Even if they did eat the entire meal it's only $5.80, that's a good price compared to what it would cost to go eat at mcdonalds until you are full or any other fast food restaurant at that. Even before this virus.
These people scoffing that they can eat it all are the ones who will not appreciate the food shortages.
they have really good italian dressing. do a cold pasta salad video. egg noodles work for that.

Just straight respect for trying to feed people realistically on a budget.
Jordan Moore Agreed!
That is exactly why I like this guy. Most people are not very good cooks. He is inventive even if I don't exactly like what he is cooking.
Most people just need to give things a shot and like his opening intro. The idiots comment about quantity aren't trying to help like he is.
I’m totally with you! Found this site an hour ago. Been watching that whole hour. Up here in British Columbia the dollar stores don’t ha e quite as much frozen food but as a single dude on a budget I’ve gotten tonnes of ideas! Cheers!
True!
ur icon is cool
Don’t waste your time addressing haters
Address the hate just encourages hate. Because its showing off the idiots of the world commenting on a video that has helped people make it by on what they have. Or pay check to pay check... clearly the small margin of hate comments are just people having a bad day.
The Biggest Controversy it’s nice entertainment though
I'm guessing they don't really know what it means to stretch a dollar.
@@thesamedufus2012 Keeping it Classy. Nice
Yeah, don't acknowledge the Trolls and Haters. Your videos are great, i'm sure they are helping someone
My mom grew up during the Depression. She and her siblings lived with their uncle. It was common in those days when it was time for dinner to send any kids who didn't live in that house home as nobody had extra. Uncle Bob never sent kids home. He would ask if their mother was expecting them, but if they wanted to stay that was fine. He'd count noses and if there were extra kids he would cut the meat smaller and throw in more potatoes. Depression cooking was all about stretching what you had to feed who was at the table. You're doing good work!
Awww, Uncle Bob was a real sweetheart. Clever too and knew how to handle the situation and not let kids go hungry.
Uncle Bob was a wonderful soul, helping feed others is a very important thing.
I got so aggravated when you showed the rude comments. This channel is so wholesome and GENUINELY has the aim of helping people. Mr. Wolfe I love your channel and I have watched for years, and these recipes always look far better than the cost of ingredients would lead me to believe. Thank you for all of your content brother, we love it.
One of the dude said the t slur too, mfk just sad lol
These people are rude AF. I am so grateful for these videos ❤️
Mr. Wolfpit is seriously an invaluable resource. Cooking is not something that is commonly taught these days, and having this resource is incredibly useful for those who want to have cheap and delicious meals! It makes me sad that some people are so used to their excessive lifestyle that they struggle to empathize with those who struggle. Life's tough, and there's no shame in trying your hardest to make your current situation as comfortable as possible!!
"Haters gonna hate". Just ignore their chaff and keep on keeping on. Love the channel!
People can only see the world from their experiences. There are "nice" people who have always had "nice" things. They genuinely don't know how good they have it. Don't judge them. Just be glad we have people like Mr. Wolfe to assist us AND them should their lives become less nice.
It’s sad he has to explain himself every minute of the way.
It's because he's been flamed a few times by the trolls. I agree with you, but I also like it because it shows that he's the real deal.
Some people do need such help, literally spoon fed lol
@@calyxxx Yes, this is true, some are born with a silver spoon in their mouths, but they wouldn't be watching a video about how to feed 5 or 6 people on a budget, would they?

Hello, Welcome to the internet.
Agreed. I hate people
haters gonna hate. you can't please everybody.
I was reading through the comments and noticing how nice people were in their comments then I read this one and was like, "WHAT?".
v true hon
Some of the comments that I've read just proves that some people have never really had to struggle. My mama used to make something called dump soup. In dumps whatever was in the fridge into the pot. Made some of the best stuff on Earth.
My mother called that "Ice Box Stew"
Clean out the refrigerator day soup! Delicious and never the same twice!
