I noticed the name of the manufacturer, Bellisio Foods, on the back of the boxes,so I googled 'em. They also make frozen products under these brands: Michelina's; Atkins Frozen; Quest; Boston Market; Authentic Asia; and White Castle.
I was watching Lynn and Things where she and her daughter review Crumbl cookies. In the comments someone mentioned how you made your own Cruml type cookies. I was so excited and proud for you!
Whenever I do a frozen dinner or even takeout, I always put it on a plate. It just seems nicer and I even use my regular utensils as opposed to the plastic utensils. It just makes me feel better about my meal.
I am starting a notebook with all the recipes that you make I know my family will eat. We do have other stores but money just isn't going as far and everyone has to do what they need to do to keep bellies fed. Your channel is probably the one I look forward to the most. Thank you for such a great job!!!
It looks like for the price, all of these would be a good base for a meal. By adding other ingredients and spices, like more broccoli to the first one, you could not only stretch the portions, but improve the flavor.
I love broccoli and tbh I think all of these would benefit from more broccoli. Some kind of rice side or a salad. Americans (which I am) in particular seem to be afraid of vegetables, but like they're cheap and good for you lol. Dang near any vegetable is delicious when roasted in the oven with just salt.
I'd like to see some reviews or meals based on Dollar Store canned meats (ham, Vienna sausages, sardines, etc) in a future video. Always get good meal ideas from your videos.
Thanks for mentioning using a Southwest/Mexican bowl/meal as a burrito filling. I've been doing that for years with brand name frozen dinner bowls and it's freakin' delicious.
I've never tried this brand of frozen meal, but meals that are on the smaller side like these I would usually pair with a salad for a more filling meal, and to make it a bit "healthier". I feel tired a lot and work late, so I admit a frozen meal and a bowl of salad out of a bagged "ready to eat" salad is my dinner pretty often lol.
Love these types of videos! While I do like to cook...sometimes I am just low energy/not in the mood, and I love having a frozen meal option to pop in the microwave. I know some people hate microwavable meals, etc, I am not one of those people, I grew up enjoying a "tv dinner" on occasion on family movie night. And in my hustle years (fulltime job, partime job, college all at the same time) I def enjoyed being popping a frozen meal in the microwave. I will also say I am a hot sauce lover, so I do pretty much put hot sauce on it all. I'd like to see you continue doing videos like this with other frozen meals from DT, or wherever. I think they are fun!
I just had the Chicken Lo Mein two days ago. I didn't know this brand was exclusive to Dollar Tree, but the meal tasted exactly the same as every other frozen chicken lo mein I've ever had from other brands/places. And they all need at least some salt lol.
A lot of people don't realize that if you're healthy and drinking lots of water you can have a pretty high salt intake. 550mg seems like a lot on paper but it's just not enough, it probably has decent flavor with the right salt level. I also do a little MSG
Thanks for reviewing these meals. Our Family Dollar/Dollar Tree have a lot to offer. I’m going to check when I go back. Thanks so much. I love you’re descriptions of the way things taste. 🥰
That's a very fair review for real people who don't have time to boil a cow to make stock! Quick tip: put the container into the microwave on top of the plate you're going to eat from, that way the last few fork fulls won't be chilled by the cold plate!
An idea, do this same type of video with the "Banquet" meals. I am not sure how many your DT has, but even if you have to go somewhere else to grab a few more varieties I think that would be fun. I know regardless of what store you find those in, that brand is some of the cheapest available. I like the Saulsberry steak one, the turkey one (reminds me of childhood), the chicken country steak one is not bad... but I think it would be fun for u to get as many different Banquet meals as you can get your hands on (DT or elsewhere) and do your taste test reviews on those, depending how many u can find...could be a series, a few days, etc. I think that could be fun...because Banquet meals are pretty much everywhere...so it would be cool to see your feedback on taste, etc.
Dollar Tree has frozen broccoli, and I think I would add some to the Broccoli and Beef meal. And I love your idea of using the SW meal as a filler for burrito
The frozen broccoli would also work well with the Alfredo and the chicken lo mein. I was thinking splitting a bag of broccoli between those three meals would be a good way to bulk it up and get some more veggies. And it would still be an inexpensive meal!
