    I love that you featured a fold. You're trying to maximize value, and sometimes the way you do that is by avoiding losing a lot. Folds aren't sexy and they're rarely featured in a format like this, thanks for doing that.

    • @qazzaqstan
      @qazzaqstan Před 2 lety +12

      Especially him folding to a bluff. It is too easy for new players to get into the mindset of you can't let other players get one over on you, instead of that was a spot where they should be bluffing and their bluff should be getting through because on average that is a losing call.

    @Notorietypulp Před 2 lety +1

    Choosing a7s to check on the flop is interesting because it blocks the straight draws that dwan might bet, meaning his betting range on the flop is a little value heavy. It also can pick up a lot of equity on the turn if a 9 or a 5 comes down, more equity than say, ajs, which can only pick up a gut shots worth of equity.

    After the check raise in the second hand would you be bombing the River weather a club comes out or not?

      Yes unless an ace comes then you can block bet. And if a king comes I'd give up most times. Daniel is less likely to have a king if a king comes and Tom is blocking full houses

    People are very easy to manipulate when they rely on solvers and range to dictate, it adds a level of predictability to their play style. People are realising, you don't need to bet every flop where you have the advantage esp vs an aggro player like Dwan who plays ranges more than odds. Let them trap themselves and watch them go red or white on the turn/river as they realise they have it all wrong. DN has really highlighted this after being a little predictable in the previous decade. The time DN spent on solvers and generally grinding out the bugs is evident. One of the hardest working players. GG

    Would it be an okay move to check the 8 back on the turn? That’s what I think I would’ve done

      @Brazz27 Před 2 lety

      Yes, checking is what most people would do, but Dwan decides to bet because his specific hand is never getting value on the river so he decides to merge the turn to keep his options open for the river. Dnegs says he doesnt like the turn bet from Dwan but I disagree with him. (I agree with the rest tho)

    Twelve combos of QJ seems like a lot to me. At what point is it a lot? More than 16?

      Just count how many combos of all the other hands there is

    It would’ve been interesting to see how Dwan approached the river on the second hand. He may have bombed it when that club hit to turn his hand into a bluff.
