I am so cheap that I usually only buy drugstore brands, and these prices are perfect. One thing that I really appreciate about this video is that you also talk about HOW to apply things. Even at 43, I am not an expert at this and feel like I am constantly trying out new things when it comes to makeup application, especially since my skin has changed over time.

I’m about 10 years older and have been wearing makeup consistently since 1983. There’s room for learning about new techniques and products. Makeup is FUN, regardless of where you buy it. I’ve been discovering really good complexion products at the drugstore. It’s already my go-to place for lip products. Eye products are still in the high end category.
Wayne Goss has the wink at the end of his videos, you can’t stop watching until the wink…. Emily has the wink beat, the I love you! You can’t close the video until the Emily “I love you” makes my whole day!

Love this and love drug store! For Christmas I gave my girls an Ulta gift card, the only requirement was that they buy a drug store Emily award winner! They researched and loved it!

Even in Wisconsin we used to get more snow more often than we do now. We're snowless at the moment. I don't like it. It looks drab, we need the brightness of snow if nothing else.

Hey Emily! I love this "Under $10." theme! You could do this maybe once a month, using different color combos from well-used items. One of my favorites is the Maybelline series of The City Mini eyeshadows. Some days just want a simple, all matte look, bur their shimmers are really nice too. You've reminded me that I have a few of these, so thank you! You are very chatty today, but it's so fun! Thanks for the New Year's wishes, and best of the best to you and yours!

I’d love to see themed makeup like “this would be a great Valentine’s Day makeup look”, “this is what I’d wear for St. Patrick’s day”, “ wearable colorful Easter look”, etc! I’m not the best at fun eye looks/full face looks for holiday “themed” makeup but it’s still wearable/not too over the top if that makes sense. Thanks! Love you! ❤❤❤

I can honestly say I have Never wanted more snow.....Hate snow and the cold. Desert rose through and through. Admire anyone who can enjoy living in snow.
Under $10? Now we’re talking! I’ve recently discovered the Wet N Wild Mega Length waterproof mascara at $3 and it’s absolutely fabulous. Very dry I mean dry but it’s great if you like to layer mascara. If you like a more natural look, it’s excellent as well. That was my find for 2023!
I'm a huge fan of Fit Me Dewy and Smooth! It doesn't get enough love, even though it's beautiful. 💜

Love a chatty video! I’d like to see one with the theme, So You Decided to Invest in… something expensive like a Natasha Denona palette, and then you use that item for all of your videos that week, to show different looks.

Maybelline Fit Me foundation in Australia is $25.99. The brands that don’t seriously hike up their prices here are Essence and Flower Beauty, and probably Wet n Wild.

I watched you years ago, then for some reason I stopped but you are back on my radar for 2024. I've always loved your approach towards drugstore beauty and the looks you create that end up looking like you used really expensive products. And yessss the New York Colour makeup I miss like crazy. They had such great lipglosses , the nail polishes were to die for, the bronzer .

Love Believe Beauty! I enjoy their powder shadows, love the purple and green pallets! Their cream blush is among the best that I've ever used.
Their mascara is some of the best out there. And, as you said, the cream blush in Dollface is also wonderful.

Don't feel bad about your lack of snow. I am in Fargo, ND and we only have a dusting of snow on the ground with 36 above today. Unbelievable--last year we had snow over the knee and -25 below. While I don't really miss the -25, the lack of snow is kind of concerning.

I groaned out loud when you said NYC makeup- because I miss it!!! I loved their loose setting powder as a teen, and the only red lipstick that felt perfectly balanced for me was theirs.

Ugh I miss snow days. I live in South Jersey and we used to get a few good snow storms in the winter (which is just enough for me) and in recent years.. we haven't been so lucky in the snow storm department :(

I always have Instant Age Rewind on hand. It's not my most full-coverage concealer, but I prefer the finish over most others.
And a relevant note: wait for sales and clip your online coupons! I consider cvs to be expensive for makeup, but the last time I repurchased the instant age rewind, I stacked deals and paid less than $5 for it.