Two Dollar Tree frozen food items I think are great are the veggie spring rolls and the potstickers. I like the pork potstickers the best but the chicken are great too. If you can find them you might want to try them. Both of those items are better to me than the name brand items I'm sometimes forced to by from the local grocery stores. The spring rolls have healthy ingredients too.
I’ve reviewed both of those and I agree they are amazing for the price. I think the beef and broccoli with an egg roll and some potstickers would make a great takeout dinner for $3.75
The Michelina's meals are right around the same price point at Walmart ($1.34) and are manufactured by the same company (Bellisio). So, could go for those as they are quite tasty as well.
Nice video. Just love your Dollar Tree Dinners. You have given me some great ideas. I look for simple and cost effective ideas if I live in a tiny house on wheels. I just wish I had a Dollar Tree, or Dollar General close to me.
I like the mashed potatoes and gravy only . It goes fast at my store . The bowl meal is good in a Taco Bowl . If I have veggies left I add it to the broccoli meal .
I appreciate your reviews of your meals. You're very descriptive and precise with your wording, and eloquent in your delivery. Thank you for keeping us up with your affordable Dollar Tree meal creations 👍
I love frozens at work. I keep one or two in case I forget lunch. I am veg though, none of those would work. I also bulk mine up with a bag of frozen veggies.😊
I have been writing down your recipes and sharing them with a few family members struggling to buy food and we all love them. I'm also starting to create my own budget meals as well. Thank you so much
I came across your channel and had to check it. I thought it was a great idea to make stuff with their products. I don't eat much frozen food but will definitely try these now. I look forward to checking out your other videos.
I know all may not be available at DT, but it could be fun to do videos like this for "Banquet" meals; "Lean Cusine"; "Stouffers" etc etc etc I know u may not be able to get those at DT but giving reviews on popular frozen meals could be fun :)
These videos are very clever! Thank you for taking into consideration various circumstances in which a person or family could find herself or themselves.
Maybe try them again but add spices or spruce them up a bit. Like add a little extra broccoli to the first. Add some extra sesame oil or Chinese 5 spice to the last. Sometimes I wish these meals came in separate compartments that way I could add or take out the bits I don't care for. 😊
This is a great video, thank you! I'm going to go out to my Dollar Tree and get some of these meals this week. I am new here, and you may have already done this, but it would be fun to see you get all three meals from there for a couple of days, breakfast, lunch, dinner, plus snacks! On the more healthy side, if you can would be great, thank you again!!
Rebecca, so far the only one I've tried is the beef and I LOVE it. I actually stopped by, though, to add an additional piece of info. A few days ago my microwave bit the dust. I experimented with heating it in my air fryer, and I actually hit it right on the money the first time. Lift the corner of the lid to vent, put the meal in the air fryer while it's preheating. 400 degrees for 10 minutes was perfect, but if you want it hotter you can go one more minute. If it gets too hot some of the noodle ends get a little crispy. I happened to enjoy that, but not everyone would. I hope my air fryer experiment helps someone ☺️
I know summer is over but it would be cool if you could do a southern style bbq plate but like have the main thing be sausage or hotdog “burnt ends” maybe some dirty rice and corn bread. I know some stores have canned sides like greens but I’ve never tried them. Just a suggestion.
Great video per usual. Always enjoy your content and my son and I always make a bet before watching on how many times your going to say "essentially"...lol. He beat me today!! ❤
In my frozen dinner days, I would get some frozen or canned veggies to add some bulk to my meals. These sub 300 calorie meals aren't enough for lunch for me, I'll be hungry again in an hour. 😢
With the holidays coming, can you do some pot luck meal ideas for parties and get togethers? And maybe some budget dinner/birthday party meals with drinks, snacks and meal options? ❤
I always enjoy your videos. I do suggest you repurpose a few of these meals for a future video that could be interesting. Keep the dollar tree content coming people these days need this kind of content and I appreciate you for putting this type of content out thank you.
My daughter got the beef and broccoli one day and its pretty good. A fun project would be recreating these meals but cheaper per serving and better quality. And probably more generous servings.
