounds and looks amazing for 40 up especially. We lose a tremendous amount of moisture in our 40’s and dehydrated skin creates more fine lines to be emphasized or more pronounced or even appear when you don’t typically have them, and all that fun stuff. To have products that keep the moisture while having more staying power than traditional creams then it’s a win win.
Laura Gellar is another fire brand with those baked products she makes. I’ve been using the balance and brighten for two decades I think and since they’ve expanded the shades I finally got the one I needed- just took me ten years.😂

I also use the Laura Geller powder foundations lightly as a setting powder. The 'baked balance and glow" brightens me up a bit without being over the top. LOVE the kajal eyeliners!! They are gorgeous and really stay put.

That PF bronzer looks like Kat V D’s liquid bronzer at the tone, blend and ease of use. I can’t believe how well it blended over powder too. I highly recommend you revisiting the PF Instaready concealer in the tiny pump with the pink baby sponge. That formula is so good and it gives full coverage while looking like skin, so great for the under eyes and we know how hard it can be to find a good under eye concealer. I am also a big fan of those Nyx pro sticks. I got like 4 different shades because it is great as a brightener, contour, corrector and skin color (excellent shades they have) for blemishes and under the eyes.
I love that you incorporate Elf camo concealer. I used the OG camo concealer today and it’s still a solid drugstore option that’s full coverage and still one if my favorites!
The fact that I own (or plan to own) so many of these speaks volumes that you’re the one I watch and trust for recommendations!

I need to pick up that foundation. I have dry, sensitive skin. My all-time favorite is Face Atelier Ultra Foundation, but I can see the Danessa Myricks yummy skin being another good option. Her products are incredible. You can tell her line is developed by a makeup artist.

Neutrogena healthy volume mascara is one of my all time faves! You can even build it up later in the day if you want to add more drama. It’s so good and easy to remove. I feel like no one talks about it.
I love that new elf eye brow pencil too. It’s really quick and does last longer. Love you Emily. How was the cheer competition. I was a dancer and use to coach and judge cheer/ dance teams in my younger days. So much fun and so much of an opportunity to learn and grow for everyone involved. You never stop learning and I also found there is no problem that cannot be solved with creativity. There is always more than one way to fix things. 🦄

Revlon.. you have the Skin Light highlighters & bronzers. Why not Skin Light blushes ? Surely a radiant blush would be pretty and perhaps even dupes to some more expensive brands 🤔
I’m trying to find the perfect foundation for our daughter’s August wedding . I’m realizing that it’s true our skin does really change . I’m in my mid forties now but not getting the coverage with my current product . I use Shine Cosmetics Skin Perfector BB cream for my foundation and Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Multi Use concealer . My skin is definitely drying the older I get

I use the balance and brighten as daily foundation. I use the NYX pump concealer to cover any issues on skin and the powder foundation perfection top. It is perfect for 50 yr old dry skin

Is Mabeline prerfector primer is the best!!! It pairs well with almost Every foundation I use period gives my skin a smooth glow without enhancing my pores. They knocked it out of the park on this one!

I gotta get that Physicians Formula bronzer and the Nyx concealer. Have you noticed a lot of the bronzers no matter what the form gets caught in your hair line and no matter how much you blend, you have this line stuck in your hair line. I always notice that on beauty creators, people out and about in town and I’ve struggled with it myself, but that blended in the hair line so naturally and evenly that she didn’t have that at all. It was just even everywhere. Gotta get it now!
That was over powder too. I’m so impressed. I am a huge fan of that CG cactus water. Man it is glowy but it is awesome at layering before makeup and then after if you need a decent amount of hydration. That Revlon Sun Lights is a dupe for the Bobbi Brown highlighter that like $45. You can’t tell the difference.
Pretty look. Love your channel. That Hard candy eyeshadow stick looks just like Victoria Beckham’s eyeliner pencil in Cinnamon which also has staying power ! But Hard Candy is a fraction of the price of VB. Have to try the HC one next to save some $$.

The first one of the Maybelline Glow Primer I bought had gone bad somehow the first time I used it , it was absolutely horrendous and I couldn’t understand how anyone liked it, then I really look at how it looked when you applied it and it was totally different than what I had . I was able to return it for a new one and yes I really like it , it’s so light on the skin I personally can’t feel it at all compared to the Elf Halo Glow it’s much much thinner in formula with less coverage. I enjoy them both equally the same but for two different reasons, I can use Elf Halo Glow as a light coverage glowy Foundation i can’t use the Maybelline as light coverage Foundation because for me it’s to light of coverage but as a glowy primer or a liquid soft highlight it’s beautiful. It has enough to come through your Foundation and be glowy unless your Foundation is a honest to goodness matte full coverage Foundation, I don’t think it could be seen through say the OG Huda Beauty Faux Filter because that a true blank out everything product. Everyone’s opinions on what’s light /medium/ full coverage are different for instance some of the Foundations Em says are full coverage for I don’t agree with because I can still clearly see freckles or beauty marks , for me those would be a solid medium coverage and full coverage is when it blanks out all of the freckles and beauty marks. Everyone’s opinion is different and that’s perfectly fine just know what you are buying is all so you’re not upset when it’s not what you thought it would be, in my opinion Em has really good reviews that can be trusted you the buyer just needs to be realistic when we make purchases her videos are not filtered you can clearly see the product and what it’s doing . If you prefer just light coverage and you see it’s doing a really good job of canceling out things and she says it looks really nice and skin like , do not go buy it just because she said she liked when you know you only like light coverage or vice versa then be upset when it’s not what you prefer . I read comments all the time from ppl saying they were upset with something they bought because it wasn’t what they enjoy, when you could clearly see exactly how the product performs they bought it because the creators liked it for what it was . It ended up being a product you knew you didn’t like we as viewers have to listen and take these reviews for what they are not what we as individuals hope they will be , even seeing that the product is or isn’t something you would like we buy it thinking oh I will like it because - reviewer we like said they liked it . We need to watch and listen to what is being said about the product then think do I enjoy that .? If not then don’t buy it to then leave a negative comment about their reviews I hope what I was trying to say came across properly, Em has never steered me wrong on a product I watch and listen and if it’s something I genuinely like in my product or who it works then the chances are extremely high I will be happy with the purchase. I look absolutely horrendous in red lipstick but Em looks freaking stunning in a red lip , if she said it was the absolute best red lippie she ever owned I still would not buy it because I know I look like I’m ready for Clown College in any type of red lip product. Take whatever you can from the video even if it’s just the 20 odd minutes we get with her that day , I hope everyone is having a great day xo .

I have ZERO desire for a large palette. I have decluttered everything except a couple of 4-5 pan small neutral palettes. If you would do a collab for a bite size type palette in the range of that first taupe shade you used, that would be right up my alley. That taupe for crease. A darker color, a shimmer for lid, a lightening shade...boom! Perfection!
The porefector last much longer if you remove sponge and apply with fingers👍💜

So cool y’all were in Memphis! I live about thirty to forty minutes from there. Just across the Tennessee/Mississippi line. If y’all do come back y’all have to go to The Staxx Museum!!! Soulsville! If you love music , it’s a must! ❤❤❤ Then Graceland, and so many other places but the music museum is AMAZING ❤ We go every year because they highlight different bands or artists. The last one we went to they were featuring, The History of The Beatles! Other time it was Aretha Franklin. Just an amazing music history lesson. I met Isaac Hayes there years ago. What an experience!
