Russian Black Sea Fleet To Get Thermal Imaging As Ukraine Unleashes Sea Drone Attacks In Night

- Russia is now developing a thermal imaging system for the Black Sea Fleet to effectively repel enemy overnight naval drone attacks. The thermal imaging system that is being developed will help detect targets at a distance of over 1 km. A Russian military airfield in Crimea has reportedly caught fire for a second night in a row after Kyiv launched consecutive long-range strikes on the peninsula. The Belbek airfield, near Crimea’s Sevastopol port city, where Russia bases its Black Sea naval fleet, is "on fire again," as per Russia’s Astra news. Russian military bloggers reported a second night of Ukrainian strikes on Sevastopol, with one account saying up to 12 missiles were fired toward the city.

Idont know about you but I have been working on ships for many years and theres no way that you would hear a drone from 1 KM away or even se one unless you knew its comming
@@yggdrasilbushcraft7984 Depends what engine they use, the engines of like shahed drones are loud enough. But 1km u'd normally see something coming anyway, but the issue is to actually target/hit it.

Russians are slow to react. They should have their own kamakazi fleet guarding the black sea fleet. They need a short tange subsonic missle system to target these drones. Shooting them is not 100% successful .

@@bekeneel jamming doesn't really stop something already going after a target, it just stops trajectory changes. but like they likely aren't ever gonna need to change the pathing of them, they are going after all static strategic targets. its pointless to waste ammunition that is so valuable on something moving and only have a high chance rate vs a certain chance rate
@@Chivalry2Clips Hmm I'm no expert but I know it caused some problems for gmlrs from himars that were less accurate cuz of EW systems jamming. But Ukraine prob fixed it, For drones it's important too since they rely even more on that.

The thermal imaging system should be inexpensive because they won't need many of them. Most of the Black Sea flotilla has already sunk or sailed home to russia.

Now you see why Ukraine is quickly running out of ammunitions. It's because they use them to target facilities such as authentic, bridges, like refineries. They don't use it in the front lines where it can benefit their army. Russia is longing the trade, 6-10 colleges in exchange of an oil refinery. And by the time Ukraine has brought the kerch bridge down (which they are very obsessed with) they would have lost most of their land to Russia already.
They are not obsessed with that bridge cause if they were it wouldn't be standing. They have the Atacms that can reach it now and we know Russia can't shoot them all down. They just got swacked by atacms days ago. Ukraine is not running out of ammo anytime soon, the bill that passed will fund them for another 2 years. What they need to worry about is getting more men to the front. The last few months of ammo shortage really fucked them up and RU has been making them pay. RU seems to have found an exploit in the donetsk area and they are moving slow and losing men but non the less they are moving forward. At the pace they are moving tho RU is not taking most of their land any time soon.