We keep some of these in the freezer for quick meals for the grandkids. The chicken and mashed potatoes is their favorite. Also, the Banquet Chicken Tender meal has actual chicken strips, not the nugget style chicken. Those are also a big hit with the grands.
Very carb heavy for the small portion. But it is dollar tree so cheap price, and probably on par with similar dinners :) can use this as the base and add protein to beef up!
Hi, you need to try the veggie spring rolls. They are amazing. I bake mine and they get brown and crispy. Thank you for tasting these. You could have a small side salad or some bread on the side if they weren't enough food.
It may be too late to comment, but I really enjoyed this taste test. Actually, i enjoy all of the taste tests you have done! The first video of yours that I watched was your Thanksgiving meal taste test. As I don't cook a bug Thanksgiving meal, I frequently eat a frozen turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. With this one, I had to laugh about the beef and broccoli meal nit having much broccoli. I love broccoli, but my sister does not. So the scarcity of broccoli in the beef and broccoli meal would not have bothered her at all! Meanwhile, i would probably be adding some frozen broccoli of my own to make up for what's not there. Of course, that is not the idea. The meal should be complete on it's own. I would like to see you review Dollar Tree's canned and frozen veggies and their snacks, cookies and chips etc. I have tried DT cookies and was not very impressed.
I would use those as a side dish because the portions are small say if you made baked chicken and you need a side dish it would come in handy nice review.🌍👍🌍😘🌍💯🌍🍀🌍🍂🌍✌️🌍👏🌍😋🌍
I got rid of my microwave last year but I still will try these! I would put them in the fridge within a day of use and just heat it in a covered pot on medium til it's hot! Dollar Tree still beating the grocery stores in price! These would probably be $3-4 at any grocery store.
Hi I don’t know if you will see this but I found your videos recently and I really enjoy them . I’m working my way through all of your videos and noticed you mention some bread mixes that you don’t use because they require eggs. I was wondering if you would consider trying some of them but utilizing egg substitutes such as applesauce instead of eggs to see if someone who can only shop at dollar tree could do it that way. Southern frugal momma put out two videos listing 8 egg substitutions. Maybe that could give some ideas. That would be so helpful just like all of your videos. Sorry if you already did this and I just haven’t seen the video yet. Thanks for all you do!
Could you try something with the canned mussels or canned jarred clams? I never know what to do with them but they seem so interesting and a good way to try seafood.
If only these and others weren’t so high in sodium. I’m on low sodium diet. I miss the convenience of microwave meals. But it has forced me to cook more and to use more herbs.
Wow I will have to try these meals I think I will add extra veggies to them or add an extra protein even extra rice just to make it more filling if you revisit these meals agin what would you add to them ❤
You made the comments in Frugal Fit Mom’s Costco video today. She was saying don’t buy the crumbl cookie gift cards and someone mentioned your cookie video ✅
I noticed the name of the manufacturer, Bellisio Foods, on the back of the boxes,so I googled 'em. They also make frozen products under these brands: Michelina's; Atkins Frozen; Quest; Boston Market; Authentic Asia; and White Castle.

Whenever I do a frozen dinner or even takeout, I always put it on a plate. It just seems nicer and I even use my regular utensils as opposed to the plastic utensils. It just makes me feel better about my meal.
I do also, and usually add a bowl of a cut up fruit for a dessert❤
Thank you! We’re a family of 7 but I’m the only one home all day. These would be a cheap hot lunch some days.
I am starting a notebook with all the recipes that you make I know my family will eat. We do have other stores but money just isn't going as far and everyone has to do what they need to do to keep bellies fed. Your channel is probably the one I look forward to the most. Thank you for such a great job!!!
Thanks so much! 😄
I have done this also I love my little notebook such good recipes. Love your videos!!!!
I think that's a great idea!
I could see where these could be a starter for a nicer dish by adding more veggies and seasoning. Thank you for this video
It looks like for the price, all of these would be a good base for a meal. By adding other ingredients and spices, like more broccoli to the first one, you could not only stretch the portions, but improve the flavor.

I can do that!