Lol exactly what I was thinking. I never realized just how many spoiled and entitled people there are in this world. I haven't eaten something like this since I was a kid but just watching this video brings back nostalgia, I fixing to go buy some shit from the dollar store now and make me this
AKA "garbage stew".
I agree, it wasn't until my 30s where I make a decent living, just need to pay off my car and I'm golden
Food doesn’t need to look like it came from the kitchen of a 5-star gourmet restaurant to taste delicious. It can look like gruel, but if you use the right ingredients it’ll taste like something far from it. Every now and then I’ll try to make a good looking meal for my family, but most of the time it’s a mess of stuff I threw together in a soup, stew, or stir fry.
This is obviously not for people who have the money to get better food, if you only have 6 bucks then you only have 6 bucks. This is a great video
Cole that can be true, then again, also a lot of people who do have sufficient money, still enjoy eating the cheaper food options. It can be a matter of taste too.
Some people just like to save money.
Angela TraumaMama true! Some people have a lot of money because they don’t spend it up on expensive groceries or luxury items too. Others like those things. It’s personal preference
In the Dollar-type stores near me, they sell a lot of name-brand foods (think Dole, Armour, La Choy, etc., just in smaller sizes or amounts).
Yep, and this is a much better way to spend six bucks than one chicken sandwich or a frozen pizza.
"Some people complain they can eat the whole meal themselves "
If your eating 5 ramen packets by yourself you have issues lol
Ik and it will taste so salty
5 ramen at once, its all I can do to force myself ot eat 1, dont get me wrong its good, but I mean, I get sick of ramen after 1 pack
I mean, if they can eat it all themselves then you're welcome. You just got a guide to gorge yourself for $6.
Zechariah Siler dont judge me lol
he I mean we all wanna be like goku
I hope you're doing alright, even through the Disease! Stay Healthy, you're doing a wonderful Job. You've most likely saved some peoples' lives with your channel, or at least their health.
A Real Hero!
This beast of a man is still hearting and reading comments like mine. My appreciation and respect grows by the minute
I have to say that this looks way healthier than most high starch budget meals that have very little protein. It also looks very tasty. For a person who grew up in hard times when mac and cheese was considered a main dish, this looks good. Thankfully I can afford more than that now, but I still remember how good that Mac and Cheese was. This looks like something even better.
many people forget to balance nutrition when on a budget. you have to eat some cheap meat or beans daily so you get enough protein and you need enough veggies for proper nutrition (potatoes, onions, and cabbage are great and cheap) or you'll get sick eventually and the malnutrition will just make you feel hungrier and lead to overeating or spending money by splurging on something expensive but nutritious
All I gotta say is I have 24 dollars left to feed my family of 3 and this is going to help us out so much for the rest of this month thank you for this recipe

You actually saved me from starving. I would go days without a meal and then i found your channel. Thank you so much. So very much.
Grim Reefer you realize he could be using a Cell phone not necessarily a computer and internet.
@Grim Reefer You don't need a computer to access the internet. Some people have lower end android phones or cheaper options and can easily go on CZcams if they wanted to. Don't know how you didn't realize that when we live in an information age where basic tech like that exists everywhere, especially in the US where like 95% of people own smartphones.
@Grim Reefer cellphones are free...
Grim Reefer- many visit the library for a warm place and computer access.
@Grim Reefer lol ur mad
Your a great person actually helping people learn things they can feed their family when they are struggling. I grew up very poor so my family made random stuff and our own recipes a lot. Don’t let the haters bring you down and keep the videos coming!
We're heading straight into "I'll eat whatever I can get" for millions of people. Coming to you from late in 2021. These recipes will be excellent for so many people who will be (some are already!) scraping together change to feed their families.
