My first time buying it, I put it on some nachos in the oven and the chips started to burn and the cheese was virtually unscathed. Then I put it in the microwave and you could hear it whizzing in the microwave, but still never really waivered. I was so pissed. I was trying to make nachos on a budget. Then I read the package and seen that it said "Cheese style topping".

Basically still using redlining maps to determine where they make investments until gentrification. Saying that doesnt feed 8 people just makes me realize how fat some of us are and how bad we over eat(And I used to over eat somethin' fierce). After my family lived with my Grandparents for awhile, we got used to cooking for like 9 people+some left overs, so when we did finally get our own house and my sister moved out, we continued to cook for 9 for quite awhile. It took some convincing my mom and brother that we dont need to make that much anymore.

I used to overeat a lot. Before the pandemic I used to devour a 90 count bag of Tostitos pizza rolls every friday. During the pandemic I gained a lot of weight. I lost like 3/4s of it, but I still eat more than most people I'm pretty sure. If you're trying to lose weight, the key is to eat smaller portions (you dont have to change much of what you eat, but certian foods, like the pizza rolls, should go). Also, try not to eat 3hrs before bed, that goes straight to fat.

Here are a few ways you could make this cheaper: Instead of pre-sliced cheese, buy a cheap small roll of cheese, and slice that one. Since the pre-sliced has stuff added so it doesn't stick to the plastic, it also won't stick to the food you want it to stick to, and the real one can be stretched thinner than the fake one, in terms of giving the food a taste of cheese. Next, instead of that white mixture you added, add straight-up flour (and make sure the flour boils for at least 1-2 minutes, so it becomes safe to eat). Instead of pepperoni, you can slice and fry salami. There's also stock (chicken stock, beef stock, etc.), and the solid version (often sold as a pack of around 6-10 cubes) is cheaper, more compact, and lasts longer. If you have time but not money, you can make the pasta yourself, even if it won't look the same.
Just make a dough, spread it thin and flat, cut it in slices or dices or your preferred form, and you can either store them in the fridge, where they will also freeze-dry and lose moisture (so they can absorb a sauce), or you can use them right away. You can also add sauces or condiments or fruits or vegetables directly into the dough, but, if you will use that dough to make bread or pastries which rise, add the sauce only after it already has risen once. You could even scrape some of that bitter part of the banana peels, mash it well so it mixes well, and mix that into the dough, for a slight banana taste. If you don't like apple peels, wash the apples well, and boil the peels for 1-2 minutes, then mix the boiled liquid and the apple pulp from the apple peels into the dough, and save the boiled peels for frying later.
The difference between the poor people in USA and Canada and those in the rest of the world, is that the poor people in USA and Canada have neither free time nor money, while those in the rest of the world usually don't have money but have time. Honestly, there are a lot of means which are much cheaper to make in bulk from flour, than they are to buy from the store, but most of those take more time to make, but there are some which are quick and easy.
No-knead dough bread is an example of the easy, and dough can stay up to 7 days in the fridge without going bad, so you could make a batch of dough and use it daily for fresh bread and pasta and pierogi/dumplings, and so on. I feel that a lot of those recipes intended for poor people assume those people have no free time, which is in most cases not true. For example, you could use 1 kg (2 lb) of flour to make 5-6 different foods in a weekend day, and have them last the whole week.
Pasta (with and without added flavours), flour-based food wrappers (like tortilla, spring-roll wrappers, lumpia wrappers, shawarma/burito wrappers, and so on), dumplings ready to boil or fry, corn dogs (even if you use something like a boiled beans-and-rice mixture for the interior), pizza sandwiches (olives, fried salami, cheese, and tomato sauce mixed with a bit of vinegar, between two sealed bread halves), fries and chips/crisps/puffs (yes, you can make them from entirely flour, but you can also add flavours to the chips themselves, instead or aside of to the outside of the chips), doughnuts of all shapes and forms (especially putting softer cheese or dryer cheese into dough balls and frying them, or even fruits and vegetables), expanding jam by adding flour to it (which also makes it more jelly like when it's colder, but also melts when warmer/hotter), homemade pizza (if you want thin crispy pizza, you can also use aluminium foil / tinfoil sheeting on the metal grills, instead of a baking tray, to get a nice browning in a short time without heating a baking stone or baking steel/iron), and so on.
Google "clean fifteen" (or "clean 5") and "dirty dozen" (or "dirty 12"), or both of those in the same search, to get a list of fruits and vegetables which can be washed and eaten, and a list of fruits and vegetables which must have their peels discarded, due to toxic/poisonous pesticides used on them.

You have big corporations raking in billions a year only paying their workers $8.25/h in a county that requires a minimum of $2000/m of net income to survive. I don't agree with it. Either big companies need to grow up and quit being greedy or the government needs to step in and say "look, we gave you an opportunity to give back to the economy yourself, and all you're doing is nickel and diming your workers so we're going to make you." Places like McDonalds, Wendys, Walmart, Amazon, Microsoft, Comcast, R&L carriers, and numerous other large companies should start at $10-$13/hr depending on state, county and average living costs.

Thank you for doing these videos! You are right, so many people take even the smallest things for granted and don't understand what it's like to truly not have enough to eat. I have been at both ends of the spectrum: I've had it all and I've been briefly homeless, and I learned to never take anything for granted, things can change in an instant. I do know what it's like to be hungry, and not have enough to get full. Keep doing what you're doing, and please all of you nice people out there: count your blessings and don't think that it could never happen to you. Be kind to one another, all we have is each other!

I think what this man is doing is awesome and sincere. I grew up in a very poor family and this was a time before anyone besides well off people had a credit card, and most were not on any well fare of any kind.
There were times when we did okay, and were able to eat some good meals, but there were times when we'd eat biscuits for breakfast, lunch and dinner, or dry cereal if we had it, or sometimes nothing at all. My mother worked full time, but my dad was sick for some time after they got married and there were no welfare programs, etc. to help us out.
For years, we barely got by, but I can promise you that very few of you have actually went without food, to the point that your home's kitchen was out of milk, bread, meat, and so on.
That was life for me and my family many times, where we would split a dry box of cereal. I'm not sure if many of you remember, but much of the food we had was the food in the plain white boxes because we usually couldn’t accord the brand name items.
So for those of you acting as if you are better, remember that you were just privileged to be born in a different home, and could have easily been born in one without money, or if you are an adult, you could easily be in an city without the job market you now enjoy.
Life is much better now for me, and I have a family of my own. We certainly have lived much better, and have never wondered where our next meal was coming from, but many do today, and people that make proactive choices like this man, to help others is nothing short of a godsend.
SO instead of bellyaching about how you would rather eat "healthier", watch something else or extend a thank you to this man for helping countless others. And to The Wolfe Pit, I hope you are able to continue to make these helpful videos because I know you are helping more than you'll ever truly know.

We couldn't make out the address on the package but it certainly wasn't for us. This thing was heavy too like 4-5 pounds. I know this was wrong to do but at the time we lived like heathens so we decided to open it up. I'm talking about a giant loaf uncut you would see in the deli window. I look back now and just can't wrap my head around that.