The Dollar Tree deviled ham is the best deviled ham I’ve had.
My chickens like the sardines
Thanks for mentioning using a Southwest/Mexican bowl/meal as a burrito filling. I've been doing that for years with brand name frozen dinner bowls and it's freakin' delicious.
Wonderful idea❤
Using the southwest bowl as a burrito filling is a great idea! Could add some chicken and cheese too - WW
Certainly! A quick and easy dinner for those busy or tired nights
The chicken fajita bowl looks like it would be great for breakast with an egg on top.
That’s a great idea!
Thanks for always being the guinea pig for all of us! So appreciate your honest reviews.
Heck yes, Michelinas! I ate more than my share of 88 cent cheesy broccoli rice.
What’s crazy is that even Michelina’s are $1.34 at my Walmart right now
Thank you for your honesty. I like the assorted egg rolls, spring rolls and their garlic bread is great in the air fryer.
Just want to let you know. I appreciate your show, economy is forcing me to shop frugally, helps to know what's going on. Thanks!!
Glad to help!
I feel you there. Eating out is getting to be insane. I'm trying to eat at home more.

Another great video Rebecca! I think you should do frozen pizzas from the dollar tree if you can get some to review. I personally love frozen pizzas
Great idea!! I love their pizzas too
I just had the Chicken Lo Mein two days ago. I didn't know this brand was exclusive to Dollar Tree, but the meal tasted exactly the same as every other frozen chicken lo mein I've ever had from other brands/places. And they all need at least some salt lol.
That's very good to know
A little soy sauce added to any oriental frozen meal helps
A lot of people don't realize that if you're healthy and drinking lots of water you can have a pretty high salt intake. 550mg seems like a lot on paper but it's just not enough, it probably has decent flavor with the right salt level. I also do a little MSG
You give food preparation a whole new image! Another charming dinner. Another winner. 💜
😊 thank you
Thanks for reviewing these meals. Our Family Dollar/Dollar Tree have a lot to offer. I’m going to check when I go back. Thanks so much. I love you’re descriptions of the way things taste. 🥰

I have them all in a review playlist which should make it easy, thank you! 😄
I actually got hooked on potstickers after watching your video on them 😂😂 I pan seared them with a little oil like you and they were delicious!
@@DollarTreeDinners girl mightve just done something with this one
The Michelina's meals are right around the same price point at Walmart ($1.34) and are manufactured by the same company (Bellisio). So, could go for those as they are quite tasty as well.
Love the michelina meals and they're easy to make a full meal but making a salad or serving bread alongside
I greatly appreciate what you do! You open the package and show us! Thank you so much!
My oldest would get the beef and broccoli one for school lunches on a regular basis during senior year.
Nice video. Just love your Dollar Tree Dinners. You have given me some great ideas. I look for simple and cost effective ideas if I live in a tiny house on wheels. I just wish I had a Dollar Tree, or Dollar General close to me.
Even if one of these isn't filling enough, eating 2 is still fairly budget friendly.
Definitely! Or you could pair the beef and broccoli with one of their egg rolls, the southwest bowl with some chips, to make it more filling
So smart!
That's what I was thinking. Plus small portions can be perfect for senior citizens
This was a really useful video!!! Thanks & have a great weekend!!
I like the mashed potatoes and gravy only . It goes fast at my store . The bowl meal is good in a Taco Bowl . If I have veggies left I add it to the broccoli meal .

Rebecca, Great video. I'm a vegetarian, so I wouldn't eat any of these, but back in the day, I would have tried them. 😊
Thank you so much
Can you try to make a seafood boil from dollar tree ?
The only thing they really sell is shrimp so it wouldn’t be much seafood haha
@@DollarTreeDinners I was thinking the exact same thing lol
They also have mussels meat now and they have the smoke sausage can whole potatoes corn
Some stores have canned potatoes, and some have frozen cob corn. I haven’t seen any kealbasa.

Thanks for doing this video, was curious as to how these where. The southwest bowl would definitely makw good burrito filling!
I love watching your videos! Look forward to them always !
I work at a college at they sell these meals at the Campus Bookstore!