When I was a kid my family was homeless for several months. We had times where even a loaf of bread was a fine meal. Hell, powdered eggs at the homeless shelter tasted better at the time than any IHOP breakfast I've had since. The vast majority of people don't understand what real hunger is and the fear and helplessness of going multiple days with no food. This dollar store fare would have been a feast...
ouchydoom Thanks for staying strong💪
man im a very food oriented person I don't think I could handle going days without food
@Stuckgrenadepin very true. I can remember gorging when food was available and getting sick. But there is nothing that tastes better than eating after you've been starving. Some of the happiest times were after a long awaited grocery trip. Makes you appreciate all types of food. There is almost no type of food I would refuse to eat, even today.. :D

i just ate 8 cups of ramen now my family has starved to death
It's also 5 packets or Romen noodles
Spreading the dish around that many people for a "hard times" supper, I would cut the pork into about half the size of those chunks so that everyone gets a couple of mouthfuls.
I probably would have added two packets but saving them is actually a great idea, they could be used as seasonings for other dishes.

same. lived on it in college too
Did you beat the robber with noodles?
man that must have sucked
Get a gun lmao
@Katastroofi Eelne Not really... you get 5 ramen for a buck and it makes a ton of noodles. The same weight of spaghetti doesn't produce as much because spaghetti doesn't absorb as much water or feel as filling as ramen does ... my guess is it is because of the wavy nature of the ramen, it "fakes" your body to think it's fuller when it really isn't.
I make a recipe like this with my Ramen. Been eating it for years. I use ground pork, or ground turkey in mine. Your recipe looks absolutely delicious!
This was my go to meal as a poor young adult. It was cheap and tasty. I fried the ramen and did a fried egg on top with hot sauce. I think it was less than 50 cents a meal. So many different ways you can cook this!
Ramen stir-fry tip from an Asian: Place ramen in boiling water. The temperature will immediately drop. Add a cup of cold water as soon as it reboils. The temperature drops again. When the water starts bubbling again (not a full boil), drain and rinse in cold water. Stir-fry when ready. This technique ensures the noodles retain a chewy, bouncy texture perfect for stir-frying so you don't end up with mushy noodz. Congrats! You have now reached level ASIAN.
Thank you for the tip!
thank u for the tip love! I think i just realized this is why i like my ramen drained with a couple ice cubes
Thanks!!
great tip thanks
Running under cold water stops the cooking process. When I make mac and cheese for a potluck or office party, I cook the pasta for 3.5 minutes at home at a rapid boil, then immediately remove from heat and pour in as much ice-chilled water as the pot will allow, then run under the tap. Literally 1 additional minute of cooking is too much. If done right, the noodles end up slightly firmer than al dente. Later, I melt down all my cheese ingredients and add the pasta. The cooking process completes to al dente and the final product has perfect texture, instead of turning the pasta into a smeary mush.
As a young college graduate student I truly appreciate this. GOD bless you sir, much respect.

Anyone who hates on this has lived a very privileged life.
And when that day comes that they are in need all hell will break loose.
A dozen eggs cost no more than 1.50$, an onion is under a dollar as well
Not a prvilidged life, just better choices.
farmalltractor that’s literally what privilege is dude
@@veganism0 no it isn't lol how is making a different choice for the same price privilege?
can’t even lie, growing up ive ate this a whole lot
Thats what makes us humble.
Sit on my face
Well damn you turned out beautiful 💐
Roger Toledano you got that right! I catch myself craving this sometimes 😂
You are beautiful !
Most people who complain have never gone hungry. Awesome videos. Thank you.
Thank you for your budget family meals! I have a teenage son who is always hungry & the recipes in your videos help me have enough food to feed my family without going broke.
I'm honestly crying right now. Money has been getting tighter and I've been worried about feeding my family. This video is such a blessing. Thank you!
Keep the faith and remember that there's assistance out there if/when you need it. Cook at home from scratch for the very best food at the lowest price. Good luck.
I appreciate the fact that you realize not everyone has the same resources for food.
I love this video series, right now my family is having a bit of a hard time. Im definitely stealing some of these ideas.
i like using this series as a jumping off point for cheap and simple recipes. ill jazz it up a little bit and maybe it costs 2 or 3 dollars a serving now, but its still cheap and fits into my small budget.
this is a really really decent size . people really don’t understand the idea of “struggle eating” . unless you go thru it
As a single parent I definantly struggle with a full time job, but u have to purchase food wisely eat better healthier options🤷♀️ noodles and can vegetables ain't it!!
