Yeah i prefer this deadpool because in this he was more serious and deep. I think he is avoidant of both those things in the deadpool movies by being mocking(although he's always including in this movie a bit mocking, but not over the top) and jabbering through negative situations. It makes his cold bloodedness shine through more intimidating when he can pause and give off that serious inner killer vibe.
Laura Graves Deadpool is never serious which is what made it dumb. His nickname is the merc with a mouth. So what’s the point of that when his mouth is closed shut and he has fucking swords in his arms and the powers of cyclops didn’t make any sense for them to do that

This movie should have been all this team instead of what we got.
The best part of the film was this team dynamic. Had they carried that throughout the film it would have been a much better movie.
What's strange if Fox kept promoting it like it was about the team and characters you see for like 30 seconds (Emma Frost).
It seems to be a common occurrence. Did no one go "Hey I get we wanna get to the obvious betrayal and killing off all these characters........how we don't do that and make the whole film about this FORCE of X-men characters. Like some kind of X-Force"
With the slow disintegration over time with Stryker working them against each other to see who is the strongest, like what was done in Evangelion and Red vs Blue Freelancer Chronicles. And then Logan's amnesia occurring in the second movie. Would have been harder hitting then, like what was done in X-Men 2 with Jean's sacrifice. But, not like Fox was worried about decent stories with Marvel characters at that time. By then, it was just get it done for the quick buck.
Agreed it would of been a whole lot better of a movie with just being about this team and going on missions and cool interactions like these honestly my only favorite part of the movie were the team missions

loved 4/5ths of this film... still very underrated in the X-Men franchise

People tend to forget this Deadpool was before he became immortal. This was just Wade not Deadpool. Wade before he got cancer and went through his treatments was a very different person. Yes you can clearly see he's insane but he's way less cartoony. Such a shame we didn't get to see more of this Wade in origins