Chgo 1221 if you’re a single parent who understands struggling, why come after people over the food they choose to spend their money on? I know you probably mean well but judging and making people who are already struggling feel worse doesn’t help anybody
Growing up my favorite food was tortillas and beans inside.. I had no idea that it was the only thing we could afford at the time. I thank my parents for doing what they can and never making it seem like it was a struggle.
When you're existing on two packs of ramen a day three of four times a week, the economy meals shown on this channel look like gourmet cooking. So for the 'I could eat the whole thing' crowd, I'm happy you've never had to decide between food and heating your house and/or having running water.
👏👏👏👏👏
They might be in that position after the medical bills from the quadruple bypass they’ll need from regularly eating this much
@@TheWonkster Welcome to being poor.
@Tommy Ly he said in the video that they were out of rice, so he opted for ramen noodles which is still fairly cheap.
I saw this video and clicked it. Glad I did. Reading some of these comments is crazy. I can see some people would perish, if they had to survive on less than $50 a week for all meals.
You are not only helping us, but you're also entertaining. I also love your responses to anyone who has to be a trash heap towards you. The fact that I'd have to use my boyfriend's help if I made vids, because I have the dropsies due to peripheral neuropathy, makes me love & respect you even more. So relatable. Thanks again!
I think you are providing a real service for people struggling to put food on the table. You are also creating some meals that look damn yummy if you're not a snob. I would be honored to share one of these meals with you and your family. Please keep making these videos.
I wish you were doing this back in 2012 when I lost my job and didn't have money. meals like this would have helped my food budget.
I was thinking something like that to only I needed him 20 years ago when my mom and I were so poor she couldn't give me 2 dollars for lunch at school 🍁
@@lisapaquette2190 the feels ;(
Yeah I would see who was out sick in school and if they had a lunch card I would be them for a day(or just lunch) lol
@Jerry Ray don't bring politics into this please
@Jerry Ray MAGA ALL THE WAY!
“Put in the 6 eggs that you beat like they stole your lunch money.” “Now we’re gonna stab this pasta like it’s a prison snitch!” His dialogue is amazing 😂
I live alone. I’m a crack smoker. They just put in a Dollar Tree a few miles from my place.
This is a lifesaver.
I believe you addressed all those negative comments very diplomatic! Some folks have no clue what it's like to go hungry...or be food unstable. I enjoy and very much appreciate your videos..they have helped me to feed myself and my child. THANK YOU (and keep them coming PLEASE)
this would be perfect for college students living on a budget
Can confirm as former college student. Lived off rice and beans
This is the fraternities meal when they all have done a damn good job on something
I am on a budget but I don’t act like it
I have four kids, three grown, and I taught them how to cook on a budget and still eat good food! They didn't even have to resort to ramen unless they wanted to! They each had their favorite foods and I taught them how to make them. Oddly enough they were all inexpensive foods to make that could be made in large quantities and eaten on all week! Ham & beans w/cornbread, chicken & dumplings, pasta dishes, pancakes, and more! If you are willing to put in just a little effort, it is less expensive and healthier to make your own food! Super important as a college student or someone with limited funds.
Almost all my life I've had plenty to eat and didn't have to worry about my next meal but back during the 08 crash my families remodeling company was out of work for about 3 1/2 months straight and we ran out of money to buy food and our electricity was being cut off, it was either keep the lights and don't eat or eat in the dark. That was a rough time having to go to our church and family members asking for food, it humbled us and really opens your eyes that many people have lived this way a long time and for some it's a daily reality. So these videos are really great and will help people for sure.
I went to local food banks for a long time when I lost a job about that same time....learn to be appreciative for anything you can get...one volunteer at a church even gave me a $20 bill. I prayed for him to be blessed to give more. Afterwards, seemed strange to go into a grocery store and pay all that money for food...I still shop bargains and at the Dollar Tree.
@@LadyJefferson if you are at a better place, now its your time to pay foward. it doesnt need to be big, but any contribution, be it time or money will help greatly others that are going through what you did.
I spent my whole child hood struggling. Those dollar store meals helps. My favorite one was the frozen ravioli ❤️
I made this for my family and it was actually pretty good. Next time I’ll probably go for spaghetti noodles because the texture of the Ramen felt off in a stir fry but overall it was cheap, easy and worked as expected
Yes, and I would use Angel Hair pasta!
Haters gonna hate, but some broke college kid is going to eat better because of this video. Just remember: "The trick is to undercook the onions. Everybody is going to get to know each other in the pot."
its not about the broke college kids man
Landon Lawhead More and more colleges are opening up food pantries on campus because students can’t afford to eat. My usual meal in college was a scoop of soup beans and a 50¢ pot pie. So, like... yeah, this kind of food tutorial is for broke college kids, too.
I know you don't think of health properties but people should
@@xtanzmitpalmerx don't you think it's a problem college kids are feeding themselves crap, shows how the system is broken
I can't eat grain, rice, oats, corn, nightshades the list goes on. I feed myself alright, but I always look for ideas.
As a college student, discovering these videos has been incredible for me.
this man is a youtube treasure i don't need this and always have enough food but I can appreciate who these videos are meant to help
This beats spending $6 at McDonald's.
Seriously ..6$ will barely get you a couple sandwiches now lol
Fat American Hell, I paid for two meals and it came to $20. I could have bought two or three weeks worth of meat at the grocery store for that much.
They have what’s called the ‘American Meal’ for only $1.22 1 hamburger, 1 small fry, 1 small drink. Rarely do they know what it is, or how much it cost, as it isn’t on the menu. They usually go ask, and then ring it up. Most of the time, they give out upgrades, or for even less money .... it throws them off.
Every Word Is A Made-Up Word ;
No, its not necessary to threaten them. It’s bad enough, that they are working for minimum wage.
I can make 3 squares a day for less than $6 including a 5oz cheeseburger and oven fries for $2 for dinner. All is much better tasting and far more filling than that fast food garbage.
Im eating a peanut butter and jelly for dinner, who's complaining im not
Bruh PB and Js slap
Unless your trying to get out of debt.
Food is food!
What bout those crusts dog?
@@bellmeisterful the crust is the best part, especially the corners
yes Larry you are helping people and never let anyone tell you different
Hey, thank you. I've been struggling pretty hard. These ideas and meals will get me through.
y'all need to hit up aldi! Cans of veggies for 35 cents and frozen steamable bags for under 80 cents. Keilbasa sausage for $1.75, dozen eggs for 65 cents..
Agreed I'm looking at this and thinking I can do just as good for $3.00
I wish we had an Aldi around here...😔
Yeah, unfortunate for some states/cities with no Aldi :(
Beautiful! I love the way you think!
I will next month for sure! But as well as the store he shopped ( $ Tree).
This man is a lifesaver! I don’t understand those folks who criticize him when he’s just trying to help people out. I got laid off from work two months ago after and injury and guess what I’m doing for dinner right now on a tight budget?? THIS so I’m glad this man gave me the idea, very much appreciated! Keep it coming my friend!
Hope you get thru hard time and be back on track soon.
I hope your recovery went well, wish you the best 🙏🏽
I dont get it either. Even if a family isnt real poor, they could make simple meals like these. After a year of feeding your family on a budget youll have so much more money left over.
My family wasnt poor but my mom cooked alot like this and it allowed us to buy things that we certianly couldnt if we ate like many modern families
During the Pandemic, we traded our duck eggs for vegetables.
I haven’t lost my job, but it was harder to find things at the store, and we didn’t want to go every other day to keep checking.
Hang in there dude! Brighter times will come 🙏🏻
I just found your channel. Total fluke. I am now addicted. Thank you so much for showing your creative (and cost worthy) ideas.I can't wait to share your recipes with my son. And definitely a big thank you to your lovely (family) hand models 💖
Thanks for the tip on blanching frozen veg. It always annoyed me dealing with the excess water from frozen broccoli.
